Red moon

This red moon and blood moon is a lot of spiritualistic hooey.

God says the moon will turn to blood and the sun will refuse to give its light.

If God says it, it will look like blood, not what we in my day always called a harvest moon.

Sometimes due to pollution the moon will also look orange or brownish. I have seen the mooon in many shades, but never has it looked like blood…..when it does, ALL will recognize it..

Hooey I say, hooey.

The main idea of the verse you used is to describe God's purpose for these lights, according to His command. They were to separate day from night, as well as to serve as signs of days, years, and "seasons," which in this context refers to sacred times.

Clearer in the amplified version, "Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; "

the passage does not say "signs of days" it says for signs, and for days.

if signs means days, seasons and years then lets compare that to another passage about signs.

Luke 21 25
25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,

so when the Son of man returns there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars that will be no different than any other day, season and year?
that makes little sense to me.

As God is the Creator of ALL, and in Scripture it says He created NO UNCLEAN thing, and as He is the Creator of all, and He created these celestial events....................hmm

Ah, we had a Red Blood Moon last week. It happens often enough. Here in the US the next one will be in 2022.
