This source claims the Bishops/Church Fathers were forced to sign the decree at Nicea.

Encyclopedia Britannica 1968

"The Council of Nicaea met on May 20, 325. Constantine himself presiding, actively guiding the discussion, and personally proposed the crucial formula expressing the relation of Christ to God in the creed issued by the council 'of one substance with the father.' Over-awed by the emperor, the bishops, with two exceptions only, signed the creed, many of them against their inclination. Constantine regarded the decision of Nicaea as divinely inspired. As long as he lived no one dared openly to challenge the creed of Nicaea."

Like I have claimed, I absolutely believe in God the Father, the WORD, and the WISDOM!

I am just asking if the Early Church did not believe as Modern Day believes, is it because of different mistranslations?

And if we have different mistranslations, could we be wrong today?

neither one of us, even before we met were quarrelsome type people -
quite the contrary...
we were before and now after having the same basic-non-quarrelsome personalities...
which 'many on this SITE have come to perceive...
we know for sure that this is an individual 'choice' of either being kind or being contentious...
there is NO GRAY area when you are put before the Judgment Seat of Christ...
like it is written:
1PETER 3:9.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are
thereunto called, that you should inherit a Blessing.

I have no problem getting alone with those who agree with me.
I have no problem getting alone with those who disagree with me but are respectful in doing so.
Now when a person shows no respect, is full of pride and superiority, judging me as less intelligent, less spiritual, and having studied less, Yea, I will become very quarrelsome with that person.

HAHAHA good question. The way he basically was ignoring my post by continuing to post the same thing he was trying to claim did make me hesitate and wonder. But the bottom line is simple. No doubt the Church Fathers are in Heaven this very moment. And we ourselves are trying to achieve that accomplishment. It's rather clear their version of the Gospel and our version are not remotely close.

My point is though, if they are already in Heaven, which is our GOAL. It makes perfect sense to adopt their Doctrine for ourselves.

Now, does that mean we have to abandon our current Doctrine, maybe so. But if we do and accept theirs, what is the bottom line most importance? We, like them, end up in Heaven. And to me, that is what I want more than anything else!
