As one that says one can still live in sin and be in right standing with the Lord... you don't understand the new birth. View attachment 258309

I'm born again and have become a New Creature In Christ... but the Lord told me that I can do ALL things thru Christ Who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13) so He gave me power to quit living in sin and making excuses for sin like the OSAS peoples do.

Too bad you didn't get the memo! View attachment 258308 .

It's sad that some don't know that the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience (Colossians 3:6) as they believe they can continue living in their sinful lifestyles and still go to Heaven... they gonna be shocked when they go south when they croak.

i still fail to understand why everyone who believes God, not doubting the salvation He has purchased for them, gets automatically accused of "excusing sin"

by the sounds of it your judging people's salvation

No, my "judgement" is against the false doctrine of the OSAS peoples because it's deceptive and UN-biblical.

The OSAS peoples always come out with "your judging me!" right before they start crying and stuff oh-my.gif

I don't think your any different to those who believe in osas with an ego issue that is.
Well opinions are like belly buttons... everyone has one but Adam!

I am no longer in Adam I am in Christ, God sees me in HIS righteousness.
The Lord must have given me a better salvation than what you got... He not only made me a new creature IN Christ, but He empowered me to be an over comer and to quit living in sin by the power of the Holy Ghost

Maybe you'll get that someday and won't have to waller around in sin every day

I'm talking about the false doctrine of the OSAS peoples which is deceptive and UN-biblical.

These folks believe even if one continue living in sin, they are saved anyway which was satan's original message to Adam and Eve and it's alive and well today!

The OSAS peoples get this false doctrine from well known preachers such as Gnarly Charlie Stanley... whom they look up to as being a great man of faith... but he's actually a heretic! crazy.gif

In his book, Eternal Security, Stanley says

"Even if a believer for all practical purposes becomes an unbeliever, his salvation is not in jeopardy” (Chapter 10, p. 93)

“Christ will not deny an unbelieving Christian his or her salvation because to do so would be to deny Himself” (p. 94).

“Believers who lose or abandon their faith will retain their salvation, for God remains faithful” (p. 94)

He actually taught one can be a "gay christian" and still go to Heaven proving he is a false teacher!

Here's a video where you can see video of Charlies saying this (just a few minutes into the video)

In this video, Gnarly Charlie says he's proud of Andy and supports him after heresy charges

If what you say were true, and you had gotten the victory over all sin [or Christ in you had] and the Holy Spirit was empowering you to walk in victory you would be of a different mind and a different spirit.

You would have the greatest compassion for your brethren who were still struggling, there are teachings that enlighten and help us to walk in holiness and there are teachings that just dump on the weaker brethren and throw them into utter despair and hopelessness.

.... don't kid yourself that what you are doing is in any way pleasing to the Lord.

There was the case of the notable sinner at Corinth which totally shows that Charles Stanley is right.

This man was openly and flagrantly in a sexual relationship with his mother, a sin so awful Paul said even the heathens didn't do it [Paul lived in a world of homosexuality]

If there had been the slightest chance that this man would be damned Paul would have said so, he would have failed as an apostle in his duty not to have warned him. Paul did not do so.

The man was to be barred from fellowship and handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that his spirit would be saved.

The guy later repented and was brought back into fellowship and comforted.

Osas is only a false doctrine in the wrong hands.

The sooner you realise that the better it would be for you,

Besides all the arguments you put forward is nothing new, and we have heard it all before.

What I often find is anyone who raises this debate quite often, is someone wanting to be the centre of attention, and quite often just someone who likes to argue, and someone who has found an excuse to insult people with an argument they can get away with. Which is the chance that some is commiting heresy.

The sad part is it's allowed because no one can stand heresy.

Only quite often many people who raise this argument quite often assume heresy is happening even tho it's not.

I have never heard anyone who preaches eternal security correctly ever excuse sin.

All your creating is a strawman

what really confuses me about the intentions of this Thread is that the OSAS Doctrine, on its own, without anyone's input, is a Perfect Doctrine.

what ruins the OSAS Doctrine, is the addition of the GRACE Doctrine.
this is where you get idealism's like, it's ok to sin because future sins, you have not committed, are already covered [Bible literally Does Not say that] anywhere.

“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God;”
Romans 3:24-25

“But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his OLD SINS.”
2 Peter 1:9

nowhere in the Bible is the complete phrase, "future sins" listed.

so, it is actually the GRACE Doctrine, that is faulty, within the OSAS Doctrine.

There was only 1 time in history that sins were paid for. If all our sins weren't paid for then, we all end up in hell.

it is paid for, when you say, forgive me of that new sin i committed.

you said that the first time. nowhere says to say stop saying it for each sin.

in fact, Jesus said to say the Lord's Prayer Daily because it includes EVERY DAY confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness.

you, are twisting the meaning of that concept.

What's interesting about the concept of the Lord's Prayer, is that it teaches you to do that in your secret Prayer life, not go to the Temple and pray this.

So. It's designed for the New Testament or Gospel of Christ Doctrine to repent daily.

How could Paul crucify his flesh daily without doing it through seeking forgiveness of sins?

I didn't quote a verse.
But what I stated is true. And the reason confession works isn't because we confess sins or are sorrowful, but because our sins are paid for. Every sin ever committed will be held to account. Either Jesus paid for them or we will.
If salvation depended on confession, it would nullify grace and alleviate our need for a Savior. It would also send us all to hell as noone has ever confessed all their sins.

Who pays for sins committed after the cross?
How about you just do whatever you want to do.

Nowhere nada anywhere in the Bible is the term Future Sins found anywhere.

Some Man created that idea.

It is literally a man made doctrine.

why does Jesus say to Ask for Forgiveness every day?

i feel that your answer is in that.
Because we need to keep short accounts with God. Sin hinders fellowship and communion with God. Forgiveness allows for restoration of these.
Also, in true confession, we are in the proper estate before God. We come humbly and broken. This is an estate where we recognize our unworthiness and also one that God does not despise.
Also, we recognize how prevalent sin is in our lives, and our need daily of divine aid.
But none of this is the basis for forgiveness. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins because He accepted Jesus payment for our sins.

what are you confessing in this daily Prayer to be forgiven?
