Hello world.

Been a hectic past couple of weeks.
Hubs had some time off, so life got even busier than usual on my side of the screen........

to many pages to go back through and read, though while skimming I couldn't help but notice one BIG thing............
all those BEAUTIFUL donuts. Sad to think that somewhere, at sometime, someone actually probably ate all those beautiful works of art.

Hi GG,

All good here in sunny SA. There was a bit of drama last week when people went on a looting spree. Apparently they never felt so free... shame... the world is a confusing place at the moment.

I hope you and your family are doing well?

I heard from somebody that the US is considering to ban the vaccine. Is it false news or actually happening?

I may have been wrong... but I know I was closer to 700 than 600

Didn't the old friends' list transfer over to followers/following? Heh, I remember looking at my friends list and seeing so many of them banned or guests, etc, but I never wanted to delete them because it helped me remember people that were no longer here.
Yes, the friends list transferred over and became followers/following. This is different in the aspect that for getting a friend you had to extend/accept a request. I had a few banned friends too. Always hated to see someone banned unless they were a complete jerk. I'm not sure of the exact rep power but yours was astronomical.

I have another question for when people wake up :sleep::sleep::sleep:

When we get a new heaven and a new earth and things go back to what they originally were supposed to be before the fall, will there be marriage again??
Here is the thing about marriage as I understand it. Marriage is a contract between God and the consenting parties of a man and a woman and is valid until the death of one of the spouses. In heaven there will be no more death so therefore there will be no more marriage.

However, that does not mean that there will not be that type of relationship, only that it will be known as something other than marriage.

It says in the book of Isaiah that houses will be built and gardens planted. Speaking as a man, I sure am not going to build a house and plant a garden if I am the only one living there.

Before the fall there was Adam and Eve. They were naked and not ashamed. I believe that there will be enduring male / female relationships and children will be created.

Our beloved pets will be there with us also.

New heaven and new earth.

Morning Tabin,

lol I think he is testing the wind.
Just hit lunch here. I am wishing I could get my hair cut, it is too too long. Three times now I have wanted to get it cut but bang Lockdown so it now half way down my back. Men have it so much easier, just a bunch of shears and they are done.
Anyway hope you have a good sleep (y):coffee:
Have you heard of the Crea Clip? This ad is really cheesy, but it shows what you can do with it. I heard it's great for women's DIY haircuts.

Hi Gandy.

We are well.

How is your family? Your wife has been on my mind since you shared about your sons friends mom passing (whom you said was a good friend of your wife). How is everyone?

As far as

I heard from somebody that the US is considering to ban the vaccine. Is it false news or actually happening?
that's news to me. But then again who knows.......
What's REALLY real anymore?
The only answer I know for that question is Jesus.

Glad you are ok, Gandy. I was wondering since you are in SA. That bit about the US banning the vaccine is false. Biden actually said something about sending out teams to people's homes to convince everyone to get vaccinated.

Are these reps like the like, agree, happy etc emoji's?
They didn't have all the emoji's before. I think it was maybe a like and dislike option. The system keep track of your likes and they were considered good, as well.

The rep. was separate from the likes. It was a reputation point system. People could rep. you and it would give you reputation points. The more points you had meant the better you reputation on CC.

Tourist and Magenta having a 600 to 700 Rep. power meant they probably had some of the highest reputation power on CC. One rep. from them would add 6 to 7 points to some one's rep. points.
On the older platform, when your avatar and name displayed to the left of every post (same as now), there was also other information displayed with/under it. Your name was in blue or pink text depending on your gender. A flag was shown displaying your country of origin (I think there was an option to turn that off? Or perhaps if you did not have a country of origin selected, it simply did not show a flag). The date you joined was displayed (I think)... possibly along with the number of your posts to date you had made. There was a green bar which I do not understand the purpose of. Somewhere in your personal settings it gave you the option of turning off your reputation points. This did not do what I expected it to LOL, for your reputation count was displayed there with everything else under your avatar, and turning off that option in settings simply put the green bar at its lowest point and did not hide your actual reputation number, which was displayed with all the other info. I do not recall if there was a record of likes such as there is now, but it would somehow show on your post if someone liked it. Reputation could be given anonymously, or with a private comment. Some people abused that also, by leaving abusive comments anonymously. This did not happen to me, but it did happen to @seoulsearch

I wonder if I have any images of the old layout. If I did, they would be on my other laptop, which I do not have time to check for right now as I must prepare to go out for wound care, after which I am planning to see my daughter, whose birthday is this week :)

Good morning all and nice to see you again Gandy!

Catch yas later :)

Thank you for responding and filling us in :):D:)

My apologies for my tardy reply

Wow, I did not know you did leather arts!

And I was also unaware that there was a protocol in place using objects to
denote how close one is comfortable getting to others while covid is ongoing

I have been absent a bit here and there also but can't seem to stay away long :giggle::D:giggle:
I'm a weirdo who does a LOT of various things. I have the closets full of my various passions tools and materials.

And yeah...the office protocol with wristbands is reasonable.
I'm sure that you have seen the battles over vaccines, virus validity, and all the conspiracy theories.... well the workplaces don't care or want time wasted discussing these things or the animosity which comes with...they want productivity.

So they came up with the three wristbands...
Red...no contact within 6 feet and preferably masked.
Yellow...limited contact within 6 feet but no physical contact and no mask requirement.
Green....well you can probably get away with kissing in the closet but that wouldn't be business professional either.

So I made my wife 2 bands...she can wear the one she wishes. Red and yellow.... mostly just to practice my leather skills. But I added snaps and also did some cased lettering on them which I then painted with some leather acrylic paint. (Grooves pressed into the leather is called casing.... oftentimes used to create pictures)
