Did you watch the video? Do you think the people in that video are exhibiting the Holy Spirit?

If everyone who says they are exhibiting the Holy Spirit, no matter how outlandish their behavior, and doing things found NOWHERE in Scripture, why are we told to test the spirits because not all are from God?
Many things in the bible are first time things.
I understand what you are saying,but apparently the number of miracles Jesus did could not be recorded due to the volume of them.
So to say something is wrong because you can't find it in the bible,is not very well thought out. (I am not referring to your video. I dont watch hack jobs,even if some are obvious fakes. I believe to center there is bringing shame to the kingdom,both by the fakers and the hitmen that celebrate exposing fakers).
I dont know if you read Smith Wigglesworth. He did many "first time things". The Holy Spirit lead him that way.

Something to ponder long and hard.
I dont think you could find a bigger scandal than king Davids sin and failure with bathsheba.
He repented.
Nonetheless he brought untold shame upon the house of God, and Gods testimony.
There are movies depicting this shame.
So,is all of Davids testimony trash?
Should 1 samuel be removed from the bible?
Should David be mocked,scoffed,and ostracized from the assembly?

Just something to consider,because the charismatic fallen are no worse than the millions of baptist fallen.
But no,in a sense,their sin and acts of fakery are more aggriegeous.

In a sense it is a no win. But my God has his business. A people and a world.
One of His specialties is making beauty out of ashes.

One man of God said "a destroyed testimony is a great place to start a ministry"
With God,things seem backwards to our finite limited minds

The problem is, when we stray from the Word, and insert anything we feel like under the banner of "well Jesus said He did other stuff, therefore what I THINK He may have done is acceptable for me to do". This is a form of idolatry, or everyone doing what is right in his own eyes.

I am familiar with Mr. Wigglesworth. (VERY cool name I must admit!)

Did you know he would literally try and beat the HELL out of someone? That is how he thought a demon possessed person would be free. Can you show me where Jesus or His Apostles used such a method on people? That is catholic church medieval stuff!

Also, some Churches have taken this nonsense so far as teach "Grave soaking", whereby people today lie on the graves of past prominent Christians like Mr. Wigglesworth to "soak up" a special anointing from them.

I merely point out your starting place.
Flawed.
You begin with an assumption.
I begin from my testimony.
The bible says " the righteous man judges all things,but he himself is judged of noone"
How do we judge rightly?
The Spirit of God in us with the Word of God authenticating.
It has to be authentic.
You have to ASSUME (painting yourself in a corner) that what we received came from the devil.
You have no other place to go with your ASSUMPTION.
That is your self imposed starting place.
You judge me to be of the devil. You HAVE to say that. That is PART OF your position.
Then you turn around and make a silly case that you are being judged.
Your position,your doctrine,is your starting place.
My starting place is what i recieved in 1977.
From where i sit,your judgement has zero merit.
You bat the wind. You have to twist Gods word to make it say what lines up with your instructors.
I have the high ground.
Nothing i say will convince you. It is a Spirit dynamic. Your teachers are mental.
I can not think of anyone in the bible(correct me if i am wrong) that refused the Baptism in the Holy Spirit by laying on of Hands.
Why? They wanted it.
I wanted it.
It is awesome.
Jesus said we needed it.
Why?
William booth said. "Power to walk the world in white,power to do what is right".
Jesus gave us the keys to the kingdom.
He gave us the great commission.
He gave us pentecost.
He gave us salvation.
He said "greater works than theses shall you do.

It is UNCANNY to me how you guys think the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is ceased.

UNCANNY.

Nah, If you loved me, You would converse with me, not about me, by making posts based on strawman or non proven arguments, but just what you think or what you have been told

Not ceased just simply defined . God is no longer bringing any new manners prophecy to include tongues.

Need more than that which is sealed till the end to confirm something. What??

You begin with an experience .Others begin with the one source of faith the scriptures .as it is written.Three times to make sure mankind understood that experience is the not validator of the unseen things of God.

The foundation of what is called sign gifts used to confirm something?

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.Mathew 16:10-11

Yet for all of that men as sign seekers still refuse to walk by faith .

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, Colossians 2 :8

There was an instance where he punched a man in the stomach and i believe the man got healed.
I think wigglesworth had over 90% success rate.
If you are against him,i think you are not going to listen to reason.
As far as i know he never beat on anyone.

