Sounds serene. The fresh snow on the mountains is s special touch from God. He set the boundary for the ocean waves too. Of course , you already know this. :)
Now I live in Nashville for a reason...it's warmer here than up north. I lived there for years. Got frostbit too many times to count...I don't like the cold anymore.

Where I'm not a fan of bugs...the summer time in cold regions have an "irrational exuberance" of them in the summer.

The only bugs I like are the synchronous Fireflies...and in the smokies they rock! The Lottery for which ought to be coming up soon. (Just a reminder)
Anyone who has been knows exactly of what I speak.

Thank you for the reminder :) It is interesting how people say the continents have shifted over time. It must have been either some cataclysmic event, or a very long period of time. I wonder if they are still moving? I do understand that much of what people say in regard to topics like this is speculation, and interesting too how much stock people put into such speculations. I look at a lot of many of them as outside issues. I understand the flat earthers believe such things show how much people are deceived to believe we inhabit a spherical planet, and am always so thankful for people like @posthuman who knows his math and sciences well enough to really give them a run for their money, as the saying goes :D

Oh, it is much toastier in here now with my windows closed (y):giggle:

Much better :)
Toasty and cozy works for my tired old bones. :)

That "cataclysmic event" would be the global flood of Noah's day.

Dr. Walt Brown is known for his "Hydroplate Theory" which aligns itself with the Biblical account of the flood.

If you'd like a little information about the same, then this brief video might be of interest to you:

If you have a DVD player, then I'd also personally recommend the following DVD by Mike Snavely (I've spoken to him before) called "The Horror of the Flood" which includes Walt Brown's "Hydroplate Theory" at the end of it. The video deals with the Biblical account of Noah's flood in various ways.

You can either purchase the DVD or watch a preview of it here (you need to scroll down a little after following the link to watch the preview) if you're interested:

Since we've started homeschooling subjects (like science) that I never really understood (or enjoyed mostly because of lack of understanding ) have become things I have no choice but to learn and face.
Can't explain all this scientific slogan fancy stuff like some users round here can......
but definately more interested now than when I was a kiddo.
I'm so glad that so many resources are available now pointing science back to Creator God.
Makes it fun and interesting.
I love finding things like airplanes and all the techy stuff that makes them work and fly and comparing it to
"HEY! God thought of this first when He created xyz in nature".
or because x happened God did this........
and as a result of this we now have y (thinking flood events/results)

You might be interested in some of the videos by Mike Snavely that I recently mentioned.

I watched them all several times with my own children.

Currently, I don't have any of them because I used to lend them out to people all of the time, and I never got them back from whoever I lent them to last.

He does have a seven tape series that he sells at a discounted rate. I've seen them all, and they're quite good. My only complaint is that he recently remade the first video in the set in more of a documentary style, and, quite frankly, I don't like it at all. The original format was so much better. He's eventually going to remake all of them, so if you are interested in any of them, then I would recommend getting the originals while they're still available.

Here's the link:

https://www.missionimperative.org/store/c2/DVDs.html

He also has a bunch of "Ranger Mike" videos that are more geared for little children. I've never seen any of those, but I can vouch for the other videos that they're Biblically sound and good.

Actually I'm ready to leave...it's getting crowded and not the same as it used to be.
I need space... don't get me wrong...I like the city sometimes and the things I can get in the cities. But I've gotten accustomed to the country life too.

Oh...I almost forgot.
My wife is having to go back to the office to work. I'll be heading back to the construction sites too. I'll give up my day trading on the stock market...but with the stake I have to work with and the impending crash coming it's not going to generate enough cash to do the things I want to do. (I don't gamble...I make reasoned trades) the crash might make me enough money...but...after the crash I'll have plenty of time to play in the market market.

But in the meantime...my wife's car has sat in it's place for over a year. I boosted it off to run it to the grocery store. And put in some fresh gas. But...it's going to need some work. The idle is really high. The hazard light module needs replaced so the turn signals work, struts are going bad too...and I don't know what all else besides an air filter and an oil change. Driver's window don't work either.

Otherwise it's not really a bad car. LOL.

Then on top of this....

She and I both need clothes to re-enter the world. We have both gotten fat and out of shape. We are working on getting back in shape...but that still doesn't fix the rags we have for clothes. First world problems eh?

Welll....

everyone talking about how “tall” they are...
and What order in the alphabet they are in...

lemme help y’all out real quick.

”short stack” “shortie” “lil’bit” “little Laura”(yes, that’s my real Name, Laura) “small person” annnnnd “minion” 😏 I’ve literally heard it all. and I stand as tall as I possibly can at 5’1 1/2. And with the last name as “B”.. I wasn’t too far in the back, but at least everyone could see above My head is they sat behind me. If anything... I would be the one who couldn’t see around anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️
You know, being short and ginger makes folks think I’m a hot tempered, fit pitchin’ lemming 😂, and yes for sure there’s some truth to it lol.

A friend of mine gave me the name Magenta many many moons ago because
I wear so much purple (almost exclusively, really :)). I worked with her for 17
years before she passed in early 2000, and she also twelve stepped me.
Some of you know I used to work in a photo lab, and have my whole adult life :D
Magenta is the proper word we use not for purple, but the opposite of green :)
There is no purple LOL, and as a matter of fact, magenta does not exist either
:giggle:

I found the video to be fascinating.

i love it

swordfighting is a hobby of mine -- it's Biblical ;)

if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one
(Luke 22:36)
and a sword isn't much use if we're not able and ready to wield it
Are you familiar with proper ear-cutting-offing technique?:):coffee:
