Yes. Worldly people treat each other like garbage . . . and that's what is happening, and is allowed to happen, here.
There are plenty of people who post on this site who never treat others like garbage but are simply part of the Christian family trying to see and understand the Lord clearly. They may disagree, but the two people who disagree share the same goal of trying to see the Lord clearly.

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are called the Gospels but where they disagree seem to be on accounts of events.
They are not really "disagreements" but different aspects of the same events. Also the personalities of the evangelists must be factored in, as well as how the Holy Spirit guided them to write what they wrote. For example, Mark is very brief while Luke provides more details. But Matthew is more chronological, and John is more into the depths of Christ's teachings, while he omits most of the miracles. There is also the matter of focus. In Matthew Christ is shown as King whereas in Mark He is shown as Servant.

God's word who is Jesus is a Spiritual Book ---So we read this Book with 2 lens ----The Worldly lens will bring a worldly view ----the Spiritual lens will bring a Spiritual view ----and the 2 will oppose one another -----That is why Jesus taught in Parables as the ones who's hearts were open by God the Father to understand the Spiritual meaning understood what message Jesus was actually delivering --

But here is the problem with the Spiritual view------- in my opinion ----many actually see the actual spiritual message differently ----Why because we are all on different levels of our Faith journey and as we Mature our view on the same message will have a deeper meaning ---the Holy Spirit meets people at their level of understanding -----We are in a Carnal state of understanding until we move on to a higher understanding of what the scripture says -----which is the Spiritual Man state -----The more you are in the Word the more Wisdom and Knowledge one gains by and through the Holy Spirit -----A Baby can't eat solid food until they mature somewhat in their baby stage ----so the knowledge the baby has will become great as they mature and they can start to eat solid food -----

Here is a comparison that I hear from John MacArthur once -----

The New Christian is like a Bag of Marbles the marbles are held together in the bag ---but when you break the Bag ---the Marbles separate---- their holding together was by the outer Bag ----so their spiritual wisdom and knowledge is limited and they see the meaning of Scripture in different Lights ----their lens is like a double vision -----some worldly mixed with the Spiritual -----

The mature Christian is like a Magnet ---when you put a magnet over medal pieces it picks up all the Pieces and they are held together by an Internal Force and their Spiritual wisdom and knowledge becomes greater and they will see the Spiritual in the same light ------ their vision is from one lens ---

So some agree and some disagree on the Same Scripture ------it depends on the lens you view from and your Spiritual state -----

So though it may seem weird here ------there is an explanation ------in my opinion

this is a 3 min video ---on the different lens ---

What does it take for us to put "God's Glasses" on everyday?

Thank you,
How many of us can admit that OUR lens may be the WRONG way to look at a world desperate for the salvation and knowledge of God.

This video exemplifies many thoughts in our heads daily as we go about life, we have all been guilty of this at times.

People are like ICEBERGS,you only glimpse the part that rises from the deep,
Underneath the waters ( people) some icebergs are so large they take down huge ships. The part not seen can be all the hurts, anger, anguish, emotional, mental and physical abuses suffered, failures with family ect. that people hold onto.

This post made me happy bc,at times I need reminding of "How I look at things and people" as opposed to how GOD sees them.

Loved the marbles analogy,I most probably was wrong about you bc I viewed you through the WRONG lens. I apologize with deep sincerity and will TRY always to LOOK THROUGH GOD'S LENSES FIRST........prayer needed.

Four things:

1. I am encouraged by the brethren on this website.
2. It is incredibly efficient and useful for me to be able to study others' views on certain doctrinal issues; it sharpens me.
3. You may find fewer (or no) disagreements in the other sections of this website (e.g. the poetry or cooking or testimonies sections), which you are free to explore if it's more comfortable for you there.
4. Not everyone here are Christians; some are hecklers, messengers of Satan. But the guardians of the Truth will snuff them out.