We can do hyper paranoia on anything,as in fearing all baptists over the Yarborough extremes.

Ok,here is my post;

Its like this.
I can test fit their doctrine. I can try it on and see if it is biblical. First i have to assume what i got came from the devil.

Oh well,so much for trying on their unscriptural mess.
It would be like the mockers on the day of pentecost.
I would actually need to mock God himself.

It just hit me....the power behind their tireless mocking of precious believers and the priceless gift from heaven.
They are satanically driven.
You are engaging a spirit my friend.
Here is your post;
(Note i was addressing SOF)
"So your mocking others is ok?

I will not say this about all of you, Because you all are not like this, But many of you people are some of the worst hypocrites I have met."

NOW, my post was to stones about cessationists in general, NOT YOU EXCLUSIVELY.

See,thats not mocking in my opinion.
I am addressing the mocking of charismatics.
Video after video of tireless attacking.

Any pushback is somehow hippocritical and mocking?????

A little silly i would say

As far as i know he never beat on anyone. But there are MANY other sources you can find to testify of this man's diabolical methods:

We can do hyper paranoia on anything,as in fearing all baptists over the Yarborough extremes.
Well 1st off why wouldn't he have a 100% accuracy? I am not baptist, not sure why you think I am, although certainly I believe in some of their tenets. This from Costi Hinn. He is the nephew of Benny Hinn, one of the WORST of the bunch. Costi worked and accompanied his Uncle for yrs before he couldn't take the incalcuable damage his Uncle did to so many any longer.

Smith Wigglesworth (1859–1947)
Wigglesworth was one of the first to take faith healing to violent new heights. He is considered Pentecostal and Charismatic royalty these days, but that’s mostly because people are ignorant of his aberrant and unbiblical ministry tactics. For nearly two decades of my own life, Wigglesworth was one of my heroes because he represented audacious faith without any regard for the confines of religiosity and tradition. He was a reckless rebel and, just like Peter, was willing to jump over the side of the boat to walk on water and follow Jesus. That’s the kind of risk-taking that God always blesses, I often thought. That’s who I wanted to be!

Born before both Charles Parham and William Seymour, Wigglesworth outlived them both. Due to his long life span, he was perfectly positioned to almost single handedly impact the UK in the same way Parham and Seymour impacted America.

Wigglesworth focused the core of his ministry on signs and wonders like healing, miracles, and tongues. He taught that believers should refuse medical treatment for any illness. If not the first, he was one of the first in history to conduct his faith healing using methods other than laying on of hands—though he still touched them. According to Wigglesworth, sickness was demonic activity so he would physically attack the person as though they were the devil! Ignoring biblical teaching that spiritual warfare has nothing to do with flesh and blood (Eph. 6:12), Wigglesworth would punch, slap, or hit people in the place where they were afflicted. Wigglesworth explains his reason for assaulting sick people:

There are some times when you pray for the sick and you are apparently rough. But you are not dealing with a person, you are dealing with the satanic forces that are binding that person. Your heart is full of love and compassion to all, but you are moved to a holy anger as you see the place the devil has taken position in the body of the sick one, and you deal with his position with a real forcefulness.[3]
If people didn’t get healed, he was sure to place the blame on the sick. Wigglesworth taught that everyone should be able to control their own healing. He blamed those who couldn’t rid themselves of sickness on their own sin and lack of faith. He declared, “Is healing for all? It is for all who press right in and get their portions.”[4] To one sick woman he barked, “If you’ll get rid of your self-righteousness, God will do something for you. Drop the idea that you are so holy that God has got to afflict you. Sin is the cause of your sickness.”[5] He also states, “There is a close relationship between sin and sickness . . . but if you will obey God and repent of your sin and quit it, God will meet you, and neither your sickness nor your sin will remain.”[6] With no regard for biblical teaching on praying and trusting God’s will, God’s purposes through physical trials, and sanctification from unhealed sickness (Gal. 4:13-14; James 1:2-3), Wigglesworth confused and spiritually abused those who were sick and desperate by telling them they were the problem and he was the solution. He was especially aggressive toward anyone who approached him for prayer more than once. One poor man experienced public humiliation when Wigglesworth came to the altar and asked the faith healer to pray for him a second time because he wasn’t yet healed. Wigglesworth yelled, “Didn’t I pray for you last night? You are full of unbelief, get off this platform.”[7] His method of placing the blame on innocent people for his own failed healing attempts, and his violent antics for trying to heal people, are still practiced today by many false teachers. Later on in the book, we’ll get an up close look a modern day preacher who, like Wigglesworth, assaults people when praying for their healing.

