I never deny anything.
What I have never agreed with is believers not being judged for unrepented sin.

Faith is reconned as righteousness. The imputed righteousness argument is just hogwash.
Either you are cleansed and innocent or guilty and to be judged.

You love to lie about twisting stuff, but I do not. When will you grow up and just be honest.

You claim to know Jesus. I do not see it, just excuses.
HAHAHAH this right here proves why you are blocked by many....no honesty, cannot admit truth, refuse to admit your words and only one entity would lead man to deny the imputed righteousness of Christ that DAVID accurately describes in Romans 4.....and we both know who would lead a man to say what you said in the bolded....

I do believe in words said from the heart towards God

I said those words knowing there was nothing I could do to attain salvation, believing that Jesus did it all on my behalf.

I said those words in sincerity and I was born again from above.

God does not save those who are trying to save themselves.....this is the first rule of entering through the narrow gate,

die to self (self-effort)

So what He demands....... is that you stop trying to save yourself........ and believe in the work He has done on your behalf

Woe, that one is new, nope.

It's good to know it is all a farce, with the mighty failures wearing Jesus armour, destined for heaven
while lost in sin and rebellion, and the world though lost, is forgiven, but thrown into hell because
they did not read the bible enough....Ironic, one flash of faith as a kid, and they would have been ok.

This is all so confused, the Father of lies must be in involved. Considering the intentions, you get.

I mean how religious do you need to be to be saved? One altar call, a week in church,a year, a decade?
How much money given, or nice things said? I want to know, because boy hell is one place to avoid
and God is no joker, and all my sin needs to be worked through. But hey, you believe in just a few words,
job done. But these words? In public, or private, off the cuff or said with a gruff voice........

Joking apart, God demands my life, to die to self, to live to Christ.
Not surprising little comes out of these people who fake faith.

Again I state...Anyone who states salvation can be lost, or must be maintained, kept or embellished by works for salvation teaches a works based ideology.....end of story....ADD anything to the work of Christ and faith = a works based false gospel...end of story......
From the book Pilgrim's Progress, I read this book as a new born Christian and I think it has made a positive impact on my Christian life today, at least my wife thinks it has....:)

[h=1]The Pilgrim's Progress Quotes
By John Bunyan[/h]Quote:
“God's grace is the most incredible and insurmountable truth ever to be revealed to the human heart, which is why God has given us His Holy Spirit to superintend the process of more fully revealing the majesty of the work done on our behalf by our Savior. He teaches us to first cling to, and then enables us to adore with the faith He so graciously supplies, the mercy of God. This mercy has its cause and effect in the work of Jesus on the cross.

“Not that the heart can be good without knowledge, for without knowledge the heart is empty. But there are two kinds of knowledge: the first is alone in its bare speculation of things, and the second is accompanied by the grace of faith and love, which causes a man to do the will of God from the heart."

“Mr. Worldly-Wiseman is not an ancient relic of the past. He is everywhere today, disguising his heresy and error by proclaiming the gospel of contentment and peace achieved by self-satisfaction and works. If he mentions Christ, it is not as the Savior who took our place, but as a good example of an exemplary life. Do we need a good example to rescue us, or do we need a Savior?"

“The law, instead of cleansing the heart from sin, doth revive it, put strength into, and increase it in the soul, even as it doth discover and forbid it, for it doth not give power to subdue.”

Hi VCO, you need to repeat this more than a few times to the folks on this thread that admire how good their works are and how pleased Jesus will be when they stand before Him.

Notice to this thread, Loveme1 is on my ignore list. Her post are frequently pointing critical fingers at someone and the proof text's she uses are not edifying to the body of Christ. Her theology is self-centered as is her screen name.
The rest is your opinion, I mind not.. but my name does not mean what you state it means.. it is like me concluding you talk Truth by you username....

What is amazing is the numbers never change......
Like they are caught in a time warp.

But then without life and the Holy Spirit what would you expect.!!!!

Only GOD knows the outcome of all such behaviour.. we must love and be patient knowing that Truth and love go hand in hand..