“there must be factions among you, so that those who are genuine may become evident among you.” (1 Corinthians 11:19 )
"Guardian of Truth?" Is that what we are calling moderators now days? LOL @Oncefallen will appreciate that. :)

Do you not find it interesting that, when we all gather together, even in God's name, we find no accord?
I realize I am taking this statement out of context a bit, but it does not make it any less striking.

I disagree with you vehemently. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we are one body, especially when we worship Him.

The reason I am on this site is that it helps with my study of God, and I don't think I am alone in that. If we thought we knew it all we wouldn't keep studying.

I'd like to know who the MODs are here. Who's facilitating this public perpetual "Christian" discord?
Well, that isn't so unusual. Since the beginning, the disciples, apostles, and brethren had disagreements and different perspectives. Sometimes it's due to intentional vagueness:

Notice below that Jesus neither confirms nor denies that John will never die. John penned this letter and didn't attempt to interpret what Jesus meant. However, John noted that his fellow disciples, apostles, and brethren actually had a different perspective than him, "Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die:"
John 21:20-23 KJV
20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? 21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? 22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

Here's openly public opposition between two hand-picked, God-ordained apostles: Paul (formerly known as Saul of Tarsus; Acts 9:11) and Peter (also known as Cephas; John 1:42)
Galatians 2:11 KJV
11But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

So this isn't unusual really. There have always been different perspectives and different sects. Jesus said, "he that is not against us is for us":
Luke 9:49-50 KJV
49And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. 50And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

"JAPOV, post: 4783412, member: 312574"]In the time of Nimrod, men still knew how many generations removed they were from Adam and Eve. Men knew precisely the God they were rebelling against despite their knowledge of God. Do you not find it interesting that, when we all gather together, even in God's name, we find no accord?

Claiming ownership of what God has provided freely, World conquest through subjugation, And denying God has been at the heart of man's downfall since Cain and Abel... What monument to man's arrogance and greed have we built despite God today?

referencing the heavy type above

what?

Well, I kinda' figured they would introduce themselves lol.... Perhaps give the common rabble an opportunity to ask questions like...
-How many nationalities and denominations does "CC" actually host?
-Where are the MODs themselves from?
-What does the future hold for "CC"?
Maybe clear some things up for those who come here seeking online "WWW" fellowship and find this confusing, in-cohesive mess. It's just difficult for me to accept that God's word inspires so much argument... Among Believers!

Perhaps this is a perfect example of why God divided us at the tower of Babel...

first off welcome to Christian chat. Second, you make want to start by reading the titles of each forum before posting. Much of what you are asking is answered in the Welcome to CC Forum thread and the founder has his personal greeting.

All Moderators are volunteers. There are not many. However, the site has been here for a long time, and I know of three that started after CC and no longer exist. If you have an issue with something there is a report tag in each posting window, use it. Or you can Pm Oncefallen or the founder.

have a blessed day.

Have you asked them? They're the ones who can answer your questions.
Isn't that what their thread is doing?
According to what [member] "Magenta" put in her second paragraph (first sentence) of Post #6 of this thread, it doesn't sound too likely that a "Mod" would even see this thread, unless someone [or someone else] specifically brings it to their attention.

[...but what do I know. Just pointing out what another has said, is all = ) ]

P.S. I see you are fairly new here at CC... I just want to add: Welcome! Hope to see you around the boards. = )

The OP is specifically referencing the incessant, infantile, immature fighting that proves an Eternal problem with the hearts of those who lack maturity.

1 Corinthians 3:2-3 NLT - "I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren't ready for anything stronger. And you still aren't ready, for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn't that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren't you living like people of the world?"

Yes. Worldly people treat each other like garbage . . . and that's what is happening, and is allowed to happen, here.
My spirit leads me here... but my spirit is hardly ever rewarded.

Disagreement over interpretation is NOT synonymous with jealousy. When you disagree with others, you are equally guilty of the "immature" behaviour you decry.
Are you suggesting that argument for the sake of argument is good for the spirit?

I truly want to believe that. However, I see time and again those with the knowledge of God starting arguments with no spiritual direction or purpose whatsoever.
