If you are trying to be justified by the Law of Moses then drop it!
Since I am not attempting to be justified by the law of Moses, I will not drop it.

The reality is that Jesus is the God of the Old and New Testaments; and therefore we can find His commandments in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament economy of things, we do not obey Jesus in order to be justified.

We obey Him because we love Him (John 14:15, John 15:10).

We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19) and gave His life as a ransom for our sins.

I agree with Evmur that the law has no further demand on us ---

Hebrews 10 NIV --you should read the the Chapter for the Full Context

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,

and I will write them on their minds.”[b]

So here we see God says Laws ---He doesn't say He will write just the 10 commandments or all the 613 laws on our minds and in our hearts ---I think God knew that the laws He gave were impossible to keep and brings condemnation death ---so it makes no sense for God to put these laws in our hearts or mind ----The Holy Spirit will convict our conscience when we sin -----so there is no need to have them in our hearts or our mind ---The laws were put in place to show sin ----

One of the 10 Commands is ---do not lie -----

So justbyfaith ---have you ever told a lie being a Christian ----if you have then you have just broken all the laws ---according to-----James 2 CSB says
--For whoever keeps the entire law, and yet stumbles at one point, is guilty of breaking it all.

---Under the New Covenant there are Laws ---and I believe these are what God has put in our hearts and written on our minds ----

The Law of Agape (Love-)-Love God first then love your neighbour ----
The Law of the Spirit of Life ----The Spirit of Christ gives life -----

The Law of Liberty-----The Gospel offers peace and freedom through Salvation in Jesus Christ
The Law of Faith ----Justification comes by way of Faith not works

Except that if we are born again, the love of the Lord has been shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5).

And if we truly love other people, we will not be disobedient to the moral tenets of the law (Romans 13:8-10, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6).
We believe in love we do not believe in the law

Even when we's saved still our flesh and the mind of the flesh are at emnity with God and when we try to control the flesh by the law saying "thou shalt not" the flesh and the mind of the flesh will rise up in rebellion against the command.

This is the famous struggle you hear christians talk about which they never get victory over the sins that beset them. We say STOP stop torturing yourself, spending your whole life under condemnation because you can't get victory.

The only victory over sin in the bible is the blood of the Lamb. Faith in the cross will bring victory over sin.

I want to make it clear that my trust is not in my law-keeping, personal merit, or works, to save me;

But that my trust is wholly in what Jesus did for me on the Cross. I am forgiven of past, present, and future sins through faith in the blood of Jesus.

So, does that mean that I should not seek to be holy before God?

If I am justified through faith in the blood of Jesus, does that mean that I should just live a sinful lifestyle and blatantly go and break the commandments of the Lord?

I think that the fact that His love is shed abroad in my heart means that I obey the commandments of the Lord (Romans 13:8-10, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6).

I am fully aware that my keeping of the law is not going to save my soul. Therefore I do not put my trust in my law-keeping to save me.

The reason why I obey the commandments is because I am saved.

I love Him because He first loved me (1 john 4:19) and gave His life as a ransom for my sins.

Therefore I obey His commandments because I love Him (John 14:15, John 15:10) for that He saved me from certain death which was the wages for my sins (Romans 6:23).

He also saves us, not only from death and hell; but from our sins (Matthew 1:21) and from all iniquity (Titus 2:14).

And not just the penalty but the practice of it.

Romans 7:14-25 speaks of the law of sin and death; the principle that "when I would do good, evil is present with me" (v.21)...

In Romans 8:2 we find that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set Paul free from the law of sin and death...

And is also able to set you free.
