Well, a lot of other sources say the same thing.

Point being, I'm not going to be associating with the pagan observance of easter, but I will celebrate Passover since this is what the Lord calls it. He doesn't associate with pagan goddesses ether! View attachment 261425

In the NT, Jesus Christ is out Passover.

He did so in error.

Maybe he enjoyed celebrating the pagan goddess garbage. Some of these guys back then were freaks!
I understand your concern. We have been conditioned in our society to think of the Easter bunny when you say the word “Easter.” At one time, the word “gay” did not have the same meaning like it does today. In our current day, if you say that word out loud in public, heads will fly. But in the past, this was not the understanding of that word. Sometimes words change in meaning with the passage of time. In the King James Bible, there is an instance where the word “conversation” is in reference to “behavior.” It’s an archaic word now. So words change with the passage of time. Granted, some may see this as a flaw of the King James Bible, but I see it as a strength in that God’s Word is separate and holy from our Modern day English.

How can the kjv be perfect if the scripture categorically calls its language impure? will the scripture be later even more perfect than perfect?

i would think it's clear from this text that the though the Word of God is perfect, our language is not.
The door swings both ways. If one is to claim that the words within the Scriptures cannot be perfect because the language is not perfect, then that presents several problems. The Scriptures were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek and were divinely inspired by God. There was no imperfection in God’s words despite these biblical languages not being the pure language spoken about in Zephaniah 3:9. In short, what this means that certain select words in that language that God uses to communicate to us are perfect or pure words. For example: God can make ground holy whereby it was not holy before. In other words, the Bible (Which is perfect) would not be the same thing as the pure language prophesied in Zephaniah 3:9. God can pick and choose what words in a pagan and impure language and make them to be holy words. If not, your Bible is lying and it is not the Holy Bible, but a holey Bible (a book full of errors or holes and imperfect speech). Jesus says His words are spirit and they are life. Jesus said Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Nobody can speak, read, write, and hear Koine Greek and or understand it on the same level like when it was a living language. Yet, people can understand most of the words when the King James Bible is read. The King James Bible is the most printed book in the world, and has caused the most revivals in human history. It still is a very influential book and regarded by members of the body of Christ as the preserved and pure words of God.

I think its important to remember God is the author and he used imperfect men to write it as they were led along by the Holy Spirit.

And because languages have a systematic range of meaning, words are not always translated the same. as in the English word Love.
Which Greek has many words for Love. I believe God is over HIS word in every language known to man. Therefore, the KJV, NIV, NASB, AMP. NLT all have areas that are strong in translation, weak, or watered down. Yet it is up to us to study it and not lambast the version or translation. The authorial intent is achievable. The Holy Spirit is still teaching and guiding into all truth of the word.

King James onlyism started as a reaction to changes made by textual critics based on different manuscripts than those used for the KJV. It all started with the Revised Version which was published in the late 19th century. It claimed to be a simple revision of the KJV; but it was later discovered that it used readings based on Textus Sinaiticus and Textus Vaticanus. This upset a lot of people, understandably so since it was all done by stealth. As time went on, and more translations were made based primarily on those two manuscripts, hysteria began to set in. Instead of thinking and talking about it logically, conspiracy theories began to proliferate and eventually people started claiming that the only really true word of God was the KJV.

Simply put, they can't accept facts because their beliefs aren't based on facts but on conspiracy theories and emotions.
I am still in shock over this. Really, the fact that poster Jamessb gave you an award rep for this post is even more troubling and disturbing beyond all imagining. You are basically saying that God chose a movement that has its roots in evil and darkness in being blessed to have the more correct line of manuscripts of the Bible (i.e., the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus). However, on the other hand, those Reformation Christians who were martyred for their faith by the Catholic Church like Tyndale who died for the Word were mistaken or not blessed in the fact that he had the lesser correct Bible line (Textus Receptus). Today, Catholics supervised your line of preferred manuscripts. This is stated in the 27th edition of the Nestle and Aland Critical Text. But Catholic ideas were being placed in Modern Bibles since the Revised Version and they only grew in number over the years. I am sure you probably don't have problem with that, either.

God is not the author of confusion (among the saints). He does not speak conflicting things. The Modern Bibles teach false doctrines and yet the KJV does not do this. Plus, the Bible gives us promises in the Scriptures that His Word is pure, and that it would be preserved forever. In addition, God’s Word says we are to speak the same thing. This is not possible in the Modern Bible of the month club.

Amen. I 100% agree with you. This whole newly changed glorified body fable is not really found in the Scriptures.
At least it is not something I have seen clearly spelled out in the Scriptures.
That can only be from ignorance of 1 Corinthians 15.

That can only be from ignorance of 1 Corinthians 15.
On the contrary, it only strengthens my case. It says, "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." (1 Corinthians 15:44).

Paul is talking about the same event in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. They will be changed to have a spiritual body in the
"caught up together" event (or the Rapture as Christians call it). But after the Rapture takes place (Which could take place prior to the Tribulation or during the first 3 and a half years of the Tribulation period), believers who die from that point in the Tribulation will not be raptured will be physically resurrected so as to go through the Millennium or the 1,000 reign of Christ. Revelation talks about those who were beheaded with Christ will LIVE and reign with Christ a thousand years. Raptured saints will receive a flesh and blood body on the New Earth after the Millennium.

Side Note:

It is possible that the Tribulation saints may have spiritual bodies, but it is only temporary or for a short period of time until they are resurrected physically to live and reign with Christ on the Earth during the Millennium.

Again, you are not fact-checking anything. You are just going off your own thoughts.

Then by all means you should jump on that pagan goddess celebration thing and get all up and jiGGy with it.

So, I'll call it Passover like the Lord calls it and you can call it whatever you think is best for you broman.

I'll be happy with what the Lord is leading me to do, and you can, well, whatever.

BTW ~ Angels are said to be immortal according to Scripture. We are said to be like the angels in Heaven. But this is for a period of time in Heaven, while the Tribulation saints and certain patriarchs live physically on the Earth during the Millennium (or 1,000 years).

The KJV, NKJV, the NIV, and the NLT are not causing confusion :) The Bible is where we get our Doctrine.

The foundational truth of God's word must be built on Christ. I do not see false doctrine in the NIV, the NKJV, or the NLT in context to the Person of Christ.

You say we are supposed to speak the same thing as the bible says so?

1cor 1:2, 10-12-13
2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place

4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,
6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,
7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

What is that "same thing"?

We must read on

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.

what contentions ?

12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.”
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

No thanks. Just because I do not adhere to your false reality does not mean anything.
Your insults are just as bad as Calvinists I have ran into over the years.
We are supposed to pray and love even our enemies.
Our speech is supposed to be full of grace seasoned with salt.
I just do not get that impression you are into doing that by your insults here.

You said:

Which Bible are you referring to?

You said:
I'll be happy with what the Lord is leading me to do, and you can, well, whatever.
Does not God lead you by His Word, the Bible?

You said:

Great claims require great evidence.

Give us the proof and not opinion.

The whole point of saying the same thing was that Christ who saves is the Christ we follow, not a personality.

The context of saying the same thing was not that we agreed with you or me, but our Identity is Christ, Period.

The attention was on those who water-baptized believers. And taking it away from Christ no different than today, as many do in this very setting.

The KJV and Modern Bibles do not always teach the same doctrines.

You can check out my list of Changed Doctrines in Modern Bibles starting in my post #1,777.

Here are list of Catholic ideas in the NIV (Which also appear in other respected Modern Bibles).

Catholic Ideas in the NIV - ChristianChat.

In fact, the Revised Version (the first English Bible of the Modern Bible Movement) promoted about 6-7 Catholic ideas. This number grew with the following Modern English Bibles over the years.

What should disturb you even more is that the 27th edition of the Nestle and Aland NT Greek Critical Text says it was supervised by the Vatican. Do you want to follow a Bible that was influenced by the Vatican? I sure don’t. Well, unless a person is Catholic or ecumenical I suppose it would not be a problem. Note: All recent Modern English Bibles follow the Nestle and Aland.

By the way, Stan. I do not use Easter to refer to the Passover in conversation because that is not how people understand this word. However, I am not looking to correct the Bible when it has that word. I will explain its meaning to other people. It's the same when it comes to other archaic words in the Bible. I will not use archaic words generally when I speak Modern English with others. But again, I am not looking to change God's Word and condemn myself.

Again, I ask you, where is your perfect, inerrant, and inspired Bible that you can hold in your hands?
Do you have one that you show to other people?

Stan, your not answering my questions. Do you have a perfect, inerrant, and inspired Bible that you can hold in your hands?
I would say if you don't it is just as equally crazy.
But no, Stan. You are falsely accusing me of worshiping a goddess when that is not what I believe.
I worship the Lord Jesus Christ who is God.
Jesus is the creator and the Savior. I worship Him alone.
Yet, you don't care. You claim that I am worshiping a goddess, right?
There is not something right about you in the fact that you are falsely slandering a fellow believer.
What year were you born again? What year did you change and accept Christ?

You think the KJV is literally perfect and it's not.

In the old testament God used the Word passover so this is the word that should have been used.

The KJV translators made an error when they used easter rather than Passover.

No need to get upset. You can call it whatever you'd like, but I'm going to call it Passover.
