certainly, The Spirit and the flesh are in 'constant contention',
as it is written;
GAL. 5:17.
'For the flesh lusts against The Spirit, and The Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would'
IF,
we strive to 'over-come', sometimes we will 'lose the battle', and sometimes we will 'win the battle',
but, with Jesus Christ as our Helper,
PHIL. 4:13.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
this means, as Romans 7 tells us, 'there is a constant 'battle', but IF we REMAIN in Christ Jesus,
then He will always be there to help us 'over-come' our 'flesh-nature' -
this is how we can see our new 'reflection' in the mirror of God...