People merely searching for hope were devastated when men like Wigglesworth humiliated them with his shameful practices. Still, countless modern day Pentecostal and Charismatic preachers ignore the hard facts of history and consider Wigglesworth a hero of the faith. Regardless of modern sentiment, Wigglesworth was a charlatan who exploited the sick by teaching falsely about salvation, sin, and sickness. His legacy does not represent true Christianity nor the character of biblical leadership.

Those who wish to faithfully represent Christ must arm themselves with truth. The dark history of abusive false teachers is not where Christians should ever find their truth, or claim their heritage. Look to God’s word for timeless guidance – it will never disappoint.

PennEd,

Yes, I watched the video in it's entirety and understood completely what I saw.

First, know that our physical bodies were created by God for God to dwell in them and be with us on the Earth. Remember, Paul asked if we knew that our body was the temple of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 King James Version (KJV)
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

What some fail to realize is that we get to choose who dwells in us - God or Demon(s). Something spiritual will dwell in us and manifest itself because we are spiritual houses. I choose the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to indwell me, nothing else!

The video shows in some, the manifestations of demons possessing an individual which, resembles a lot like the Holy Spirit manifesting as it enters a person. Even the Earth shakes, quakes and rolls to and fro at the presence of God in the physical realm. Thus, the Shakers, Quakers and Holy Rollers.

When God's Holy Spirit is overshadowing and entering a person, their physical body will react in an undeniable fashion - it's actually perfectly normal.

Our natural man doesn't understand the spiritual and it gets scared if God is manifesting spiritually or a demon is manifesting spiritually. It can't tell the difference. It lumps them together and throws them both out!

Go back and study with an open heart, how God filled Solomon's Temple with His Presence and Glory in 2 Chronicles 5, 6 & 7.

The Temple is prepared and cleansed;
The Ark of the Covenant is brought into the Holy of Holies by the priests;
The cloud fills the Temple making the priests unable to minister or enter (God takes possession);
Solomon prays and dedicates the Temple to the Lord and ask the Lord to dwell in it on the Earth;
God sends fire from heaven and consumes the sacrifice and fills the Temple with His Glory and promises to hear the prayers that are offered up from this temple and places His Name on it.

Eventually, the priests are of course able to enter and minister in the Temple but, a supernatural event happened when God entered and took possession of the Temple to dwell in.

Our body is prepared and cleansed;
Yeshua/Jesus is brought into our hearts;
He breathes on us, filling us with His cloud;
We respond with worship and thanksgiving;
He receives our worship and consumes us with His Fire - the baptism of the Holy Spirit and we are filled with His Glory.

John the Baptist said Yeshua/Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and Fire.

Be careful and know how to discern spiritual things whether they are truly of God or not. Only by the Holy Spirit - The Spirit of Truth indwelling us giving us power to discern and bearing witness to what is God and what is not.

By speaking foolishly about the Holy Spirit-posting a video claiming manifestations are just like the occult’s..... people that made that video are like the religious leaders that called Yeshua/Jesus Beelzubub.
I don't believe we can use old testament example of external Spirit experiences of those without the H. S. within, to those of us today who already have the H. S. within.

They witnessed through the gifts. Also were drunk in the Spirit. Happy hour.

Lol
They were not drunk in the Spirit, because there is no such thing. Ephesians 5:17-21 tells us what being filled with the Spirit looks like-not some 'Holy Ghost bartender' nonsense like the drunken spirit thing taught

I do believe God gives us all what we need. Some folks seem to need a more powerful touch, so they get it.

I've been looking, but I haven't found it! Which page is it on?
I found it, and I don't know why God would need to operate like that. There's nothing there that I've experienced, or would want to, but I've seen others doing similar things in Pentecostal churches. Interestingly enough, the Americans were even stranger and more intense than the kundalini folks. I know unsaved people who've witnessed such behavior, and they think such people are crazy, and I agree.

First let me say that you exhibit the fruits of the Holy Spirit all the time here. I personally feel blessed to read many of your posts filled with love for your brethren.

But I am glad you recognize that at least some of those people, and who knows how many others, are NOT operating under the influence of the H.S.
