His purpose for dying was so that we are able to stop living by the soul and live by the spirit. He walked on the earth as a man without sin. An example for us to follow. What did he tell the woman caught in adultery? Go and leave your life of sinning. Grace doesn't cover intentional sin. Where did you learn that?
Can I get a bit more information on what the death of Jesus did to make us to stop living by the soul of man and live by the spirit? Do you ever intentionally sin? Give me an example of when you unintentionally sin? I am trying to get a better understanding of what you are trying to tell me.

Man can tie God's hands. If man dies in his sin, God cannot except him. Unclean cannot unite with clean. It's not that he will not except them, but he cannot. It's impossible for him too.
What If man has been born again and he dies while having an devilish thought?

The spirits of just men was made pure and sealed and thats the part of us that GOD sees but we should be In the process of renewing our minds.

Romans 12:1-2
King James Version(kJV)

1.)I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2.)And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I don't commit sin intentionally any more. If Paul was saying that he would have been contradicting himself. Whatever sin you are doing, Just stop or fix it .
If you read Rom 7 about Paul's conflict, what is your interpretation of those verses?
e...,
Even though The Bible tells us to .......fear G-d........, there is little fear of G-d today because the new age religion belief that OSAS...is controlling and that no matter what one does or does not do....salvation rights are some how guaranteed.
This is one of the ...great deceptions.....folks are buying into resulting in self spiritual destruction.
Can you give me your interpretation of John 6:37-38?

Paul is talking about the thoughts that still come into your mind. You can't control every thought that comes into your mind.
The devil is working all the time to poison our thoughts.
rom 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
I believe, according to the way it is written that Paul actively did what he said, and even if it was just in his mine he still sinned according to Matt 5:27-28, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time. thou shall not commit adultery, but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Paul's conflict with the flesh as recorded in Romans 7 and 8 Then Galatians 5...

In these scriptures the Apostle contradicts the life under the law and the life under grace filled with the Holy Spirit.

The one under the law has such conflicts. But the one under grace does not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

why? cos the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ has made him free from the law of sin and death.

The same Apostle Paul tells us that we are dead to sin and alive to righteousness.

We are also told that sin shall not have dominion over us.

I know you know these scriptures...

With these scriptural background, I agree with John that whatsoever is born of God cannot sin for God's seed remains in him.

Let me ask you. Will your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, return to the cross for you? No, of course not. It is one and done, His work is finished and sin can no more condemn you than Jesus will hang upon the cross again. How else is sin remitted? Through bloodshed, and that blood is the blood of Christ from the risen Christ. He has an eternal priesthood by which He intercedes for you, He is the eternal sacrificial Lamb. There is no more sacrifice for sin.

This being so, what condemnational fear ought to entrap me based upon a premise that Christ's sacrifice was insufficient? No, my friend, the blood of Christ is sufficient for all sin. That fear is not godly fear, but a fear based in deception and ignorance to the truth. Christ and Him crucified.
You asked a question and answered it yourself...

Jesus said we shouldn't fear the one who after killing the flesh can do nothing. But that we should rather fear God, who after killing can throw the person into hell as well.

What do you make of this as well?

When God created Adam, Adam lived by the spirit. The spirt is how he communicated with God. When Adam sinned the devil told him that his eyes would be open. What eyes? He was seeing through his physical eyes. It was the eyes to his soul. When he sinned the soul came up top to lead and the spirit went down. Since the soul governs the flesh, he then discovered that he was naked. I don't intentionally sin anymore, but unintentionally for example , I get mad at my husband and I tell him off in my head, but it never comes out of my mouth:LOL:

That's why Grace was given to us. Because without Grace we lose.

Yes, We were but natural man, void of the Spirit, and having no righteousness of our own, but when we are born of the Spirit, the only righteousness that we have is the righteousness of Christ imputed to us. We, after we are born of the Spirit, still carry the baggage of our sinful nature, in which we war against daily, as Paul did. Sin does not have dominion over us, in the fact, that Christ has wiped those sins away, but because we still have our sinful nature, we do at times yield to the temptations that are in the world, though it does not effect our eternal destination because of Jesus's sacrifice for those sins.

Therefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire” – Hebrews 12:28-29.

The above scripture tells us that godly fear is a work of grace. Nowadays, there are very few teachings about the fear of God. And most of the few teachers that teach about the fear of God, define the fear of God to mean the same thing as the love of God. Others interpret it to mean reverence. But the above opening text clearly differentiates reverence from godly fear with the word “And”.

