You know, if we can trust God for our eternal soul salvation, we must trust Him through all circumstances. My devotion for today.

He loved us when we were his enemy, so much, he died for us in that state

does he love us less after?
Alas my friend many think he does.
Truth is that most of those that think that way do not have a concept or know what AGAPE love is.

Performance based acceptance and love is often baggage that people carry over when they come to Jesus.

So I suppose the question to be asked if they still struggle with this why do they so.

Hmm let me think.

God's Agape love was given on the cross so you could be reconciled to him.

When you are reconciled to him then that love changes.
No longer Agape but the concept of love before you came to him is now effective.

Work and do to earn my love and acceptance.
That goes against the very nature of God.
God is a God of love. AGAPE love.

Who teaches such things against Agape love?
Those who do not get it.
Then what do they do?

That does not mean i was wrong

i attended hope baptist church, many of the people i grew to respect suddenly dissapeared, and i came to find out why, my dad was a deacon of that churxh for years, and his self righteous attitude against people who commited certain sins makes me sick to my stomach today,

it was not in every baptist church i went to, but no matter what churxh i went to that taught lordship, they tended to lead to legalism

god wants to be our abba first, thats why we can go to him not in the spirit of fear but with a sound mind no matter what we have done,

yes he is lord, but first he is poppa,

I have NEVER run into a church that meant more than:

Romans 10:8-11 (NASB)
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

That is ALL I or the numerous Churches I have been involved with, MEANT by the TERM, "LORDSHIP SALVATION".

So the FEW, that add legalism to that term, are GIVING THE REST OF HONEST LORDSHIP SALVATION CHURCHES a BAD NAME.

That seem rather unfair to those of US that Stick by the Original meaning for "LORDSHIP SALVATION".

I used to call ourselves "FUNDAMENTALIST", then the Cults started using it, so we abandoned using that term.

Then they came after the TERM "RAPTURE", and the cults started using it too, so I started calling it "The Calling Out of the BRIDE".

Now you tell me they have high jacked the beloved name of "LORDSHIP SALVATION"; and YES, I BELIEVE any Church that believes in LEGALISM, is a Psuedo Christian Cult in my opinion. AND I REFUSE to give up that TERM, that only means A LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH MY LORD AND MASTER. I will expose them as yet another Psuedo Christian Cult.

Question for the shark tank?

The word in he Greek that is used to communicate what saving Faith is, "pisteuo", is defined as a" personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender" in the Vines Greek dictionary.

My question is: In your eyes, is a daily surrendering of our lives to God and living a life that supports that committment to God a works based salvation? An addition to the work Christ did on the cross?

Keeping in mind, if the daily surrendered life is genuine, the life nolonger belongs to the surrenderer, but to God. So the work and effort would be mostly courage (what Christ repeatedly tells His flock to have) about 90%. And about 4% tinacity, and 1% everything else.

Is this description a work that adds to Grace, the finished work of Christ on Calvary?

I have a loving relationship with my abba father,
while he is my lord and master, first and foremost, he is my loving father

Okay could you explain why you think that way?
And precisely on what I wrote in my question.
First of all, what does it mean to live a life of daily surrender?

Fyi....I may not respond right away... the sun is setting, I have an evening ritual as part of my daily surrender :)

That would be a tradition . A surrendered life is just that a surrender. There are many daily decisions that we make that support the surrendered life.

You don't agree with the Vines definition of saving Faith,"pisteuo"?

We did this "song and dance" before and it went nowhere as I recall except round in circles like the Cotton Eye Joe

I get the hint , you don't want to have a discussion about this. Maybe give someone else a chance?
