I agree he went to Abraham's bosom for sure no doubt but Jesus went to a place where he felt the pain and suffering and this is what the KJV calls hell... I don't know what modern translation call it, maybe Hades.
Point is that Jesus went to paradise in the center of the earth, he went to a place of torment in the center of the earth also. I believe that the two together are called hell in the KJV. It is the abode of the dead... until Christ came all the dead went there. But when Christ rose from the dead they rose with him and he took them to heaven with him at the ascension. And when we die we don't go to Abraham's bosom, we go to heaven with the Lord and all the Old Testament saints.
So from that time forward, hell is ONLY a place of torment and suffering, there is no longer any people in Abraham's bosom.
