Who got BANNED ? ? ?
Really? For what, do you know?
I don't normally comment on these issues but in light of recent issues, I will.

Azamsimtoti was banned because on multiple occasions he spoke against the accuracy and authority of the book of James. To claim that any of scripture is in error is heresy.

On a side note, DCon and Preacher are both on a temporary time out because of their constant inflammatory posts towards other users.

Gotcha, thanks.

I don't disagree with any of this, though the point of contention is separate. Certainly God will spurn those who are being conformed to His image in such a direction, but to teach that this is apart from works or that there is no such thing as works pleasing to God is where it seems the whole movement post-Luther has gone astray. There is clearly a judgment based on works/deeds that is repeated throughout the epistles and revelation that is an upcoming judgment. To teach people that they merely need to "believe" something is contrary to the Biblical presentation of faith. Faith that is separable from works, or even considered on its own, is no faith at all and it takes a faith that is conjoined with honest works to be reconciled. We are each culpable for our actions, and those who lack works but claim "faith" have none. It's that simple.

We are each culpable for our actions, and those who lack works but claim "faith" have none.
How exactly do "works' help to access and maintain salvation?

There is one correct faith that salvific and that is clearly stated in scripture.

What is the correct work that is salvific?

The very idea of faith without requisite deeds is foreign to the Biblical corpus. It is not simply a belief or assent in a proposition, but a lifestyle lived with regard to a given proposition.

The problem I have here is you are redefining biblical faith.

A "assent" to a proposition is not biblical faith... that is "acknowledgement" ...not faith.

Faith is trusting IN .. it requires an object.

And for the record...I do not believe CALVINISTS have the truth....at least 3 of the 5 tenants of Calvin's dogma are either false or skewed and contrary to scripture.....regardless of who peddles it....at the end of the day a dogma of man is being peddled and not the word of God...THE BIBLE is our rule of faith and practice. NOT A LIST of 5 tenants from a man dead and gone!

Just saying!

So whenever someone can't prove their false doctrine on this thread, they must go and start another one?
He did not start the thread ... but he certainly migrated there.
Misery loves company.

I will always be a ONCE SAVED TRUE Believer. Please ask me WHAT I BELIEVE THE BIBLE ACTUALLY TEACHES, and I will respectfully answer you. If you do not believe in the same thing, that is your Prerogative. But do not ASSUME you know what I believe in, because those taught by other non-OSAS are frequently errors. Those errors only led to friction.

Below is a sample of my BELIEFS.
I believe in OSAS, largely because we believe this Verses Literally:

John 10:27-28 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them {synonym for Born Again}, and they {continually strive to} follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.

Ephesians 6:24 (HCSB)
24 Grace be with all who have undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe these Verses Literally point out that we were SAVED from the first moment of Genuine Repentance and Believing IN JESUS as form of LOVING HIM, as my personal LORD; or sooner as I also believe in Predestination:

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Confessing you love JESUS as LORD of your Heart {human spirit} happens only by the power of the Holy Spirit and is not a work of ourselves, but the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in our Human Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:3.

Romans 10:8-10 (NASB)
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess {not simply profess it, it has to be true in your heart first,} with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart {human spirit,} that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

We are SAVED BY GOD's GRACE ALONE, and IF WE TRULY WERE, it is Irrevocable.

Romans 11:29 (HCSB)
29 since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

1 John 4:14 - Christ was sent, "To be the Saviour of the world"; we couldn't save ourselves, nor can we keep ourselves saved.

Amen.

Heb. 2:3 - If we have to work at earning or maintaining it, why does the Bible call it "So great a salvation"?
