To defend sin is to commit sin.

Just not pricked enough to avoid the temptation?
It is written..."Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

I agree completely.
Their flesh has been "crucified with the affections and lusts". (Gal 5:24)

The devil doesn't strike, he lets us do the dirty work.
Thanks be to God though, for allowing us to kill the old man and be reborn of seed that cannot bring forth evil fruit.

Daily reckon it dead Philip. This has to do with remembrance. For our humanity is weak and frail. We need Holy Spirit and His power, moment by moment. We are told that we can be like someone who looks into a mirror, then goes away forgetting the image we are.

why? Because we have an enemy that's expressed through the spirit of this world, our flesh, and the devil. Spiritual warfare isn't understood by most.

And your religion denies these things to be so.

Perhaps next time you join a site you won't use the name "stone"?
How could you get kicked out of a place meant for arguments?
Were you too agreeable?
LOL
I wasn't kicked out. I left. My second time I left. Wasn't allowed a return. You do have a comprehension problem.

And my user name will remain wherever. I don't hide. :)

Jesus is the Word, made flesh.
The Word was God.
Jesus is His Son, no less God. The Imrah of the Jews who was The Word of the Lord who manifested to them. Always has been. And God in a human body. Not fallen flesh. That was through Adam. Jesus did not come through Adam.

So He didn't have to overcome sin. Temptation isn't sin.

Looks to me like he is trying to make it two in a row.

Notice PJW did it again, in that post You (BillyG) replied to, making it look like I said, what he actually said.
He is probably rolling on the floor laughing, but doesn't that make guilty of this:

2 Timothy 3:13 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Evil people and impostors will become worse, deceiving and being deceived.
sorry VCO.

Are you saying PJW posted and attributed it to you? Mind you have to be honest I thought I was responding to him.

Please accept m apologies for replying to something that you never said But was inferred to you.

I think I know you from bible-discussion. First user name is Philip?

Oh, and I'm banned too. :)
I was temporarily a member of bible-discussion, but left that forum several months ago because it had become hijacked by false teachers, such as sinless perfectionists, anti-Trinitarians, works salvationists etc.. and was nothing but a war zone and the mods did nothing about it! :(

I became so fed up with that toxic environment that I left. I'm not surprised or disappointed to see that website is shut down. So PJW is Philip from bible-discussion? I remember a Philip (or was it Philip2) from bible-discussion who was obsessed with the false doctrine of sinless perfection.

Not lose salvation, give it up. Some believe they have salvation but there is no proof in their life. The Bible says you will know a tree by its fruit. If there is no fruit such as the fig tree then they will be cursed just as the fig tree.

Hi VCO,

You are free to believe what you want.
I chose to show God that I love Him above all else.
Its a shame you don’t show that love to others on here.
Genuine believers who acknowledge they sin and humble themselves before God.
Such people you condemn and accuse them of not being saved because they are not sinless like you and your crowd.

Ps you seem to insinuate that sins are only washed clean when we get baptised.
Our sins are washed clean in the blood of Jesus.
Baptism is an outward sign of having placed our faith in Jesus and does not save us.

Can't give up something one has never had called "eternal life". Its is the better thing that accompanies salvation. rather then crucifying Christ over and over every time a person violates one of the laws of God.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Offering dead wonderful works coming from a dead faith a person ends up the the man in Mathew 7 .Notice Christ did not say he did not perform the good works but having them in respect to something we do rather that Christ working in us to both will and do His good pleasure a imputed righteousness .Not self righteousness.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.Mat 7:22

It is impossible to "give up" salvation. Once you're saved, that's it. Salvation can never be lost, revoked, taken away or given up.. :)

I have to wonder if he ever read:

1 John 4:20 (NKJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

1 John 3:14 (NCV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] We know we have left death and have come into life because we love each other.
Whoever does not love is still dead. {Not born again.}

He probably has but as we are not his brothers, or those who acknowledge they sin.
Then they are not brothers so the above does not apply for us ungodly acknowledging believers.

That being the case then maybe the following should apply
Love your enemies.

Are you serious? Has life not taught you anything? Some Christians experience really difficult problems and blame God because they are not mature enough to handle the situation. So they deny God"s love and existence and curse Him. Garee read the bible some more and allow God to give you a better understanding.

Jesus is the Word, made flesh.
The Word was God.
Our English word flesh is sarx in greek. It can mean the body of flesh, or as in the physical. Or the human nature.

Adam was formed from dust and created a living soul. Jesus had a human body but spirit and soul was the inherited nature of Father. Eternal and not from Adam.

Otherwise He would not be the perfect sacrifice for our fallen nature. So in our Spirit we are made perfect in Him. Holy Spirit dwells in our Spirit, but is refining our soul, and healing our body.

I like what Fredoheaven posted in one of his posts. My words though...we are either carnal Christians, or spiritual Christians.

We learn how to walk by Spirit and some are more proficient at this than others. I wish I was a bit more on that side.

Thanks for posting the scriptures fred...it hit home for me.

Here is how it appears on my end:

From the blue " marks to the period behind God is a quoted Text Box but it is not my quote, then below is your message. It is your post #42939. If it is a glitch it is a strange one.

To live without sin or obedient.
Jesus was both and only him.

To be honest your post above is no more an abomination to those who walk in obedience of faith and yet acknowlede before God they get it wrong.

You claim to be sinless and those who are not are now an abomination, by inference.
I know (via pm) and have seen it but you have made people feel worthless and a piece of crap.
Something you would wipe of your shoes as you walk on by.

What you have accused others of you fall foul yourself.

No love or compassion, just piety and condemnation.

Maybe that’s why you were banned on a Christian forum you were on a few years ago.

When you stand before Jesus and he asks

”Why should I let you in”
What will be your response?

The fig tree is the symbol of Israel. And it was fig leaves that Adam and Eve put on to cover their nakedness. One of our problems with the scriptures is not knowing symbols and what they represent so we begin to apply all the scriptures to the body of Christ which is all there was until 1948 when Israel rose from the ashes and was declared a nation again.

We cannot apply these things to the body of Christ. What we are is a revelation that was given to Paul. So we need to keep with revelation for truth.

The Sons of God. Learn this. Being One with Him. Find out what this means.

I don't know it all either but I do see this separation. And I know the fig tree without fruit is not the body. Jesus was showing that law which Israel delights in does not produce fruit. To cover oneself will always take innocent blood. Not leaves.
