Global warming is simply the expression utilized referring to the melt down of glaciers around the world, the two polar thaws, the average temperature rises in both hemispheres, the ensuing droughts with rivers drying up and even disappearing, , wild fires erupting everywhere, and the great losses of crops and livestock world wide..

I think Christians and Scientists are running pretty much neck and neck though Science may have the upper hand as they are WILLING to revise as they go along and everyone follows, IN COMPARISON to Christians that is.
Christians study the WORDS OF GOD
Scientists study the WORKS OF GOD
Doesn't matter if the Scientist believes in GOD or NOT as everything 'that is', is a spoken law of God. But it's a LAW none the less. They can't make it quit being a law because they don't believe in God. They are probably more objective.
They say the big bang we know God spoke. They show it slowing progressing, we hear God speaking and bringing it all together.
Look at how HE speaks to the creation of the earth IT WAS A PROCESS. FROM HIS OWN WORDS

Everything that is, every process HAD TO BE SPOKEN. It has to be a LAW. Even the 'disorder' is ordered by GOD.
I myself, don't believe that the EARTH and the universe COULD APPEAR to be millions of years old, IF IN FACT they were not because
THAT would make God the author of CONFUSION which HE SAYS HE IS NOT.
I believe HIM. He gives us knowledge and wisdom and eyes to see and ears to hear and there is no deception in HIM. We take that by faith until the HOLY SPIRIT comes along and says 'check this out' AND if we are not all proud and stuck we 'LISTEN' and FOLLOW and He leads us unto all truth.
There is my belief. Millions of years old.

There is lots written that is never 'seen' or understood, but we know that doesn't mean it isn't there. Doesn't God tell us from the very beginning?
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
HOW COULD IT BE JUST SITTING THERE in the darkness, if it hadn't been created yet?
the other possibility would be GOD saying something like
'IN darkness and CHAOS all null and void I create the earth and the seas' OR WHAT EVER WORDS TO THAT EFFECT or in that direction or something along those lines
of which I personally HAVE NO CLUE nor any wish whatsoever to put any words into the mouth of GOD, to be clear.
