We will sin less and is what Meggido just said. Overcoming becomes our way of life.

Not of sweat...but by the power of Holy Spirit.

Guess what? I believe this true, And I preach this is true.

So what is your and meggido's issue?

Why do you continue to assume i do not now those things?

David was called a man after Gods heart. David understood the law did not save him or help him be good.

The holy spirit chastens you when you sin, why would he have to chasten you if you do not sin (God had a prophet chasten david, David also begged God not to remove his holy spirit from him, Or did you forget that)
do you really see what you do all the time.....

You are defending your salvation, AGAIN, and we are long past that thought with you, because we know you are a fellow brother....I am not asking you to defend your salvation or how God deals with you...I am showing you how to grow up in Christ and live in the overcoming now...

The Holy Spirit finds it rather tedious to keep having to chasten us on our practical righteousness issues, when he could be showing you how to meet the needs of others.....Is this not what Jesus was imparting to his own disciples..

One more post hopefully, and I hope my position is clear..

EG

The outer presence of HolySpirit is what the Jews experienced. Holy Spirit would come upon them in power, and the Presence was with them. Scripture says that. Jesus said to the disciples that Holy Spirit was with them but soon would be in them.

That's the difference.

Then am throwing this in...don't care who barks at me. WE NEED His empowering gifts that Holy Spirit has for each of us.

The help that Jesus has given to His body to be a partaker of the divine image. Remember that is His goal.

Your statements and theology do not line up with what is being said to you at all....you also tend to contradict yourself when the light gets too bright...

I'm assuming nothing about anybody. Am just stating what I know to be true.

Here is a thought...give it a try for 1 week and come back and tell us what it did for you...

Repeat 2 Cor 5.21 to yourself over and over....that is true renewal of your mind...

[SUP]21 [/SUP]He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]He made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin on MY behalf, so that I might become the righteousness of God in Him.<<<<<say it this way EG....

Now be careful here, you might just get a major breakthrough in your life....

Stop debating about it and do it....

No, You do me a favor. Instead af ASSUMING I do not know these things, Step back for a minute, rething what you are saying, Re read what I have been telling you. And them stop assuming you know what I believe.

For the third time now (in two days )

I FOUND OUT THOSE THINGS TEN YEARS AGO, AND IT CHANGED MY LIFE GREATLY.

As for the debate, there is no debate, BECAUSE I BELIEVE WHAT YOUR SAYING.. You just can not see it BECAUSE YOU THINK I BELIEVE SOMETHING ELSE>

lol, Your too funny dude, Your so out to prove me wrong on an issue, you will not listen.

90 % of what you say I already do and believe and as I have said, I HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR OVER TEN YEARS (since I was released from legalism)

You heard me say somethign about discipleship and getting together with people and went off the deep end saying i believe in sin conscious doctrine which is not true,

And I guess no matter what I say, You will not believe otherwise.

Wake up dude,, Your arguing a dead horse.

You want me to practice and believe things I already practice

and you judge me for things I do not believe or practice.

so of course I seem to be contradicting myself. It is not me, It is you..

I do not believe in sin consiouse doctrine, I do not preach it, nor do I practice it, I am not worried about my sin, I place my faith in God, I place my position in christ, In fact, Since I believe in eternal security, and meggido does not, My faith is in reality more in christ than his is.

So the issue we are having is someone heard me say something and went crazy instead of trying to find out what I really believed.

So I am done with this argument,, which is really no argument at all.

"How by our own power we can do nothing good"

Learn to read whole sentences..,it would make your life easier.

We do good by the empowerment of the Holy spirit.

Wow,, peterjens
you don't know the power and responsibility that comes with being a messenger and Ambassador, do you?

1. You have to get your message right for you are representing the King of kings,

2. You have diplomatic immunity.

3, I said Father king, thus I know I am a child of God. Even if you don't agree.

4, you should live godly lives because again.., you are representing the most High God.
Ariel - You testify to faith in Christ, and I say amen to that. I never decide on someones position
only their declared statements of belief. My problem is you are prepared to talk with people who
continually disown other believers on the wrong basis.

