Whether it be Vineyard, Four C's, Pentecostal, United, Christian Reformed, or whatever, no matter where I led worship, everyone recognized God's presence. Because it was God.
I see what goes on today, I'm not blind. If I had ever led worship, and when people clapped, if I thought for a minute it was directed at me, I would've stopped the service and given the people a stern lecture! God alone is worthy to be worshipped and revered!
Oblio, I wish you could hear yourself.

Yes I do.
It is about leading the church in hymns that have a message, not loud upbeat music that gets people to waving their hands and dancing to the band.
That is not worship in my book. That is entertainment.

U r so right.
We have a large new new age religion church nearby and as we pass it on Sunday morning...it is about 500 yards from the road....the thundering music makes the car windows vibrate. ...it is hard rock. LOL

Soon we expect..... .....rap...... will be the sound.

Again, personal preference regarding style of music is irrelevant in this discussion, as are complaints about volume. As for rap, what if the rapper is quoting Scripture verbatim? Is it still wrong? Get your head out of your stubborn tradition.
