Sir, you cannot obey God UNLESS you have the Holy Spirit. If even anger in your heart is murder, as our Savior said, then you can not obey Him unless He does something for you. Are you saying you never get angry? Are you saying you aren't a murderer?

Your next move will be to say: it says "without cause!" That is a further matter that you will also not be seeing the full scope of, but for now, are you saying you never have anger in your heart at anyone?
Absolutely, ABIDING in him we sin not (known). We sin when we do not ABIDE in him and are drawn away after our own lusts and give in to temptation to sin.

It is only by ABIDING IN him that any of us can bear fruit. Without Jesus we can do nothing at all except SIN. That is why we need a Saviour to save us from our SINS. God's LAW shows us our need of our Saviour so we can seek him for Salvation. The Good news is that we have a Saviour that can save us from the power of SIN to those who BELIEVE in his WORD. If the Son shall set you free you shall be free indeed.

Temptation begins in the mind and this is where the battle begins in those who have FAITH in God's promises. The Gospel of Christ is the POWER of God unto salvation from SIN is all those who BELIEVE.

Those living a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN do not KNOW God's POWER to save a sinner and are still in their SINS.

To be saved we have to build our house on the rock being a doer of the word, but what happens if you keep on sinning? Will you lose your salvation? If you keep on sinning you are building your house on the sand....?
amen and thats all we need to do, to part from iniquity, and learn and follow Jesus and His gospel. we dont have to first make ourself perfect then come to Him, infact if were thinking that were off track. to belong to Jesus we have to bring the mess we really are in secret to Him and acknowledge the truth and Let His words become our foundation that will change the flaws in Our minds and Hearts and teach us to think as Gods Children, Like Jesus.

mostly because they will not accept the sorrow that is Meant to convict and change thier Hearts regarding sin, not wanting to feel guilt is hurting alot of people who would repent if they acknowledged thier actions are wrong. just the thought that if we sin we shouldnt feel guilty to me is sort of totally off base its selfish really.

when we sin were most often offending another person, so if i slap someone in anger, i should never feel bad that i did that, because im forgiven already, i dont even need to ask forgiveness, im chosen and God will never expect me to actually repent"

its a contrary thought. we should actually feel conviction strongly when we do wrong, even if were planning to do wrong..because thats what Leads us to Not do things. and to stop doping them because we Know what we have done is sin, its satans will for man.

if i cheat....i should feel ashamed and confess. if i Lie, i should feel conviction because " Im a child of God and Gods children speak truth"

if i commit adultery, i should feel guilt for what ive done, and follow that guilt to repentance and confession.....we shouldnt feel guilt for our pasts, we should walk in consciousness of How we are presently Living and walk according to Jesus Gospel.

its not for our condemnation, but for Our Lives

Well that has no truth in it whatsoever. You indeed deny the POWER of God unto salvation in order to justify breaking his Commandments in order to follow your Catholic traditions. God does not save us IN SIN. The Good news is that God saves us from SIN.

Grace is not a liscence to SIN it is for OBEDIENCE to the faith.
Paul actually say Sin will keep people out of the Kingdom. galatians and ephesians 5...

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

we cant live in sin and still inherit the Kingdom, pretty clear paul repeats it Here.

ephesians 5 " But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

( Note it is possible for them to partake of the wrath upon the disobedeint paul warns them for good reason not to be deceived into thinking sin no loinger matters pretty clear but not many will actually accept this and let it into thier thinking because well.....Grace omits everything in man people mind even though the same Guy who just said saved by Grace...says this also. seems paul spends alot of time making sure no one can think sin is not relevant anymore..... but like anything is we ignore it its not really there to us.

Grace leads to us repenting, to us doing the things God wills we do. we can do all we need to do through Christ who strengthens us. no more excuses left for sinners to continue on, grace is the way out of that cycle not a pass to ride it free of charge,....

Frustration in a world of loneliness

Jesus's gospel is glorious and idealistic. We are born individuals, with a mass of feelings
and triggers under our control to a degree. We mess up, hide, defend withdraw and start
proving we are better than the guy next to us.

Jesus comes along is a different league, saying stuff we can understand the words but are
totally incapable of being and following. So here is the thing. We have to become defenseless,
open, honest, unworthy in ourselves but worthy in Christ.

