I voted for Bush, and was with the Religious Right every step of the way when they pursued impeachment against Clinton.

And now, today, I very much regret both actions. Fortunately, I wasn't registered to vote in Florida.

I wanted Huck to win, but I think the 700 Club old man Robertson ruined having Preachers as Presidents.

So you glory in your shame.

Got it.

Isn't that Philippians 3:19?

You should read and submit to Romans 6:21. A lifestyle of repentance may help.

Glory?

Nah, I am honest to a fault. I mean, all you will do is judge me because that's what you Southern Baptists are known for. But God has saved me and that's all that matters to me!

I was formerly Southern Baptist, too. Grew up as that as a kid. Even grew up to vote a few times in the Baptist General Convention. Later, as I grew to make my own belief decisions, I went a different direction. Southern Baptists aren't all bad, but there are issues I have with it.

No, you were gloating in your shame. Grow up from that.

I'm no Southern Baptist. I have little use for it or its false gospel preachers and now leftist leanings under J. D. Greear.

If you're saved then Soli Deo Gloria!

The Southern Baptists were formed to defend and PROMOTE ...

The Southern Baptists were formed to defend and PROMOTE slavery and the KKK amounts to the terrorist arm of this sect. The KKK not only terrorized African Americans but ran Jews and Roman Catholics out of the rural areas as far north as Indiana and Ohio.

Nice term, but why Latin?
Promoting Catholicism now?

What's ironic about this is the Democrats also supported the KKK

So both Democrats and Southern Baptists have always been targets of mine.

It doesn't really matter what any of us actually think since not a single one of us was there. But you seem butthurt for Christ to be so unbearable. Are you in love with the picture of Jesus on your wall or the Jesus who DIED for your SINS?
Butthurt , LOL .. I think I stated earlier that I refuse to have any pictures of Jesus in my house or even a cross , but that a cross can look good on a neckless .. I don't know those early writers/historians to trust them any more than Adam's housecat and someone always drags them in it seems .... I have the Word and my own testimony from my own generation of Jesus ..

In your original reply to my post, you claimed the Bible/via the Holy Spirit did not go into full detail of Christ. And I would agree to that. But just like we have gathered more specific details about the 70 AD Jerusalem Destruction from Josephus, one would think his description of Christ would also be welcomed. Neither are from the Bible itself, but both comfirm Matthew 24 and Isaiah 52.

Pure unadulterated urban legend.
Jesus' race was Arab.
. . . Like I said, daring say the obvious that Jesus was Palestinian doesn't sit well with many Christians. And you didn't disappoint. Keep those dislikes coming. Sunday morning is the most segregated time in America, and this idea that God has some "chosen race", as opposed to the second-class, non-chosen race of Ishmael is pure racist myth. And it's got to go.
Traders with Tyre are recorded in Ezekiel 27, listed as people groups, with Israel and Judah together
and distinct from "Kedar and all the princes of Arabia," Kedar being the second son of Ishmael.

So it is Scriptural, and not urban legend/racist myth that's "got to go" as you claim.
Unless you are willing to toss your Bible, and/or claim it is wrong.

Jesus came from Isaac's line as the son/Son of promise, not Ishmael's.
And that is a pretty important distinction to make. Please don't miss it :)

I think I was pretty clear where I stood on Josephus and all the rest, I don't know them .. I don't care where anyone else puts their faith

He is a historian. Generally, Historians are unbiased. Yet, he was not a Believer in Christ, more likely followed the Law. But still, he had no reason to distort the image of Christ.

The intent and symbolism was there at least.
A false misrepresentation of baptism will never equal symbolism nor intent....Baptism is full immersion, not pouring water from a bowl and or sprinkling....the only thing it represented was...

A false image of both John and Jesus

A false mode of baptism

We do not chunk dead bodies on the ground and pour or sprinkle a handful of dirt on them!

And to the biblically eneducated and or someone in ignorance, they may see this and be lead astray from the truth.....exactly why I despise this kind of crap!

Huh?

Did I ever at any time say there wasn't a Jacob and Ishmael in the Bible? There is absolutely nothing in the Bible remotely supporting the idea that the Arab race of people are descendants of Ishmael, and all the Jewish "race" are descendants of Jacob. And in fact there is plenty of extrabiblical evidence against it. That is a racist belief YOU chose to hold on to.

You know, there's another story of what God did that may not have have heard, being an English-speaker: when God was making humans, he first put one human blueprint in the oven, and he took it out too soon. Those humans came out white. So God tried again, but this time, He left it in too long. Those humans came out black. Then a third time, God put it in, and this time it came out just right. Those were the Asian people.

NOT OKAY. Not in God's name.

Oh somebodies gonna fill that void and mess with us. Below is what’s going on in Minneapolis.

As the city of Minneapolis moves to dismantle its police force, Minnesota state Rep. Steve Green on Tuesday stated the obvious that virtually everyone else has been tiptoeing around and pretending isn’t there: “What you’re looking at, in my humble opinion, is communism moving into Minneapolis and St. Paul.” And not just Communism, but the Leftist/Islamic alliance. Green asserted that Antifa and Muslim organizations plan to “police Minneapolis under Muslim rule.” Those who scoff at such a notion simply aren’t paying attention to recent developments.

Saw an article about armed residents stating police are not allowed in Minneapolis. This can be for another thread, no? Don't want to take away from the OP's topic.

I just gave a verse that shows Arabs came from Ishmael's line, but you deny it and choose to call me racist for believing the Bible? LOL. Yes, I choose to believe the Bible. Sadly, you do not. Thanks for letting me know.
