Your understanding of the love of God is, at best, distorted.

I pray God blessyou with understanding and the thre eternal gifts, faith, hope and love, all adequately given you to please our Father. I pray this same for myself always, so it is not being arrogant nor lifted up in my own eyes to pray this for you......
Rev 3:19Those I love, I rebukeand discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.

Hebrews 12:6
For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son."

Proverbs 3:12
for the LORD disciplines those He loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

God says, a third He will refine by fire and God's rebuke is not tongue lashing but death through pestilences (diseases), famine, sword, beasts.

One day, you'll come to understand.

This was not meant to be a discussion about tongues but rather about the claims of the book: The Doctrine And Teaching Of Speaking With Tongues. What do you think of the great claims it makes. You can read the description page on Amazon.

What do you think? Is it possible that we are all wrong, and has someone come up with the truth, and what are we to do about it?
If it is a "new" revelation, chances are it is not worth bothering with.

It says that we are all wrong in our understanding of tongues, that tongues is neither a language given to the first disciple for them to spread the gospel nor is it a unknown prayer language to God; and not only that but the truth of tongues is only now to be revealed and that the whole Christian world is going to be in wonder when we come to know what tongues truly are, and that even our teachers are going to rethink all they understand of tongues because of the truth in the book!
It would be helpful to know what exactly the author of the book seems to think tongues are - can you perhaps elaborate on his/her conclusions?? The summary on Amazon does not address this.

That description (just a come on) is just a way to hype the book so that many have to purchase it to DISCOVER this new revelation. The author imagines that he is a prophet of some kind, so beware of false prophets.

"JaumeJ, post: 3696531, member: 94797"]Groups are charismatic by the definition of the word, charismatic. It is not an ideology, it is just one of the spiritual realities of believing Jesus, Yeshua.

Charismaticism is the ideology the certain denominations that have incorporated into the their believe system as oral traditions of men that what they call "sign gifts" as a way of confirming the Holy Spirit is working among them as outward evidence.

The scripture does not teach the idea of sign gifts as one of the two avenues of the father of lies ( the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes) in order to produce false pride. We walk by faith not after what the eyes see

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and "the pride of life", is not of the Father, but is of the world.

We walk by faith the unseen eternal and not after what the eyes see, the temporal .Remembering what we are in these bodies of death is not what we will be when we do receive the goal of our new faith our incorruptible bodies

1 Peter 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the "will of God" (unseen eternal)

No such thing as no denomination. The kingdom of does not come by observation ( the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes).

The smallest denomination is when two or three gather together under the name of God, as it is written.

A husband and wife make up a denomination/sect.

Hmm... well I have admit no one actually understand what tongues really is is a new one to me but honestly the gift of tongues is not one people can understand to begin with. I mean on pen and paper maybe but if one has actually spoken in tongues or been in the presence of it it's not something one can simply understand and I dodn't mean translation. I have only been in the presence of tongues one time and it was when a friend of mine from here lead a skype bible study session which I was a apart of he has had major studdering problem since an early age but as he was reading the study and the scriptures suddenly out of nowhere he was speaking words I didn't understand and whats more he was not stuttering at all. however it's what the words he spoke did to me that made know i was in the presence of tongues, I felt power surging through my body I could liken to fire or electricity but neither really fit it and for the first time I felt the glory of God like it was not just overflowing but as if it was enveloping me like it was being burned into my very being.

Regardless of what people think of tongues or if people believe such testimonies I can only say that anyone can fake tongues but the words of God are the only words or language that I have seen his power

Hey just send me six bucks and I'll set you straight. Tongues are described in the scriptures and there is no need for any great new revelation. Just believe what is taught and do not add to the scripture to support behaviors that may be popular in some circles.

We don't need a special language to communicate to the Holy Spirit that lives in our hearts! He is an all powerful God, i'm pretty comfortable just knowing Him. And if He chooses to communicate to me, He will make it clear and understandable.

Why is everyone always caught up in this battle? It has elements of mysticism that attracts people I suppose, but most of the passages in Scripture that testify to tongues are the miracle of God allowing everyone to clearly understand everyone's tongue, or language.

Has anyone heard of the book the Doctrine And Teaching Of Speaking With Tongues: Bible Concepts to Completely Define Explain and Understand What it Means to Speak in Tongues, **Amazon link removed**

What do you make of these claims! Has someone come up with an understanding that no one else has and can they prove it. I can see how tongues is not gibberish but how can they prove that tongues is not a language? If these things are true and if it can be proven, that tongues is neither a language that has ceased nor gibberish that continues today, this will be nothing short of phenomenal and much needed for our generation because of the ongoing and endless debates and confusion about tongues in the churches: benefiting I suppose, the most, those seeking this understanding; unless those who now speak in tongues can come out of their delusions; and I don’t see how they can not by a truth that shall cause the whole Christian world even our teachers to be in wonder! At least that is what it says in the description.

What do you think? Is it possible that we are all wrong, and has someone come up with the truth, and what are we to do about it?
Not much to go on, no reviews, only a few pages available to read, no bio, no other internet social media from the author?

I think I am a little skeptical about a new understanding.

Amen....Exactly a sign to the unbelieving rebellious Jew that insist the language of God is only of the Hebrew tongue. Therefore confirming they do not have the Holy Spirit , the Spirit of Christ .

What you have posted bears witness to much truth, but my description of the word, charismatic, as pertaining to the Body Members of Christ is just that, a description of one of the characteristics of the Spirit within the Body Members.

Yes, some have made a system of doctrine ab out this word and use it to identify their portion of the Body, just as have people used the words universal, baptist, method, witness, advent and so many more words converted to denominations.......I do not believe they are ideologies quite, but perhaps in the understanding of some they are. God bless you inYeshua, Jesus, amen.

Noose.........

Our Redeemer comes to each one of us in the unique manner only He knows is correct for the individual. Yes, He is the only way to the Father, but His ways are not our ways.

It is one thing to share with others how we understand the Word of God, and it is a complete horse of a different color to insist all do what YOU dictate.

You may cut and paste the entire Bible but this does not change the personal touch and guidance of our Fathe, Savior, Jesus Christ.

In most of your feigned responses to my posts you have become judge jury and executioner. You speak of love but your fountain is giving both brackish and sweet waters. Get rid of the bitterness and love the brethren.

All blessings in Jesus Christ and may God help you always, amen.

I'll tell you a secret. Humility doesn't mean that you include the phrase "...God bless you..." at the end of your speech, humility is of God and of matters of God. Telling people in a forum how God supposedly used you is the pinnacle of pride. How many times does God say, things done in secret He will reward openly? so let those that are healed say it in forums and let them mention your name and even if they did, i'll still dismiss them.

It is all a complexity of lies. The kingdom of God doesn't come with observable signs that one would say ".. see those people standing there minding their own business and God used them? those belong to the kingdom or these people that are healed or speak a new language? they belong to the kingdom..." Nope.
The kingdom of God suffers violence and the righteous of God perish with no one to help (seemingly), but this is how they are made victorious because they maintain their faith in God.

All gifts ceased in the 1st century, now the Holy spirit gives us understanding from within/ heals us from within without any laying of hands/gives us knowledge from within.
