These six things doth the LORD hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16‭-‬19 KJV


Biblically It most likely stems from this and someone deemed them the seven deadly sins fornthier program or ministerial purposes like summing them up

Another possibility is a previous post on this thread regarding Catholicism. AA is where I heard about the 7 deadlies and AA is rooted in a movement which originated in Great Britain, known as the Oxford Movement, which according to Wiki, is AKA, tractarianism, and also an ecumenical effort between RCC and Anglican Church. Yes that’s also a good Possibility where the “ cardinal “ sins come from biblically it seems to be rooted in scripture
