Yes, after re-reading the post, I see that now.. lol :) Though the way he worded it, a person could very well misunderstand what he said..

Jaime said he did not imply works were needed to be saved...

Reading comprehension is often something that doesn't exist here, especially during debates. I've been guilty of it too. I think what you wrote made sense though and shouldn't have been misconstrued as badly as it was.

Are you sinless? That seems to be what the argument always boils down to. If you say you are sinless, you lie and the truth is not in you according to John. Yet other Scriptures say the one who sins is a slave to sin, and people extrapolate that as being the equivalent of not saved. People seems to take up positions on either side of this issue, and that is where the conflict exists.

He's a blessing and he knows it.

Wonder how many other expressions I don't know!

nope im not sinless but i was filled with sin and love of sin and the more i let go of myself
the more i let God guide me

the less i sin

i also no longer love sin

Gods cast out my potty mouth, my violent life style, my stealing, my drinking, my drugs, my lust, my concern and fear of death or desire for worldly things

thats not cause i felt like being a "good guy" or think im sinless

thats cause God called me out
showed me the truth
and im learning to love him

how i show him is repentance and hes helping me get better and better at it

Praise God for delivering you of so much! He is a good and gracious God, is He not? The Scriptures say the one who sins is a slave to sin. But we have been called out of our sinful lifestyles and redeemed by the covering of His righteous blood to proclaim the riches of His mercy. Learning to walk in His ways is a life long journey. I wonder how many people repent and believe as Jesus exhorted us to, and suddenly become perfect? Perfect as in being made complete in Him, not perfect the way a lot of people misinterpret it to mean... it is a process. Some people repent and believe at a young age, wow, that blows my mind, you know? Because I was so stubbornly set against God and religion for much of my life, so much that even after He revealed His love and forgiveness to me through the cross, I continued to run from Him and look for something else for quite a few years.

It was the first thing that came to mind when I read "washing up", it means getting really, really angry lol.
Hi Susanna, I don't get really, really angry. I go way beyond that that. I find myself saying "Don't make me angry, you won'tlike me when I'm angry" then I turn green and out grow what I'm wearing.

For some strange reason people spend a long time miss-reading.

Jesus is glorious, and the cross says it all. God made man, God who died for our sins,
and He would not provide a way to victory?

Eternal love is hard to see when we have been betrayed by people so often and so
deeply. But this is the gift of grace God brings us, when we accept it and it becomes
our own, Amen to the King.
