You also don't have to mow the pretty colored gravel instead of a lawn too...:)...and you only have to water once every few months...

But I was determined to have grass, lol. Plus, I have an African Sumac tree at the front, which sheds worse than a cat. It drops leaves and seeds everywhere, so would be impossible to keep tidy with gravel.

My favorite time of year is usually end of fall/winter when the grass looks like Dan's :)

Psalms 63:1 God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers. As well as to the father of all who is in Heaven. Glory and praise his holy name.

I wonder what God thinks of some of the weird belief some of the "Christians" who appear on here have
God keeps a record of all our assertions as to what we believe and if we are really Christian it will all come out at the judgment seat of Christ. If we are not really Christian then it will all come out at the Great White Throne Judgement. At any rate, no one in here or anywhere else will ever get away with telling and promoting something that is not true, that is why I try to warn folks to be very careful before you promote an idea and first make sure that it is true.

good morning all!
we got home on the 14th, everyone is doing good.
Do you guys think it would be rude to ask friends to put a pause on visiting for 2 weeks? I'm having a hard time healing from labor and Little Bean is having a hard time eating as often as he should. I love them and I know they are excited about Bean, but I don't feel up to having company for a while.
Be as honest with them as you were with us and I see no problem.

Up until just a little bit ago I was having a bad day.

I woke up from a bad dream where I was having to solve a problem and couldn't let it go even semi awake. Then tried to print a shipping label from Ebay and it wouldn't let me forcing me to call Ebay for assistance and they tell me there was an update to the label system and everyone is having problems, but they did send me a label to be able to print through email.

Tried playing a few games on the computer and was loosing every one of them which then was making me angry at the computer.... Just felt miserable and angry at the way the day was going.

So I took a moment to reflect and thought I need to read the Bible and invite God into my day that it was Father's day and I had neglected my Father in Heaven. So I grabbed the Bible and said a prayer asking for the Holy Spirit to guide in my reading and this is where I landed.

Please take the time to read as it is Father's Day and we all could benefit from this reading.

Psalm 103New Living Translation (NLT)

Psalm 103

A psalm of David.

[SUP]1 [/SUP]Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

[SUP]6 [/SUP]The Lord gives righteousness
and justice to all who are treated unfairly.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]He revealed his character to Moses
and his deeds to the people of Israel.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

(O.K. I started crying here)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

(Now I'm really crying)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.

(He is reminding me He has forgiven and that I am safe with Him)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

(Now I'm thinking God is comforting me and it is Father's day and He is telling me I am His child - yes, the water works are still going)

[SUP]14 [/SUP]For he knows how weak we are;
he remembers we are only dust.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Our days on earth are like grass;
like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]The wind blows, and we are gone—
as though we had never been here.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children

[SUP]18 [/SUP] of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments!

(He's telling me He really loves me)

[SUP]19 [/SUP]The Lord has made the heavens his throne;
from there he rules over everything.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]Praise the Lord, you angels,
you mighty ones who carry out his plans,
listening for each of his commands.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]Yes, praise the Lord, you armies of angels
who serve him and do his will!

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Praise the Lord, everything he has created,
everything in all his kingdom.

Let all that I am praise the Lord.

Tourist will be the first to tell you that I am not a crier but I did that today. God is so compassionate and merciful and forgiving. Thanks Dad I really needed that today. Oh and by the way the Bible I read it out of had a BIG LETTERING of the word FORGIVEN on the side of the page - I needed to be reminded of that too.

So Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there - especially to you Dad...in heaven.

WOW, JesusLives,

what a great 'reminder' that we should never let certain events, circumstances 'control-us',
for in the end, they are of no consequence..,
but our relationship with God The Father and Jesus Christ our Lord is always of great consequence...

ty you sweetheart, you made my heart rejoice along with happy tears of joy...

There are many times I wonder if I were to disappear will anyone notice. My family would obviously but would everyone else? A question I always pondered for a long time.
