It's true punishment creates fear, but God commanded us to fear and respect him but we decided to ignore the spiritual being we are not even seeing. The truth is no one knows his actual plans for punishing people but I don't think its out of hatred. Bible says God disciplines those he loves.

Here is what EG is teaching, though he will deny it, but it is true; He is saying by the comment you quoted that man is not lost until he rejects Christ (punished for what he didn't do). Um, sorry (not really!) man is already lost and being punished for what he has done.

If EG's nonsense were true (and it's not, it's his false gospel) then stop preaching, the lost aren't lost, they won't be punished for what they have done, they are safe and on their way to heaven in spite of the fact they are already condemned, John 3:17 and under wrath, Ephesians 2:3.

EG says man isn't punished for what he has done, listen up folks, EG is telling you his gospel which is contrary to Scripture!

Yes, yes, they're only *sniff* *sniff* going to be punished for what they didn't do which is pure emotionalsim, NOT the Gospel. (which when you think about all this, it makes his false gospel a works gospel because if they do xxxxxxxxx they'll be saved).
I would like to Thank DC Controversial for enlightening me to this post.

A. I have this guy on ignore He is a proud person who never wants to discuss anything, all he knows is to attack people who disagrees with him.

B. I never said they were not lost, so this person is also a liar, trying to twist my words be whatever reason, i could care less
C. I never said they were safe and on their way to heaven nor did i even remotely make it seem i did (i said they were hell bound because of unbelief, kinda hard to be headed to heaven when your hell found) (should i report this post for slander, what do people think?)
D. Its funny, he calls me preaching emotionalism, when his emotions against me is filled with hate which is why he had to lie about what i said to even respond to begin with.

E. As for the rest of his comments,

1. The penalty of sin is death. Mankind was BORN dead. Meaning that all men and woman are born under the penalty of sin. Dead to God. And in a state of condemnation. Which they will remain infor all eternity UNLESS something happens. This something is called many names. Justification, redemption, sanctification, being born again, Saved, I think you see my point.

2. That penalty was taken by our redeemer. The lamb of god who takes away THE SIN OF THE WORLD. Take away means that he has remved them. God can not offer salvation unless the penalty is removed. That is the power of the cross. God can offer Number 1 because he accomplished number 2 (Unlike this dudes jewish hating non christianlike attitude, I realise MY SIN has put christ on the cross)

3. The fall. When Adam sinned, the REPERCUSSIONS of that sin has been occuring ever sins, It will continue to expand until there is a time when all life on this earth is threatened (but don’t fear. At that very moment, Christ has promised he will return and put things back in order and rule himself on the earth

4. In the same token, Our persoal sins have REPERCUSSIONS. They affect us, they affect out lives they are panfull. Sometimes destructive. And other people and their sins have REPERCUSSIONS on us which may be JUST as DESTRUCTIVE. But these are NOT punishments, these are REPERCUSSIONS (people like to call them punishments maybe because they do not want to take accountability of thier own sins. God punished me, so I am ok, lets move on?) which I think is a huge problem in many churches, they water down the law, and do all this stuff, then attack when people call them out for it.

5 As for eternal punishment. As usual, this person does not read a thing anyone says. JESUS himself said ALL manner of sin and blasphemy WILL be forgiven all men. (He did nt say might, he said will) But rejection (unbelie) will not be forgiven in any age for all eternity. At the great white throne, people are judged for their works, and found wanting There work did not add up to pay their debt) and then cast in hell because of UNBELIEF. “Again Jesus said he who believes is not condemned, he who does not believe is CONDEMNED ALREADY)

6. Next, this guy says i teach a false gospel, i teach that i was dead to christ, that over the course of a year or more, God used my parents, the church, my pastor and many things to draw me to himself. Then one sunday morning, when someone sat and showed me in the bible the gospel. I finally understood completely, and received christ in faith by being like the tax collector and emptying myself and calling out to him, and i know at that moment he saved me. Now it has been over a year since i have seen this mans gospel. But i am prety sure he teaches the same gospel of grace through faith not works as i do. So if i teach a false gospel. I guess he does also. (Which should show his motive)

Plus, EG is stating the cross was not enough, nor was the payment. He stated Jesus paid for their sins, yet they have to do ‘x’. So, it is really Christ’s cross + them doing their part that procures their salvation. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Ok another slanderer,

Please show where i have said the cross is not enough,

In fact here, i posted this in another thread and you did not repond, put your money where your mouth is and show me where i think the cross is not enough.

[QUOTE="eternally-gratefull, post: 3796666, member: 82611"There are some who like to live in the false view that God never gets credit in anyones gospel but their own. And all we want to do is take credit for ourselves and keep it from God

Lets take a look at this.

