Our Lord gave us 2 Commandments. According to him there is no greater commandments than these 2 commandments. What is the 1st Commandment?

Just a little correction here.

You said, "My grace is sufficient for me".

The actual verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9

My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness...”

Leave out the inverted commas next time.

Good post and that is one powerful verse you alluded to.
Thank you, as the truth becomes personal to the kids, accepted, forgiven and sealed (Eph 1:6,7,13) in God Father through Son's done work for us all to stand in belief and see over time here on earth in many mistakes first, as I know I have made, thanking Father for the forgiveness given, then asked how to stop?
Then saw "I" can't, not of me, the first born me. Only the new me can and is, and still in process, learning to live in the present given me period. Catch that "Present" live in the Present, Past gone, future not yet here, but in a split second. I see put behind me, what is behind me, as fast as I might, can do it again, what??????????????????????? But "I" got to quit!
Yes, and no, under Law no one can quit, or in the liberty of the Law, where one takes it for granted and misuses it or appreciates it so deep, one stops without pride! in trust to God alone
"I" personalize, in thanksgiving and praise with all sin taken away (John 1:29, John 19:30) by as far as the east is from the west in belief trust to God Father of risen Son, it is done, finished completed by Son for everyone to believe or not.
(Psalm 100:4, 103:12)
By this Father fills his children, as in (Ezekiel 36:26) Be given and see new, it is not the people doing the work, it is God doing it through the people as started on Pentecost. The Disciples spoke, yet it was not them speaking it was God Father through them, at least to me I am presently seeing. this amazing grace deeper and deeper and deeper, it floors me, I bet you too

What I have noticed with Jesus answer on question, which is the first commandment of all?
Then Jesus said the first of all the commandment is HEAR, O ISRAEL; THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD.

It seems like not a commandment but since Jesus said The First of All The Commandment is.
The First commandment then is HEAR, O ISRAEL; THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD.

The completion of the first commandment was also expressed by God in the Old Testament:
DEUTORONOMY6:4-5
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
5
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might

When the Lord Jesus answered the question of the scribe.
The first commandment is to know God's first before loving him.

MARK 12:29-31

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
The first commandment was, "Let there be light". (GN 1:3)

The first commandment to humanity was, "Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it." (GN 1:28)

The first commandment to A&E was, "Put some clothes on!"

How can anyone know God first before loving God. That says I must know you, before I can love you, really?
Even the unbelievers of God only love those that love them back!
I am perplexed. God loves me, I see this in the death, burial and now by the resurrection this love beyond measure, that Father has shared with me and all others as well 1 John 2:1-2, verse 12, 2 Cor 5:17-20 Once are given this truth in love from God through Son, how can one not love as God already loves us all?
I beleive God, thus received truth from God. God simply does just love us all, at least me thanks

How can you love someone you do not know? An interesting thing I have learned lately is that there are
people who deny that knowing God personally is a central aspect of salvation. Some of them claim that
God is unfair to reveal Himself personally to anyone even though He is fulfilling promises He made in
Scripture by doing so; by knowing God personally
we can know we are in possession of eternal life.

John 17:2-3~ You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent.:)

Exactly, All re called, few choose to believe, and see new in that, especially through any adversities. I know that personally after dying in 2012, 7 times in surgery per the Doctors back then. I had Foreigners Gangrene, a urinary tract infection, and it became Gangrene. It went through my entire body. The Doctors saved me (Jeremy Meyers) a urinary tract infection expert. He was in charge of all those Doctors and God through him saved me.
Now the key I now see is:
I was willing to die, it mattered not to me whether I lived or died, I stood in trust to God, even though I know I deserve death, not ever been perfect and never can be of me, ever perfect, all I ever had to do is sin at least once, and have as well as again too.
  1. Mark 10:27
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

(the above is done by the resurrection from Father for us in Son to us all those who will believe, at least me)
  2. Luke 17:1
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
(The above is about those that choose willingly to not believe is what I see)
  3. Hebrews 6:4
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

I have been enlightened and see there is no further forgiveness to ever get provided other than what Son has provided on that cross, that I now respond to in thanksgiving and praise and yet still have sinned again just like all others also. I see said the blind me, unto the other one who was deaf and picked up the hammer and saw
I was blind but now I see is deeper, wider and higher that I ever knew before that occurrence in 2012. Amazing Grace does not come close, to me anyway.

And I got amputated, physically as well inside and out. I accept this now, not at first, yet now do. This was not easy and is not easy, yet worth it to me to not deny God at all for me at least. As in the book of Job, I see Job never deny God doing through his adversities too.
