That all depends on where you live, In most of civilised countries
homosexuality is not a criminal law so if you don't break a criminal
law; no jail. It should never become criminalised since science shows
that homosexuality is not a choice but a trait people are born with.
So they live with what they are born with. The question would become
do you jail: those with down syndrome, aspergers or any variety of trait
that people were born with. In biblical times all of those were regarded
as being demonised or insane. Actually some people are born with dual
male/female organs and again any of a number of malfunctions of birth.
So what do you say? Jail them all. I believe those who would jail anyone
should look into themselves first and clean their own house. It is easy to
notice everyone else bad breath but never your own. I am not gay, never
was and never will be. I just believe this is what Christ would say.

Science has yet to show this with regards to homosexuality.

The ability to choose is not "free will" as defined originally by the Greeks.

So Morrell's whole argument of juxtaposing free will against Calvin's total inability, is only using more error.

Gnosticism is not nearly as clear cut as one would think.
I guess I don't follow the Greek definition of free will then. Whatever you want to call it, I'm talking about the ability to choose.

I am good with that, many people talk about free will here but it is a much bigger concept far more focussed on absolute freedom than the ability to choose.:)

That "bigger" concept is the secular world view that doesn't know GOD.

Of course homosexuals should not be put in jail. In that case the jail would be over run. There are a lot of gay people in this world.

You do know that the concept of free will, which is indeed a concept was birthed in ancient Greek philosophy.
LOL! The Scriptures DON'T agree with you!

Man has ALWAYS had free will, that's what makes him "man." Isaiah 53v6, Ezek chapter 18, Matt 23v37-39, Rom 1v18-32, 3v12 and so forth!

Homosexuality is not a crime it's a sin.

Homosexuality is it's own prison for those deceived by the father of lies.....and lest they seek the Lord with all their heart and repent, something much worse comes for them
May I suggest it’s time you caught up with the last few centuries of biblical studies starting with John Shelby Spong’s ‘The Sins of Scripture: Exposinging the Bibles Texts of Hate to Reveal the God of Love’ after which you may wish to meditate upon 2nd Thessalonians Ch2.V11 with or without reference to it’s context.

The question must be asked?
Should adulterers be put in jail?
Should people who have sex outside of marriage, say teenagers, be put in jail?
No, the question is should (any?) church be given the power to make and enforce such decisions?

Biblical quotations or not, the concept of free will is meaningless if we accept God’s omniscience. On the other hand you want to question the Almighty's morality given he supposedly granted our species free will fully knowing where it would lead. And please, let’s not wander aimlessly down the path of asserting ‘He moves in mysterious ways’ or any other pointless form of biblical apologetics.

Can we pause for a moment and ponder if we know anything at all about Jesus’s sexuality?

We know for a fact he wasn't a homosexual. God love the sinner, but hate the sin. when you intentionally sin you tie Gods hands. He is without spot or wrinkle. All he can do is push the sinner away who is continually sinning. If a homosexual is actively sleeping with the same sex when they die. They will be separated for God for eternity.

I did not say that homosexuals should be killed like most Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches think
It may be of interest to know the Independent Fundamentalist Baptists Churches indluged in ‘cure by prayer’ for homosexuals and had a consequently very high suicide rate in those they ‘cured’. Oh yeh, I forgot, it wasn’t that the ‘cure’ failed is was due to Satan’s intervention.
