I'm not out to disprove anything but i know what i'm talking about and i'm ready to pay the price in the last day; that's how confident i am (1 John 4:17). Are you ready yourself?
so, you think one has to keep the Law of Moses and the Sabbath to be saved , and yet " I know what I am talking about"...

maybe you think you do.......

Wow, what cult did you come from?

paul, said to be absent from the body was to be present with the lord

he could not make this claim if his future was not already determined

"you shall know them by their fruit."

Contention and envy have no place in the Kingdom of God.

So many today mock what they cannot understand, or refuse to accept.

Sad, that this is the "light" that others must see.

Amen......the word hope means a confident expectation of something guaranteed.....he is lookong at it from a worldly lost state with eyes shut.......the context is the resurrection/change.......NOT SALVATION......and expectation is GUARANTEED..........a man void of truth CANNOT possibly grasp the truth.....such is this particular case!
Titus 1:2
in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.

Titus 3:3At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

This is what pisteuo is, what true saving Faith is. The English language doesn't have a word to translate all three aspects of pisteuo. Belief is only one third of pisteuo. Taken on it's own is error.
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
3 aspects of saving faith:

1. An appeal of mind/intellect "The word of faith, which we preach"
2. An appeal of heart/ emotions "..and in thy heart... believe in thine heart
3. An appeal of decision/will "Whosoever believeth"

Correct.

But who in the world has a confident expectation for what they already have?

Rom 8: 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
I think you should go over the context and find what hope is this all about or are you trying to hop what is not all about.

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

We are called to apply strenuous effort against false doctrine.

Amen Thank you! :)

For false doctrines such as 'eternal security', a 'pre-trib rapture', various twistings of God's grace, and the mistaken belief that 'heaven is our home', have left the churches in the horrible, unprepared, mess that they are today.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

What is better than eternal life?
Amen brother.

"Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." - John 17:1-3

Eternal Life is to know God and become one with His Son, Jesus.

"that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." - John 17:2-23

Oh glory!
And when these God has chosen to become one with Christ, His "co-heirs", are "perfected" by their obedience; having "walked worthy" and "overcome", THEN the world will believe.

And that IS Bible! (y);)

Oh boy.... opening up the can of worms now!

I am so thankful my daily surrender is not what saves me, but His work upon the cross ... a Perfect Work done completely because of His love for us while we were yet sinners , and that it is completely sufficient to save us to the uttermost.
I never insinuated that our continual surrender saves us, but I specifically, " like a broken record" did say pisteuo or a Continually surrendered life is the correct NT response to who and what has saved me. Not a response that I have created, a response that the Father mandates to come to His Son!

Oh, I agree with the Word of God, the "whole counsel of God."

I used that "worm" phrase, because I know some here cannot accept that the overcoming "elect" will become "one with Christ Jesus as He is One with the Father." That Truth and prayer of Jesus stands in direct opposition to many denominations 'Statement of Faith.'

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Of course, this is specifically an erroneous meaning of pisteuo. It takes only a simple faith, to trust in Jesus. Only trust him, only trust him, my friend.

Only trust him, only trust him,
only trust him now.
He will save you, he will save you,
he will save you now.
Trust Him as long as He saves you? Would you trust Him if He decided not to save you?

That IS "overcoming", and the only way one can receive the promises of God in Rev 2 & 3.

"Present your body a living sacrifice."
