Since you have redefined "believe" beyond what it means in context of scripture........ have to you denigrate the word "believe" and what it means within the framework of the Gospel.
There's no such thing as believing, that's a mistranslation.

Strong's "pisteuo means NOT just to believe."

Yes the relationship, eternal life, is maintained by Faith! Continually surrendering our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender. But a true surrender isn't maintaining so I get something in return. Surrender is giving up all rights to submitt our lives to Him.
So it seems you do not understand the function/role of the faith.

Yup

Of course there is entire semantic behind the word, however you cannot seem to deal with, you just want to make it mean "surrender" so you can interject your "works of the flesh" for salvation

I don't joke about anything that has to do with Christ. I'm extremely serious.
Well this is a good thing.

However my experience has been with many here who promote a false understanding is they rope you in/bait and then turn on you.

So I proceed with caution.

My broken record, bear witness to the fact, I've always said pisteuo has 3 specific aspects.
An act, based upon a Belief, sustained by confidence.

Pisteuo is a verb, an action word.

The Vines is who is defining pisteuo in relationship to God a surrender+ a belief the surrender has been accepted + a life inspired by such surrender.

It's not honest in our conversation for you to keep trying to stamp this back on me. You can't just disregard the Strong's and Vines.

If what you have to share is the truth, you have nothing to be cautious about.

greek word for surrender-paradidokmi.

meaning - to give into the hands of another, to give over to another's power, to permit/ allow ...

so, here we have a word, that says what you attempt to make " believe " mean.

so, all you are doing is smoke and mirror tricks , and misdirection to try to convince others that belief and faith in Christ is not enough ...
i will pop in from time to time to point out you attempts at deception.

remember people , no matter what he says, there is a totally different word for surrender, used 122 times, so, a well known word.

don't fall for the deception. if " be;ieve " and "surrender" are the same, then 2 words would not be needed.

The problem is you make surrender an ongoing event to secure salvation.

And what is it we surrender? Think on that.

Not scriptural.

Well what is it that the Vines is telling us to surrender? And what is it the Vines is telling us to live Continually surrendering to.

What is the Strong's telling us to commit to? What to be committed to? What to commit unto?

I understand those things to be our lives. What is it your thinking it is?

Because of the life of Faith as I've defined it, when I sin, it's not me doing it but sin dwelling in me doing it. Sangtification 101.
Ah okay its not you doing it but the sin in you.

So when you (or I) do sin, what shall we do?

I can't speak for you. But because I am living a life of faithing, pisteuo as defined in the Greek dictionaries Strong's and Vines, I'm in the same state of sangtification as Paul describes in Rom. 7:14-21.

We are not in that state at the start of our faithing life. Most people have yet to respond with faithing or pisteuo to the call of the Father.

This is why I asked.

The correct answer for what a Christian should do if they fall into sin is: CONFESS and keep the ball rollin'

A righteous man may FALL DOWN, but the righteous man will also GET UP.

Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