I have found it amusing today, realising a resting believer who is doing nothing, calling anyone
a worker is a complement. Any work I do, is work for Christ. He calls me to work like this.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.
Col 3:23-24

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Col 3:17

Are we workers who are working for an end goal?

To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.
Eph 4:12-13

We are all fellow workers with the brothers and sisters in Christ.

For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
1 Cor 3:9

Has anyone noticed the difference between work and rest? I have.

I never said you were EG...I said what Meggido was saying is truth.

Where you went wrong was in not really reading what he was saying in the beginning. All you had to do was agree with him back then. No argument then.

Now you say you agree...so that should finish the subject. We all are in agreement here.

No, EG...Meggido is right in his posts.

He's speaking of the righteousness conscienceness versus sin conscienceness. We will be what we believe. For it's out of the heart or mind, the mouth speaks.

He's saying its finished...what's finished? Sin..dead to sin and alive to God.

He's encouraging you to think you are now alive to God. In resurrected power. No longer at the foot of the Cross, but risen with Him.

You just took offense and can't hear from him now.
Are you perfect?
is everything that you do perfect and "hits the mark"
now that you have been baptized into CHRIST

E. V. E. R. Y. T. H. I. N. G. that you do is "wrought in GOD?"

You don't have to answer me
but if it isn't, who then do you attribute it to?

And if we are made aware of our sin, what do we do?

its finished is HIS WORK...
But HE's not finished working in us

For the will of GOD is our sanctification and that is an ongoing process
HE's the ONE who makes men holy
And apart from the ONE who sanctified Himself for us

We can do nothing

lol

You evidently came in halfway through the conversation. Sorry if you had to be dragged into this,,

It started because I made a comment, and he believed I taught sin conscious doctrine, I tried to show him I did not believe what he was saying I did, But he kept it up.

three times I said things he said I should do, or believe I started to believe ten years ago.. Yet he still did not get it.

So I am done with this argument,, which is really no argument at all.
A few observations "I am not worried about my sin"
"I place my faith in God"
"I place my position in christ"

Someone once pointed out to me a lot of "I"'s

I am worried about sin in my life, it undoes me, leads to death and is truly
worthy of judgement. If I fail, how can I go on rejoicing for I have failed my Lord.

I place my trust in the cross, and trust Him to cleanse me from confessed sin, so
I can continue to see need and minister to it.

If we walk in the Spirit and are overcomers, then sin is not an issue, because we
have resolved the underlying issues, and keep them in check.

Ofcourse those who believe they have never overcome and are not pure, cleansed or
holy, will have a hard time, if daily they confess sin which grips their life.

So I do wonder if a miracle has taken place and someone has realised what it means
to walk in love as Christ wants us to, or this is still a dream never to be reached?

I could say it amuses me, because I know stubborn hearts are set like flint against
these ideas, so it feels like rather than bringing a blessing of victory through the
cross in Christ, annoying a big monster who is going to try and crush me, ohhhhh.

But love never gives up or does not seek to express blessing and good things.

So God bless you, may the Lords light shine in your heart, amen.

If you had followed my posts here...you would know that I believe that the very fact that we are human means we are sin. It's our nature.

That is put to death with the Cross of Jesus...and we are risen with His nature. But, in spirit...which then needs to overflow into our soul and mind. Takes time...probably all our life.

I never for once said we don't sin...we miss the mark of the glory of God every day just be being alive. Until we change..and am speaking of going from mortal to immortal.

because we know you are a fellow brother....
I am interested, who are brothers and who are not.
Certain "believers" here are happy to call people many things, preach heresy, disown
most of the evangelical denominations and members as legalists without even meeting
them or knowing them, just on some derived theological basis of security of salvation.

ORAR - once righteous always righteous, even though it is a lie, it is Christs righteousness
they claim, even if they lose their faith, they believe it still applies. It is like an irreversible
contract that the believer can never break, even with hatred and unbelief.

And the funny thing is, as a believer if I come to Christ through faith and later decide I do not
hold to ORAR, I am not saved.

It is such a self serving easy believism position, where resting is everything because Jesus does
it all, and we do nothing, you actually have nothing in the end but arrogance and presumption.

I think some find reality through these ideas, because there is truth here with slight adjustments,
to decide who truly knows the Lord and who is deluded is quite a feat.