The fear of God is distinct from the love of God and reverence for God. We can clearly see this distinction by checking through the original words which they were translated from.

The love of God is from the Greek word “Agape”, meaning affection. Reverence for God, as used in our opening text, is from the Greek word “entrepo” meaning, to respect. While the fear of God which we are now discussing, is from the Greek word “eulabeia” meaning caution or dread.

Hence, we are to walk in the fear or dread of God for our own good. The Lord doesn’t want us to fear anyone or anything, but he does want us to fear and tremble before him. Hence, in the new covenant, he says he will put his fear in our hearts, so we shouldn’t depart from him (Jeremiah 32:40).

Then the Lord Jesus tells us again, that we should not fear those that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather we should fear him (God) who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28).

So Why Should We Fear God?

Sometime back, while I shared this message of the fear of God with a young man, he asked me; “can you love and fear your father at the same time?” I replied, “Yes, I loved my parents for whom they were to me, but at the same time, I feared them, because if I messed up, I would be rebuked or punished”

When John talks about perfect love casting away fear, he meant condemnational fear (1John 4:18). And this condemnational (bond) fear, that John says perfect love casts away, is different from the godly fear we are talking about here.

I have felt both of them. Condemnational fear, like John says, has torment. It leads to self and people condemnation. It also leads to struggle with sin. It kills faith. As I struggled with this kind of fear some years ago, like John says, my encounter with the divine love of God by revelation, gave me eternal victory from the clutches of condemantional fear.

While godly fear on the other hand, is a gift of the Spirit of Grace. It confers mastery over sin. Godly fear helps you depart from sin and perfect holiness (2 Corinthians 7:1). Godly fear stabilises love and faith in the heart of a believer.

As a matter of fact, many Christian who confess righteousness with no practical evidence of righteousness in their characters and words, are actually suffering from the missing link of the fear of God. They get carried away with God’s love, goodness and faith. But pay absolutely no attention to the fear of God, divine severity and eternal judgement…

Because they have been wrongly taught or wrongly believe that the fear of God is the same thing as the Love of God or mere reverence or awe.

Now let’s see the scriptural reasons why we need to fear God...

Securing Our Eternal Salvation: “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”—Phil 2:12. From scriptures, we see that a saved soul can be cut off if he doesn’t work out his salvation with caution and trembling (Romans 11:20-22). Judas Iscariot lost his bishopric because he didn’t work out his salvation with fear and trembling.

Mastery in Holiness: From scriptures we see that the fear of God is the master or perfect key for Holy or godly living. Here is exactly what the word of God says concerning this:

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” 2Corinthians 7:1.

Enjoying Divine Wisdom: The bible tells us that the fear of God gives us access to divine wisdom, which is uncanny wisdom. As a matter of fact, the bible defines wisdom to mean the fear of God. Here is the exact scripture: “And unto man he said, behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding”—Job 28:28. Hence, to be walking in the fear of God, is to be walking in divine wisdom.

To Enjoy Divine Blessings: “Praise you the Lord, blessed is the man that fears the Lord that delights greatly in his commandments. His descendants shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endures forever”—Psalm 112:1-3. So the man or woman that walks in the fear of God enjoys divine blessings amongst which is wealth and riches.

So the list above, are the major biblical reasons we must have to walk in the fear of God. God does not want us to be afraid of anyone or anything. Neither does he want us to have condemnational or tormenting fear. But he does desire and instructs us to fear him for our ultimate and eternal good.

Remain Blessed!

I always wondered how you were supposed to fear Him but think of Him also as a loving father that we should commune with and not e afraid/intimidated to tell anything to...

They say that you often treat God like you felt your parents treated you and i actually SEE this..both my parents were strict diciplinarians and even though the loved God..they used His "reference" more when i was naughty so i grew up thinking that God was just another disciplinarian ..i still catch myself thinking this in some situations. And that ive DONE things and always getting a consiquence when its probably not that at all..hard to understand i guess but to fear someone and then feel ok to have an intimate relationship with someone that can be intimidating is a fine line for me.

Jesus is an example for us to try to follow, but he is the only one who holds that record, that none of us will be able to reach.
The only one we will not be able to reach is bad thoughts. If you can't stop commiting sin then you do not fear God.

1 John 1:8-9-10, If we say we have no sin,we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleans us from all unrighteousness, if we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.

If I am hearing you right, you think that you never have a reason to repent Is that right?
