There's no "Fence" at all - only the imaginary one you've built out of your conept of "Eschatology" (which is only a religious word for "Rank Speculation").
No, eschatology is the study of eschatos/last things. Which last things include the End Times/End of the Age, and the end of the present heavens and earth, and death. Your flippant and disrespectful remark notwithstanding.
The study of any biblical topic should never be called "Rank Speculation."

Except when it is!!! There are mor "authoritative versions" of eschatological paradigms than Carter's has liver pills.

Personally my favorite is the Biblical PROOF that the rapture will occur during the "Feast of Trumpets" in 1988. 88 reasons, in fact!!! I can hardly wait!!!

Has anybody done any preparation?? do you think it's necessary??
I have thought about it a hell of a lot. and I have done some preparation for the war. You know, after the big war things get expensive. The supermarket shelves become empty because people start to panic. So I've done some preparation for that. Um, the power going off. I've done some preparation for that. But nothing regarding the tribulation. The last three and a half years. But I'm going to do something.

What about anybody else? have they thought about it, or done something? love to know.
"Keep myself filled with the Holy Spirit". Remember the five foolish virgins. And "pray that I fall not into temptation". Remember the garden.of Gethsemane. And "do not be anxious about what I will eat, drink, wear or say. For the Lord knows I have need of these things and it is His good pleasure to give me the kingdom"; and the kingdom is always within reach, "near at hand" for "in Him we live and move and have our being".
