A quick observation. If someone over a whole year cannot find an obvious sin to confess
is it unreasonable for them to surmise they have not sinned over that year.

Now does it matter, unless you believe it is impossible, which means it is so annoying you
are convinced they are evil liars just pretending. But what if it is true and they live a secluded
peaceful life of prayer and praise. What you need to do, if you really think they are sinning, is
write out the sins you know you are committing and ask yourself could your stop doing this,
easily. And if the answer is yes, you know you are just allowing yourself to be compromised.

Now I truly have no reason to believe some can walk like this, to I just praise the Lord for their
testimony, Amen
We are not saved by dead works.

We know sinners are sinning... they live in a body of death having not received the promised incorruptible body. This shows us we are under the wrath of God all the days of our lives, as the wrath revealed from heaven. Aging, decaying leading to sure destruction called death, as in deader than a door nail .

We cannot get life from death as if the corruption inherits the incorruptible. We are new creatures given an etenal spirit that could never die. It will be raised to new life at the sound of the last trump. If we do the will of God its what we are expected to do. It’s the kind of food the disciples knew not of. We do not get "extra" reward for the work of following His will, it does not do anything with our sin. Even unbelievers love unbelievers with God’s love .God is Love, he is Spirit and He is light.

One can pray he will figure out how to express his beliefs without mixing sanctification into justification or that God will change them if he actually believes folks need another foundation than Jesus or that good works actually save folks.
Its all one foundation, one work of the one faith, of God. We can no more seperate sanctification from justification any more than we could seperate works from faith or love from marriage. Can't have one without the other

What God has joined togeter, in that way let no man call seperate

.Christ is the just one and the justifier of our salvation. To be sanctified is to be set apart. Its where the word saint comes from. This shows we have been justified. To be santified set apart is to be justified. He does not set as apart for salvation those who he does not call to salvation. They have no justifcation... not being justified by the work of another of Himthat has set us apart.

The strange thing about this concept is it is not addressing the points I am making.
I get the feeling people are more concerned with their theology than real life and relationships.

Words like obey, strive, press on, carry ones cross, sacrifice seem to be out of peoples dictionary.

As I am not talking about saving yourself through behaviour, rather this reflects your true
beliefs, these dismissive arguments are just that, excuses for not following and obeying Christ.

If you are in a building on fire the rules do not matter so much as your behaviour. If you get
it wrong you die, if you get it right you live. Love is a very practical thing, and all the theory in
the world does not change its effects.

Our focus is on Jesus and His love..,good works flow from what God has placed with in us.

If I focus on good works, I tend to freak out or get prideful.
This is not an argument about not helping people or seeking to meet need but an excuse.
And I do not think we are robots, because we see and choose but it is God who leads.
The exercising of faith is about Jesus leading us through His word to see need and practically
respond.

John talks about if you have good provision of finance and see your brother is poverty and ignore
it that is not expressing love towards them.

As they say in Australia....something about losing the plot!!
dc - I had hoped of better from you. Maybe you do not understand what love is?
Are you like this with your son?

One member here talked about how they ministered to people with dementia and how they expressed
the love of God to these vulnerable people.

It later became apparent when they got angry they became abusive and they did not know the
boundaries of anger.

I have no problems with rejection or abuse, it is just we are called to be a family, to be brothers
together, of one mind and heart.

As you are so keen to tell me how wrong I am, and by implication how right you are, I was hoping you
could show me the example of walking like Jesus is love and acceptance?

But not to your mind and heart Peter, all one to God's mind and heart. The disagreements arise when we have a different understanding on what the heart of God is according to His testimony.

Please tell me what is in God's mind and heart?
Is it we should walk righteously and in love and holiness or in sin?

If it is in sin, where does it say this and which sins can we compromise on?

Now John talks about praying for forgiveness for those brothers and sisters who
sin but not unto death, and the Lord will forgive them.

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
1 John 5:16

This implies yes we will sin, but we also need prayer and intercession about this.
Sanctification is a process of transformation and changing ones heart. It is obvious this
is not an overnight thing, but very much a journey, that is embedded and complex in our lives.

But if we cannot agree the goals and the biblical method of getting there, how can we agree
we know the King equally.

Now if in reality some feel they break fellowship with other believers on secondary issues, it is
their loss, and we are able to keep an open door for our weaker brethren. If it becomes abusive
though, such sinful behaviour has to be rebuked and if not repented of, expelled from the fellowship.
But I am at present just appealing for the expression of love that should be present.

Faith plus works of wood, hay and stubble still equals saved and works do not save, keep saved or embellish salvation...Galatians 1 and 3

and to be frank....your theology aligns with number three on the list...does that make you a dead tare?
A wise man once said, "He who slings mud, loses ground". You may not be holy, but you certainly have your share of holes.

Those who believe they never sin at all are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness (1 John 1:8-10).
Aaahh..... but so are those who think they're still holy after regular sinning without repenting or feeling conviction.

The difference between children of the devil and children of God is addressed in 1 John 3:7-10.

Evening my English friend.

I think we have been justified because we have been saved. Truth is God could save all if he wanted to.
The reason he doesn't is bacause people don't want God in their life. Their own life is their own God.

So putting aside works issues (and I am not saying they should be disregarded) I would say at the point we call on the name of Jesus

Romans 10:9-11
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Notice it says WILL BE SAVED, it doesn't say you may be saved.

I get from your posts that until you meet God and he says "your in" you are not sure your in.

This can confuse justification and the following Sanctification.

If you get a chance read the following from the links. Short reads but a good read.