Now in a "nice" community, nothing obviously bad goes on. But under the surface raging emotion
murder, lust, rage, greed, envy. So it soon becomes obvious there is a disconnect between the
life one leads and the heart in tumult.

Jesus is saying when you open up, empty yourself, submit and call from the heart, He comes to
embrace you as a child of the King. When the bile, the tumult is admitted and not denied, worked
through and the sources found, then peace and joy come to reign. You become one with Him and
every brother and sister who has His heart.

How evil is evil? It is things that lead to hurt and death. It is destructive and causes damage to
people and relationships. Sin is the symptom of an unresolved heart. One sign is this continual
acceptance of hurt and damage done to others just shrugged off. You will not walk into heaven
like this, or embrace Christ and know His heart and truth. So you living is darkness and death.

The Nazi's in the death camps had no problems killing people, they deserved to die, and they were
doing the people a service to remove them. A necessary evil they would tell themselves as they
went home to their families. That is how evil works, it is not your fault, it is the way things are.

The cross is declaring no it is a choice, and here in the cross, openness, sacrifice, becoming like
a child, starting again simply based on love, service and care you will find eternity in Him.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

That post was not even to me, but to Dan. How many times did you LIE about what constitutes breaking the commandments of God before you FINALLY accepted my correction? Me saying you have said it is not a lie, but you lie to deny ever having said it, which you did multiple times in this very thread. Now you will probably deny that you denied it. LOL. You are so predictable. My dinner calls. May God have mercy on your soul.
"before you FINALLY accepted my correction"

Welcome to the world of the correcting teachers to whom we must bow for their superior
understanding and teaching. They have decided the Lord is not doing a good enough job
and want to replace Him and the Holy Spirit and speak directly to people to really, really
put them in their place.

May God preserve us from offering anything else than the Lords word and His rebuke, but
mainly His love and encouragement

When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?" But Jesus turned and rebuked them, and they went to another village.
Luke 9:54-56

Here Jesus is going to Jerusalem, but His disciples get rejected from a village and
they want to destroy that village out of judgement, yet Jesus rebukes the disciples
for such an approach. We are to follow Jesus's example.

Missing the mark there mate....
I love this phrase, like a stamp of disapproval. So many want to just say, "if I disapprove of
you and want to show disdain, I will show it by calling you names, come out with some
generalities and round it off with some put downs. I am not trying to win you over, just
annoy you and then laugh when you get upset."

The yobs, young youths who go around in gangs know how to do this very well, it is just
about provoking a fight and declaring identity. It has nothing to do with the Lord, eternal
love, righteous loving behavior or a reasonable response to a sincere desire to honor God.

There are real reasons why any group exists and why they want to share.
If you truly know the Lord, you will listen to these things and learn where their hearts are,
and then you will know how to respond to those willing to listen to the Living God
and His word.

And as is very clear, many just want their ideas and to not let anything speak to their
hearts and lead to change.

They fail to realise even one sin (no matter how small) is so horrific to God that that sin causes death to the one who is guilty of it (apart from the cross)

Romans 10
10 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

this explains clearly what we are debating
bump for them who think they get saved by works

very busy today

but i still see many confused people

(i dont need to add words to this... scripture speaks for itself)

1.

john 6
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

_______

2.

Ezekiel 36:26
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

1 Samuel 16:7
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

___________

3.

1 peter 1

3.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

_________

4.

1 john 3

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

romans 4

3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

I'm assuming the answer is yes? You do sometimes have anger at another in your heart?

Next question. Do you ever worry about anything?

It is amazing how anybody wants to defend their sinful behaviour without
sorrow, regret, repentance, confession and commitment not to repeat the behaviour
but rather seek righteousness and love in Christ.

What believers will always testify to is walking in the ways of Jesus yet if they
do stumble, finding forgiveness in Christ through repentance confession and forgiveness.

As we grow we grow closer to Christ and knowledge of His will. It is this that changes
us and leads us to the place of victory. Only those who have no progress want to
judge and condemn others as failures equal to themselves or worse, rather than
encourage them to grow deeper in Jesus and His ways.

The obvious reality is, if you are open and walking in love, it really does not matter what
others are doing, you just want to spread the light of His gospel to all you meet. Amen

Little children, brothers and sisters in Christ. There is no profit in feeding the deceptions of some.

Canadians don't use the term "yobs". That is a British term. This Star Trek episode reminds me of deceptors like some we have here:
