It was God who blinded their eyes.

I believe that they must accept Christ to be saved. They were saved in sleep before Bethlehem through a symbol of Christ, now they have simply rejected Christ and only a remnant are saved in Christ today.

But if we believe that, we must believe all scripture, and scripture tells us we have earthly rewards for following the Lord. In as much as they use scripture to plan their days, there us a natural outcome from those things they follow.

What is eternal about the old covenant tells us this. There is absolutely no scripture saying that works resulted in salvation in the old covenant, but it does say works resulted in good for man. The Jews try to live that. It is not saving them, for works do not save, but they are using the ways of the Lord to achieve blessings.

We all know Jesus is God. The question is about the blessings polls say the Jews have. The fact the Jesus is God is true, but what has that truth to do with the question?

One study is called the Pew Forum’s study of the American religious landscape. Here is some of their findings:

If you break down Pew’s Jewish numbers, you find that 55 percent of Reform Jews make over $100,000 a year–three times the national figure of 19 percent in America.

Other revelations are that 51 percent of Jews are 50 and older. The national average is 41 percent. Though mainline Protestants are also older in the same proportion: 51 percent

Now education. The national average for college or postgraduate education is 27 percent. Among Jews it is 59 percent. And as for mainline Protestants, 34 percent.

Most Jews live under the old covenant, and many things in that covenant are obsolete. However, it was written by our eternal God who speaks with eternal truths that never become obsolete. Cutting foreskin is obsolete, but that we are rewarded in this life for obedience is not. Check out the fruits of the spirit. The old covenant never, with its eternal truths, promised salvation for obedience. It was an eternal truth that bloodshed and faith were required for forgiveness of sin.

A major factor in Jewish life is based on how the Lord tells us to bring up children. The orthodox Jews begin memory work very early in a child’s life. We teach nursery rhymes, they teach scripture. It has been proven that the memory of a child begins much earlier than most people believe it does.

We are so blessed that we know Christ, it is so much greater than their blessings. They have the blindness God gave them to understanding the Messiah. That does not mean we must not look at the blessings they have from the Lord and wonder about them.

It is part of their culture.

That's funny because I had her dad and we called him Polar. He's since passed but I have her. She looks like an artic fox. She has the tail and and double coat, which is fun when she sheds. We love her though. They are known as American Eskimo dogs.

Yes, that's part of the sleep. But the Bible is clear they will come out of that sleep and recognize their true Messiah, and they will morn. When the anti-Christ betrays them they will learn the truth. And then they will be saved.

I just think Jews they have a different attitude on money than Christians; this is expected since material wealth/riches is viewed differently in the OT and NT. Jews have a more positive view on material wealth (God blessed the patriarchs with material wealth, land etc.), whereas in the NT money can also be associated with evil (rich people in the NT are viewed negatively, money being the master of this world, etc.). Jesus also basically said that money/material wealth is meaningless. The different attitude on money, plus the fact that Jews value education and are highly educated, work in high paid professions, work in urban areas, take Jewish inheritance laws seriously, etc. contribute to the fact they are more wealthy.

I do think God blessed the Jews by giving them Israel, but as to why an individual Jew is smart or wealthy is more due to his/her own personal ambition/doing. I don't think there is anything mysterious as to why an individual Jew is smart or wealthy.

I suppose it could also be a survival mechanism.
Outside the Pol Pots, society tends to esteem and value certain people more highly.
Doctors obviously are slightly rarified, legal systems are the bedrock of society.
Within these professions one perhaps has a higher immunity to persecution, based on a perceived social value.

I can see your logic. But I am not sure we are saved through intelligence, more through grace.
In the Body of Christ everyone has their place, like in life -
One person is super smart with wiring a house, another person eats legal code for breakfast.
I suppose the Jews are the shadow of the Body of Christ - reminding us that we are all subject to the sun.

I read posts about judgments of the Jews, and that they reject Christ, but so far there is no word at all about why God is blessing them. I think even though they are not saved, the natural way of the Lord is that there is a reflection in this life of our acts. Love and good follows, hate and hate follows. Give to others and there are good fruits, steal from others and you go to jail. No one is responding to that thought.

It in opposition to the word brought out so often that works won't save, and the post goes on to speak against works. Works won't save, only faith in Christ the Jews lack. But their culture promotes works. Works bring rewards.
