Yep I have never denied this now have I?

And how did they become a son of God

1 John 1: 12 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

why do you continue to cause the word of God to contradict itself?

why do you continue to INSIST we make ourselves children of God, (By insisting we must work of our own power to continue to be saved) then DENY IT?

The difference is BOTH John 1v12 and Romans 8v12-14 is true for me, but ONLY John 1v12 is true for you.

For you are a legalist and ONLY select certain verses upon which to base your theology.

We are saved eternally provided we continue with the Lord to the end, do not grieve the Holy Spirit, or have a change of heart. I know you people say that cannot happen, but I know how changeable people can be. The Bible is very specific about backsliders, the warnings are horrendous and the Israelites flip-flopped very easily between the true God and false gods. We would not be warned against it happening, if it were not true. My concerns are not for myself but for others, and they are not dispelled by their easy dismissal of such things. All scripture is to be taken seriously, but the cults are very selective, and it is this selectivity and misapplication of scripture that causes me to be alarmed.
When people forsake the faith, I tend to be one who doesn't want to judge and tell them they never believed but at the same time question how strong their faith was in Jesus and the reason for their faith.

I don't believe it is good to preach one can lose their salvation. When pastors or teachers or people preach you can lose salvation, to me this teaching can encourage striving to earn God's favor or acceptance, insecurity, fear, doubt of salvation, and lack of trust in God. I have experienced the trouble of doubting my own salvation and questioning if I was accepted by God and not feeling good enough for God. I know the fear of eternal damnation that came with the doubt and questions I had. And while I don't think it is good to blame it all on what people teach about the bible because we also should test for ourselves the truth of what we hear and if it is true to the bible, I also believe certain teachings don't help either. Reading passages about eternal security, salvation, and trusting God etc. have been of help and encouragement to me and I want to grow more in trusting God and walking by faith.

so remember this when you make a statement and people say they do not agree with anything you said, And you continue to get angry and insist they respond to you.

YOU have done this to me multiple times and quite a few others here as well, as wich I am sure they will agree, you have done)

I will remember this, and bring it up every time you do this

are we understood?
Sounds like you cant answer it then so build this protective wall (example above) to protect yourself.

Nope they are both true for me, I explained rom 8 to you, John 1 is what made them sons, Rom 8 shows us what living as a son looks like

again, because of your preconcieved ideas. You prove you have no comprehension of what I am saying

Protective?

lets see, you said you agree with everything I said, which means you agreed with my conclusion, which I will ow repost

conclusion. This passage totally destroys NOSAS,

1. The only labor God requires is to seek after this "food" which endures forever
2. This food is Jesus himself the bread from heaven
3. whoever seeks is led by God himself. and when they come they will, as Jesus himself stated

Never hunger or thirst
Never die
Live forever
HAS eternal life
Will live as long as Jesus (our high priest) lives (he will never die so neither will we)
Will NEVER be tossed out
WILL be ressurected

WILL never be lost.

so either

1. you did not really mean what I wrote. So you missed this,
2. you At just trying to distract t from having to read Nd discuss it by saying you agree

if you really agree with everything I wrote like you said

then you agreed with my assessment that osas is a false doctrine?

You tell me

How can I read John 6, which makes it clear whoever COMES TO CHRIST has eternal life and will NEVER be cast out,

with a passage which appears to say one can COME TO CHRIST, yet does not have eternal life, and will be cast out?

Are they both right? Are they both wrong? Are is our misinterretation of one wrong?
My answer is I do not know anymore to be honest. You tell me, how does one be sanctified by the blood and still trample it underfoot.

It doesn't work with John 6 at all, so my honest to God answer is I simply do not know how to reconcile those two.

Thanks for being honest. I appreciate this humility

Here is how I see it. How does one trample the grace of god. Through unbelief

the cross purchased the price of sanctification for everyone, (all manner of sin shall be forgiven)

unbelief in The cross is what tramples the pentaly.
now think of it from a jewish perspective as written, the law

It also says these jews who were sanctified by christs death also continued in willfull sin, can we say these people are saved?that also tramples underfoot the grace of god.

this is the ONLY was I see these two passages in a way they do not contradict.

Those people had their sanctification paid for. But in unbelief and willful disobedience, they trampled the grace which purchased their freedom.

Amen sis.😁

We should be encouraged by who we are in Him and how faithful He is to keep us.

It's not our place to go and tell someone how they were never "saved". We can't know what God has started in them for sure or what the end will be before it happens.