Our beliefs differ but why the malice and bearing false witness? It is sad but the goodness of GOD always remains.

The power of birth, death and resurrection is GOD and nothing is impossible for Him.

If we are set free to love and serve then you bet He is the power to guide us into righteousness.

The Lord is leading His sheep on the Path of Righteousness restoring their souls..

The Bible teaches it is nature of the flesh to sin.. so the Spirit is given to allow us to walk Therin.

Grow in Grace and knowledge of Christ.

2 Peter 3

14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16As also in all hisepistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they doalso the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18But grow in grace, and inthe knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Here we have the real issue.
Ofcourse as a sinner I cannot stand boldly before the throne of grace.
But think about this a moment. When an unclean vessel is cleansed, it is no longer sinful
or impure, it is perfect, holy and acceptable. Sin is not covered, and if uncovered would
be open and visible. It is gone, no more.

So the blood of Christ washes us clean. Which part of washing you clean do you not get?
You literally do not believe a cleansed believer can stand before the throne of grace.
1. They are a new creation
2. Christ has purified and cleansed them
3. Love beats in their heart
4. They are forgiven and no longer a slave to sin

The truth is many do not have the faith to believe God has actually done the work of
cleansing. They know problems in their life, and they are harder on themselves than
God is.

But listen my friends to what we are as humans. We exist one action at a time.
Sinful actions depress us and remind us how easily we react in ways we wished we did not.
If we are free from them, we live in fear this is not actually true, we will get caught out.

Our view of walking with Jesus is we will never have an issue or stumble. Jesus never said
that or God. Why do you think there is sacrifice in the temple day and night, continual offering
and prayers for forgiveness. It is a cleansing and transforming process, which works one step
at a time as we grow in the grace and love of Christ. God really does know and care.

This is why He uses words like, learn, listen, follow, persever, have patience, endurance,
faithfulness, self control. These are all actions of the will and the heart.

And to the rebellious if the Lord himself came down face to face and said the same things
the reaction would be the same. They would reject these words because the problem is
with the heart, not their understanding. Without a heart change they are blind, deaf and
dumb.

And dc claims that by holding to this truth in scripture I am satanic.
God help his soul.

It is believing unto the saving of our souls.. no credit to the believer.. all credit to Heavenly Father and Our Messiah.

The Bible teaches us that those who believe are moved to do..

So the Messiah teaches us:

Matthew 5

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Do I believe Him if I say no can do Lord? Certainly not... set your heart on His Word.. And see the power of GOD at work through Christ in us.. all our Hope on His Glorious Power... all our thanks to GOD so Gracious toward us...

Sharing to Love, Trust and Obey.... should not offend the Children of GOD.

im warmed and encouraged by so many believers.. seeing the power of GOD working in their lives.

i marvel at Rosemary and am reminded of that time in my life.. a babe in Christ that is listening to the Holy Spirit and refusing anything contrawise yet drawing on the love of others. Rosemary I hope you don't mind me mentioning you openly.. I mean only good.

Peace and love to you all.

There is a traditional phrase used in the prayer of humble access
We do not presume to come to this thy Table (O merciful Lord) trusting in our own righteousness, but in thy manifold and great mercies. We be not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under thy Table. But thou art the same Lord, whose property is always to have mercy: Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the Flesh of thy dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his Blood, in these holy Mysteries, that we may continually dwell in him, and he in us, that our sinful bodies may be made clean by his Body, and our souls washed through his most precious Blood. Amen.

Now as cleansed, forgiven people, it is not our behaviour that makes us pure
but Christs cleansing blood and our faith that has meant it is applied to our lives.

The lie is to claim standing before God is because of our righteousness.
The truth is we stand because Christ has put us there, we do not deserve it
we are the work of His hands.

So easily the enemy will twist the eternal truths to bring fear and condemnation.
Why would a cleansed people need another covering of Christs righteousness, when
there is no sin left to cover, except to demonstrate how miss guided and without
faith many are.

Our works in Christ are Christs work in us, not our own. We are one with Christ,
united, a whole, in heart, mind and spirit.