1. God did the work of setting up the covenants, and the promises, the nation and the bloodline, The law (tutor) which would lead the people to, and everything put in place to make the cross happen.
2. God, set aside his diety, Came to earth in humilation (born in a animal feeding apparatus) raised in humilation (a bastard child) rejected by his own people. And suffered the most painful, dehumanizing death one can imagine, Although he was without sin.
3. While on that cross, God took my sin, and paid the price I should have paid. So I could be redeemed from the curse of the law
4. God did the work of putting his word together (faith comes by hearing) and God did the work of putting the church together, Equiping teachers who can rightly divide the word and teach
5. God did the work of convicting me of my sin, He did the work of convicting me of my unrighteousness. He did the work of convicting me of the fact I am rightly judged, and the pentaly is death
6. He did the work of well over a year, talking to me. Convicting me. Getting me to look at him, the drawing of myself to him, Many a night I would pray the sinners prayer, but did not understand, or feel that anything had happened He did the work of drawing me to the front of the church so that I could have someone take me and show me first hand the gospel and explain to me what it meant. Then finally, he did the work of bringing me to my knees, where, like the tax collector, I realised I had no hope. And called on him to show mercy on me. Unable to even look up at him, because I had nothing to offer.
7. At that moment, He did the work of justifying me based on the redemptive work of Christ, He did the work of giving me his rightiousness based on imputation, He did the work of making me born again, and filling me with his spirit. He did the work of sealing me with his spirit. Giving me eternal life. And gave me all things in him.
8 Since that time, He has done the work of growing me, Chastening me when I need it, redirecting my path. Growing me, tearing down my pride and showing me to learn to live as his example. He even after I went prodigal, Once again took me to my knees in chastening because as he promised, He will leave the whole flock to go get the one lost sheep.
9 He continues the work today, He began a good work in me at Hope Baptist Church, and he continues today, and I have no doubt, he will do it until the day of redemption.

If this is taking credit from God. Then I guess the tax collector was working really realy hard and can boast of how he saved himself. Not giving God any credit. and jesus made a huge mistake when he said he went home justified.

Punishment brings love my friend. Chastening of the Lord is a punishment, as He chastens them He loves(Hebrews 12).
Chastening is not punishment, it is correction, we are corrected in love,

Criminals are punished, children are corrected

If god punished us non of us would be standing here, we would all be sitting in hell waiting for eternity to end, knowing it will never end.

If Jesus took away the sin of the world, then everyone is saved. It is called the doctrine of expiation.

But man has to do something to get the reward, I mean gift. That's it, gift, let's just call it a gift anyway, even though it was given based on behavior, like choosing and stuff. :)

And apostasy will abound. It began as soon as Yeshua ascended.

Im asking this from an Orthodox Christian perspective where hell is not a place but our own experience of God's love (for some its hell, for some heaven)...

I find it hard to understand how God can be a "loving God", and at the same time force people to live, even though their eternity turns out to be hell everlasting...
If people (due to their own fault or not, it doesn't matter at all) are made sick by Him, and His presence and His love - wouldn't it be a "loving" thing then to end their misery by making them go back into nothingness/nonexistence?

It is already clear people like that will never learn to accept him and will eternally have a problem with him, and i doubt they will enjoy hanging out with demons and other wicked either... why keep them in existence then, what is the point?

Since it is established (as far as i know, anyway, correct me if im wrong) in Orthodoxy that God does not seek to punish people - the argument of punishment does not hold up, and even if that was the case - there wouldn't be any logic in punishing people eternally for just one short human life of sin, so in that case - God would, without a doubt, be a psychopatic autocrat, so the punishment argument is pretty much senseless to me...
Sounds to me like you, or your "take" on Orthodox Christians, is "God made a bed!" "I pissed in it!" (now?) "Why MUST I LIE IN IT!?!?" "UNFAIR!!" "UNFAIR!!" :p "BAD GOD!" :p

You said that the cross was for all. If all are not saved, it did not save them, correct? Then why did it not save them? You will say they did not do their part.

I say that the cross saves all who it was intended to save.
The cross is for all, but not everyone will recieve.

If I purchase a gift for people it does not mean people have to recieve it, they are free to say no thank you.

As for do their part. What part? Man can not do anything, I have told you this numerous times, why do you insist otherwise?

Please. Reread what I said, Because you missed the one thing I said which woudl prove you wrong on this.

So will you please, show where I spoke of faith vs unbelief and who was condemned and who was not.. And what he said about ALL sin..

I used Jesus words, Was Jesus wrong?

αἴρω (airō)

to take up, lift, raise; bear, carry; take away, remove; destroy, kill

The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!(John 1:29)

Now my friend, if Jesus took the sin of everyone away, everyone is saved. There is no getting around this.

20 In those days and at that time,’ declares the Lord, ‘search will be made for the iniquity of Israel, but there will be none; and for the sins of Judah, but they will not be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.’(Jeremiah 50)

This is speaking of expiation, the removal of one’s guilt. Jesus expiated the sins of His sheep upon the cross. Their sins, post salvation, can not be found. Why? Jesus took them away, expiated them.

Not really. Correction is instruction. Punishment is imposing a penalty,

But if you think it is we will have to agree to disagree/

15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;
The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.(Proverbs 22)

Wrong my friend. Discipline in the NASB is correction in the KJV.