We CAN know we are His and that it is by His mercy and not our walk... and we can know we will always place our faith in Him....

Romans 8 to you is called WORKS, and you reject them. When we call out ANY scriptures to do with Obedience and being led by the Spirit to put to death the misdeeds of the body, YOU kick against them. We are called works salvationists, yet we say that Sanctification is part and part of salvation. That Holiness is a Requirement to see the Lord.
You however are free to overlook that because you will demand entrance to the Holy City through a single verse. Yet God is showing what living by this single verse means. What distinguishes the real from the fake. The Sheep from the Goats, the Wheat from the Tares.

I hope all my brothers and sisters in Christ have a lovely holiday season and new year.😁

God is wonderful and despite all the hardships we may face, He is here for us and provides many opportunities to do good and to learn.

Kinda off topic but many of those I have spoken to the most over the years check here....

Let's do our best to show how grateful we are to Him who saved us and made us new this next year by showing His love in us and doing our best to remember all the blessings we have had and who we are in Christ.

I am grateful that He in His infinite wisdom... created the plan of salvation that can never be lost or forsaken... we have the New Adam and we are secure in Him.

For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence.
Ephesians 1:4

I am so thankful that God convicted me of this truth from the moment of my salvation and I have never doubted the veracity of His promises.

I am grateful that I understand that we are to move on to maturity, steadfast in the knowledge of our secure position in Christ, and not continually ponder what more needs to be done to secure our salvation..... as though Jesus failed and did not atone for every single sin.

I am convinced maturity in Christ, and understanding His word is founded upon trusting Him completely for all that is required for complete salvation.

Many come here to steal joy, grace and peace.... refusing to lay hold of this great truth of scripture and also work to draw others into their uncertainty... and they do this to their own detriment.

NO it is NOT of the OSAS crowd, as we believe it is SYMBOLISM, that the Wine and the Bread only represents, and do not TURN INTO the Body and Blood, upon ingesting it. Your concept of OSAS is Severely Distorted. Get your Info on OSAS, directly from us; instead of repeating what your teachers have unwittingly taught you about our Beliefs, which only amounts to lies.

The word is spelled: transubstantiation, and refers to the belief of the Catholic Church, Lutheran Church, and a few others.
As in most things concerning God, and or Jesus? Things "spoken/written" in the Bible? Mean 2, or more things, simultaneously, at the same time! Depending upon one's "Spiritual Altitude." (maturity)
Meaning? At one time? It was true! Which was why those (so called) "followers" subscribing to the "free lunch program", left Jesus.

(hint-it's not a physical thing...tis a "spiritual" thing)

Well? Some things are true, whether OSAS'ers believe it, or not.
If y'all OSAS'ers haven't "experienced" it yet? No worries! :)
You will! ;)

Up until the Great White Throne Judgement. When, all of a sudden? "Eternal Security", may not seem so eternal, any longer!

BTW, Thanks for the correct spelling of transubstantiation. (y)(y)

Once again, you prove you have no comprehenstion and continue ur to lie about what I believe

I call people who do works to maintain salvation works salvationalists

i do not call people who work at sanctification to grow in Christ works salvationists

romans 8 is a discussion On how we become sanctified, not how we become or maintain salvation

so once again, either try for once to undertstand what people believe, or just stop

if you want me and others to continue to correct your lies about us, feel free.but it hurts your own reputation,
for the final time

justification equals salvation

sanctification equals Christian growth

we are justified by faith apart from works, (living faith which will work)

we are sanctified by our falling in-line and walking in the spirit, yet our sanctification has no bearing on our justification,

next!

Lets cut right to the chase.

To Eternally-Grateful, a practicing Satanist can Come to Christ, commit his life to the Lord, pick up the free gift of Salvation…..and then go back to being a Satanist. In this scenario, Eternally Grateful says this person will still be saved. Because Eternally-Grateful says that this person DOESNT HAVE TO REMAIN in the Lord. He/or She says that once the gift is given it is irreversible.

And we all, deep down, know that the above is not true Christianity. Some here may lie to themselves, but they deep down know that this scenario is untenable.

I agree! It is more "spiritually healthy" in remaining "unsure", then it is "sure!"

"romans 8 is a discussion On how we become sanctified, not how we become or maintain salvation" - Romans 8 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die;

So you are basically wrong.

"yet our sanctification has no bearing on our justification," - Hebrews 14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

And wrong again.

Next.

True! But it is this:
2 Thessalonians 2

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