Emotionally we disbelieve so easily.
My friends, I want you to understand how fragile we are.
I drive a car well, have very few mistakes and accidents. Occasionally I make one
big mistake. And after that my driving is stressful and jumpy. How can I trust what
I am doing?

We do the same in Christ. We think we have it, things go wrong, we get shaken up,
and all our confidence and assurance drains away. But the truth is one situation impacted
us, but is now resolved. Everything else is still there, as good as ever. But it is hard to
realise only by Gods grace do we walk well, only under His redeeming love can we do anything.

We are a body, and we need each other, not a bit, but as much as we need an arm or a leg.
Learning to love each other, forgive, accept, encourage, be there, is what being in Christ is
all about. This is His body, so learn how to be part of the Kingdom, because it is this group
with which you will spend eternity, Halleluyah

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
1 Tim 2:8

These two verses imply one thing. We are cleansed, righteous and holy.

If you were a jew at the time of the temple. the priests washed and purified were deemed
holy. So much so, they were careful to stay undefiled because purification took days.
It is why they did not enter into the palace when asking for the death of Jesus,
because the sabbath was coming.

This idea of being Holy, acceptable was imprinted on their minds.
What is imprinted on our minds is how big a failure we are, lost and burdened in sin,
so easily broken and led astray. But in Christ this need not be so.

But you need to learn and listen, exercise will, control, focus.
So many jokes through the generations is you cannot take a sinner, lost empty and
driven just by carnal passions and teach them how to live a good life.

It is what people referred to as culture, and what led into the great world wars with
the idea we would never have a war like this ever again.

In part they were right. But machines and automation had created such a beast, anything
was now possible, so the normal constraints on the individual or group no longer existed.
One person could kill 100,000 people with the press of one button.

These were good people following the Lord. Now with wealth, security, as a culture we have
left these sentiments far behind, and now an injustice is used to call for the abolition of any
morality or focus on walking in Jesus ways. You can see how far the rot has come, now even
to talk about the glorious ways of the Lord is condemnation for some.

Hi loveme1...I am just going through the post this afternoon, I have stopped to comment on yours because you are addressing me...I do not mind you using me as an example because all the glory goes to God \o/...I am coming to realize that through the Holy Spirit that the Lord loves a gentle spirit, it is pleasing to Him:), the Lord is showing me that not everything I see or read needs my opinion unless I am moved by Him to speak...This is a great lesson that He is teaching me, I was cowering in fear to post at certain times what I am being shown, PeterJens said yesterday I think that I should not hide in the dark and it is true, I don`t like confrontation at the best of times, but I know that the Lord will give me His peace to post and not just post for the sake of it to back bite because I don`t like what the other person has wrote, I think self control is one of the hardest fruit to abide by because it restrains us and puts a guard over our mouth, unless we are not walking in the Holy Spirit, then all things get said from the flesh...xox...I need His direction in a place like CC, things are never what they always seems, we must guard our hearts against the enemy that shows himself as a false light, God watch over us all...In His name I pray Amen...xox...

Have faith in God, not in yourself or your works....
Amen.

Now I have yet to meet someone who feels they are justified before God by themselves,
or their works.

I think people cannot believe Christ has made them clean. Like a kid taken in from the playground
and cleaned up, they might be clean, but they would rather get out there and get all messed up
again.

It is this desire that is the problem.

And the reason people hate this message, is because they refuse to resolve the issues in their
life, and think they can carry on unresolved because God still loves them.

And the reason they cannot talk about it, because it will force them to face where they really
are, and that is simply too much. So it has never been about theology, it has always been about
cleansing ones heart through the love of Christ and being open and honest.

What is so strange is giving up pretending is so easy, and just starting to be real.
God can then start the work of building you into a redeemed child of God.

But these 100% church goers all their lives have it so hard to admit they are really
at the back of the queue and just know what faith they have does not work.

you yourself have started a thread which you titled ' faith & works are two sides of the same coin of salvation ' and also ' we get to Heaven because we are holy' . these are your words in your threads.

so, based on your first sentence, you have not met yourself??
