By who? Who killed them God or satan?
The context is clear...they lied to God and the breath of every living thing is in the hand of God...God said...I kill and I make alive...Jesus said to fear the one who had the authority to KILL and then cast into hell<---The Heavenly Father..........No offence, but use your head and come to a solid conclusion based upon the facts friend!

Now you are mixing old and new. That is out of context.
Show me where the bible says like you say, even though it looks like you are scared to come right out and say, God killed them?

Look pal...I have no problem in coming right out and saying that GOD killed Ananias and Sapphira as the context is clear....and the point above shows and sets forth the consistency of God from the Old to the New.....yes there is a greater offering of grace in the N.T. and that in now way shape or form alleviates the fact that God, at the warning of Jesus in the N.T. has the right and authority to kill anyone he chooses to kill.....So...instead of going to seed on something, accept the truth and just acknowledge it.......

You always seem upset in your posts. I dont get upset with anyone.
And I hurt that you would think God killed them just like that. The bible doesnt say that but you do. Where did you get this authority to add what the bible did not say? I guess you know the warning for adding something that is not there.

Stevie...I am not upset at all.....The context is clear...They lied to God, are confronted by Peter and they both die because of their sin...The breath of every living thing is in the hand of God...context makes it clear that God took their lives....go read the account for yourself......it is not wrong nor unbiblical to make deductive conclusions based upon the facts of any given passage...sorry if I offended you!

I already told you I dont get upset with you or anyone else. Its also imposible for you to offend me. I love you.

I would not assume as you have just done to blame The God of life for killing them. God sent His Son to bring Life He is the aouthor of life and you just accused him of killing them from what is a popular teaching. You can make any conclusions you like . But the fact is the bible does not say God killed them You added that.

Look, I will not argue with you...Jesus clearly warned the disciple to fear God who can kill at will and cast into hell.....They lied to the Holy Spirit and great fear came upon the church by Peter rebuking them and them forfeiting their lives....The breath of every living thing is in the hand of God...he took their lives...receive or not...as far as arguing with you I will not and am done with this convo.......Other than to say that at the end of the AGE, under the NEW Covenant God will judge this world by his indignation and when he gets done he will make a man (singular) more precious than fine Gold....Yes he is the God of life, he also judges and kills (takes life) at will and is within his right to do so.......

First of all I am not upset and you have not read the bible if you have to ask where Christ warned of God killing and casting into Hell......Here go look up the scriptures and then apologize for accusing me of making up opinions....

Luke 12:4-5
Matthew 10:28-29
Revelation 2:23

And speaking of scripture....I have not seen you post one yet in our conversation!

Discription of Job.

They committing the unforgivable sin as they committed blasphemy of the Holy Spirit by directly lying to Him.
They were struck down for committing that sin, but that is the only sin under the new covenant that God right now takes His vengeance out on.

When the Lord returns His vengeance will be poured out on all who deny Him and are unrighteous.
The OT is full of examples where God destroyed or had people killed for sins, and Revelation states and shows He will do it again on the unrighteous sinners.

Hold that up in a court as proof and you will be laughed out of court there is NO evidence that God is in control of everything in the passages you quoted. Please highlight the part you think proves that God is in control of satan and Job

You believe that God is in control of everything. Then that means you believe that God kills our children with cancer and accidents. You believe that that God kills everyone at the right time for His porposes.
You ask me with three quetion marks did I read Job. Yes I did. And I used to believe the false teaching you now believe. But I left that behind.

I beleive God is good all the time and would never give satn authority to hurt anyone.
I believe satan is acting illegally.
I believe Jesus when He say I came to give you life to the full.
I believe satans a liar and comes to steal the word.
Kill man
And destroy everything he can.

I will post tomorow when I get some time how you and many others are believing a lie because of false teaching its really simple. God is either good or hes evil.
And I know God is good all the time.

You are not understanding the verse you quoted in James either.
You making it fit you false theory. God does not send us trials. satan does that.
But you are blaming God. How can God be responcible for taking our children and be good. That is a horible thing to accuse God of.

I'm also still waiting for you to produce one verse of Scripture. You have not done that in all your posts. I carefully posted the relevant verses from Job, showing that God pointed out Job to Satan, and basically said, "Go ahead, afflict, except don't take his life." So Satan took his kid's lives, and in chapter 2, God gives Satan permission to afflict Job physically, as long as he doesn't kill him."

You are posting opinions which are not based on the Word of God. I would doubt you have ever read the Bible cover to cover, or you would be dissuaded from this Health and Wealth, Word of Faith heresy, you keep presenting as fact, when it is poor theology and conjecture, your opinions, not based on the truth of the Bible.

