I was talking about bodily sleep. I find the verse very comforting for my chronic insomnia. P.S. Can't say I believe in some coma state after death either :

==========================================================
SW,
hub and I are so sorry that you are not able to sleep well, as we know that this can effect your whole daily life,
and one's performance/behavior...
I personally have had this affect my life, because of pain and discomfort - but, after many years of trials and errors
with prescription 'drugs' and intense, nutritional therapy, I, we, have found our individual recipes for 'SLEEP'!!!
just this one share concerning HUB, He cannot sleep well IF he partakes of SALTY after Noon...
for myself, this doesn't bother me, BUT I cannot partake of 'sweets' or caffeine' after about (9:00am), it totally
speeds up my heart and puts my nerves on edge... our Lord has been guiding us in this direction, and in every
other aspect of our journey thus far...
ECC. 9:5.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward;
for the memory of them is forgotten.
PS. 115:17.
The dead praise not The LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
PS. 6:5.
For in death there is no remembrance of You: in the grave who shall give You thanks?
11PETER 3:4.
And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue
as they were from the beginning of the creation.
