The only Christians that would agree with the statement “The Bible teaches...” are people that adhere to a post reformation Christian doctrine. The others (Catholics and Eastern Orthodox) believe the Church is the teaching office Christ established.

oy vey

LOL! also

and millions of others no doubt

Rom 8 .23 says what the Adoption IS
23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Perhaps you're hung up with semantics or don't want to acknowledge that the scriptures are the living words of Jesus that teach us truth. If they aren't meant for teaching anything, one wonders what they are for then.
I already quoted this verse.
2 Timothy 3:16

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

But my point is the bible doesn't teach it says .
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Then came the word of the Lord to Jeremiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, “Will you not receive instruction to obey My words

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you,

Yes , that's what they are saying.

Scripture tells of an eternal world, one that is very different from the world of the flesh. Even time is different. I find it impossible to comprehend what it would be like to live when time is eternal, not sequential.

Most of the old testament uses physical events as symbols of the spiritual. Scripture itself explains we only see darkly, and it is so complex that we can spend a lifetime studying it and always find something new. At the same time, its base is so simple that the youngest child can understand.

The only way we can understand the words of scripture is to be born again, and unless a person has experienced this it is impossible to know what being born again is. Even then we see darkly. I am so very excited about leaving this flesh and entering this fascinating world. Imagine a world ruled by love!

Diet control, they were not to eat meat from animals who ate garbage, symbolized keeping the mind clear of garbage. Cutting foreskin symbolized cutting out fleshly thinking and marking that they belonged to the Lord. Moses freeing the mixed crowd who were slaves symbolized Christ freeing us from sin. The sacrificial system symbolized Christ. The camp in the wilderness symbolized the kingdom of God. The temple in stone symbolized the temple that is our bodies. On and on--------.

The title of this thread is wrong, a lie and i would imagine upsetting to christians,
To make matters worse where now all trying to be proven wrong for something we dont agree with.
Its over whelming that most people posting in this thread do not agree with the title of this thread and i feal that you shouldnt be making a doctrine out of an opinion based upon your own understanding to prove a point, especially with the way in which you have titled this thread,
I was annoyed as many others have been when i verry first opend this thread to read your opening statement with no real justification other than some argument youve had with other people is wrong, then to read your prideful comments as well as your no desire to admit your wrong is well dispointing and not exactly a fortress of God.

Seariously are you having a laugh or just deliberately trying to wind people up is what i thought.
Your pushing people further after youve allready pushed them and quite frankly this behaviour is the same behaviour as a troll. im not saying you are one but your are in danger of becoming one