I suggest you study the bible a little more friend.....as God in Hosea states 7 different ways in the which he takes the children away when a nation is ripe for judgment, God caused Herod to be eaten with worms, David had physical ailments due to his sin with Uriah and Bathsheba and even struck David's 1st born son with Bathsheba with sickness and took the SON after David begged a week for a reprieve.....and that is just 4 examples off the top of my head!

Another reason to understand the different covenants and what they mean. God loved Job but Job was not under the new covenant. He again didn't have the advantages we have. Our sins are forgiven by the blood of Christ. We do not suffer God's wrath and judgment anymore due to the fact Jesus took our judgement on Himself. The OT saints still waited for the Redeemer. We have Him. And we have the HolySpirit. David was punished for his sins and dealt with the consequences of his sin. We will suffer from things on this earth but not from God's hand. Jesus took that judgement and wrath for us.

Knowing the differences is major to a proper understanding of our relationship with God in the new covenant. I have read the OT and am very thankful I am no longer required to up hold the law and come up with blood sacrifices continually when I fail each day. I have an open door to the Father due to the Son. (so do all believers now but many don't know it and are still trying to pay for their sins each day)

Being under a New Covenant has nothing to do with the consistency of God and his unchanging nature and character...Ananias and Sapphira were under the New Covenant and lied to the Holy Spirit and were dropped dead on the spot.......

Next!

The subject of Ananias and Sapphira has come up before and I'm sure you have heard before that those two were not believers. They came into the new church and tried to infiltrate it and were struck down for messing with God's new church. God doesn't kill us., He saved us and gave us His Son Jesus to pay for the sins we commit. Ananias and Sapphira had no such covering.

I have noticed that a few attribute the things that happened unto Job as from the hand of God and I want to remind everyone one that God did not do these things to Job, but rather allowed Satan to do these things unto Job....Job had the same problem...He wrongly believed that God was doing these things and that is a point to be pondered and learned....Not everything that happens bad in our lives is a direct result of God moving against us...sometimes it is the enemy being allowed to touch us for whatever reason and or lesson that we need to learn......maybe to get us to have a deeper faith in God............just a point to ponder!
I hate to resort back to my RCC Catechism, but here goes:
Who is God? God is the Supreme Being, maker of all things.

Satan didn't merely do that to Job when God wasn't looking. He actually had to go to God to ask. Why? Because God is the supreme being. Got to check with the boss before doing something, even if you hate the boss.

It didn't slip by God. It was decreed acceptable to God. God even limited Satan, telling him what he could not do.

Again, Rom. 8:28. "All things" means "all things," the good, the bad, and the ugly. All things. Job was covered, under Rom. 8:28, even though he never heard of the Law, never knew there needed to be a redeemer, and never heard the name Jesus.

I will never accept a god who can't manage everything that happens.

You are limited in your understanding of what God can do.
If God was gracious to resurrection33. Then that is the gospel.

I dont understand your estimations of God.

You look like your missing the part of we die to self with Christ. Our lives are over when we take up the gospel message.

I baptized my 22 and 19 year old son and daughter. They are now dead. Alive in Christ.
Thats the gospel.
A 25 year old baptized his 22 year old and 19 year old kids? Wow. Some miracle there.

If you are in a tremendous amount of physical pain, that is going to pretty much take up all of your attention.
I am. And, I still have the capacity to care for and about hubby. Job seemed capable of hearing his friends and wife.

I agree that there could be many reasons this book was left to us. My goal here was to point out that the Lord does not force us to suffer. If we go to him with our problems, he will help us solve those problems.
You should have been the ones to teach the apostles. Think how much suffering they could have avoided with your say-so.

I'm out of here. You have it set in your mind to teach your own gospel, and let's just make up something when it doesn't fit the real one.

Job 2:10 - ...shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?...So according to Job, at first at least, God's judgment of him was just[Job 9:12;30-33], yet he felt compelled by his own honor to speak his part, rather than to directly ask for healing, as it seems.

"Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant [me] the thing that I long for! Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!" Job 6:8-9
"I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me [not]." - Job 30:20
"When I looked for good, then evil came [unto me]: and when I waited for light, there came darkness." - Job 30:26
"Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes." Job 42:6

Some of what Job said and MUCH of what his friends said about God was not true and they needed to be corrected and they were. God regarded Job and saw him and was aware of him all along. Job didn't know that it was satan that caused these things to happen to him, not God.
