Bro......you need to study more with all due respect....

David ruled circa 1000 B.C

Nineveh was the capitol of Assyria which destroyed the Northern Kingdom of Israel in 721 B.C. some 250 years or so AFTER the death of David

The Babylonians conquered Assyria LONG after David was dead and buried...............which included the razing of Nineveh and destruction of Nineveh in 612 B.C.

Do the math and take some time to study bro.
look someone said mentioning no names that nineveh was destroyed around the days of jonah... my reply was no i dont think it till around the days of david ... well not far of only by 2 hundred years all tho i guess its still the days of david untill the mesiah came ?

a generation later - God showed mercy to them, which made Jonah angry to the point that he'd rather die than see that happen. he disagreed with God about who mercy should be shown to, but he knew that God's grace, lovingkindness and mercy is everlasting - as Ariel quoted a few posts above.

so ((side note)) - Christ at Gethsemane. He prays, if it be the Father's will, let the cup pass - but His will be done. is this an argument in the middle of the godhead? is God divided? i've been thinking about this: God is perfectly holy and just, and He is also perfectly graceful and abounding in faithful love. the Father is not willing that any should perish, but has put all under sin so that all may receive mercy. Christ will come again in all righteous judgement, and the Father calls judgement His "
strange work" ((re: Isaiah 28:21)).
so the cup - is it the Father's mercy? if so is Jesus expressing His zeal for righteousness by asking that if it is in His will, it pass from Him? but nevertheless, the Father's will is done - and through Christ mercy may be shown to all who put their hope in Him. but the Father is holy & just, and through Christ also His perfect judgement will be done, reconciling all things in Himself, being all-in-all.
IOW, there at Gethsemane are we seeing mercy covering over judgement, the grace of God removing the condemnation of the Law, by the Father's will being done, and the cup of Christ being taken in full? because what would have happened if that cup had passed?
but it's not "
an argument" - His mercy prevails; He is faithful, and "nevertheless, thy will be done"

((one work))

i see it as "so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus".

how often i come back to that verse. lol

God does not give second chances. Adam and Eve ate by doing the good pleasure of another will and died. He gives eternal life the first time he gives us the hearing of is faith our first love by which we can know him who has no form .

There is no deserving mercy we fear Him because with Him there is forgiveness without him there is no grace. He either redeems us frpm all of our iniquities or he forgives nothing

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. Psa 130:1

How many is all?
according to scripture God clothed adam and eve after they sinned ?

Matthew 17:3

Matthew 17:3New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus
And I see you disregard the bible, truth and context in pride to just prove a non-existent point......MOSES did NOT make it into the PROMISE LAND but DIED under the LAW having viewed the LAND of PROMISE from a MOUNTAIN TOP......DO YOU EVER acknowledge the truth without kicking.......??

The MOUNT of TRANSFIGURATION has ZERO to do with the biblical reference I MADE......

So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.—Deuteronomy 34:5-6.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. After you have seen it, you will also be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was. For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Once again, define believe.
The demons believe He is who He said He is, they knew it for a fact. They know and believe He was raised on the third day. They know what is going to happen, just as He said it will - (did you come to torment us before the time?)

If you believe Him, you will do one of two things:
1. You will do all He said or,
2. You will see that you don't and will ask for the help you need.

Aren't we constantly doing these two things as He shows us what our heart is up to in matters? Who hasn't struggled with belief? Who hasn't examined the storing of treasure on earth against all He told us? Who hasn't had their life fall apart or implode at some point and asked, where ARE You, Lord??

Is believing simple? There are a lot of hindrances (the world and our own self for two) to the obedience of faith. Try not storing treasure on earth and wait to hear your own family calling you a fool and the entire world siding with them. Then wait and hear the Christians you know saying you're a fool too!
define, reading other peoples stories, of what god told them to do. or write in the bible.

listening to god takes, the rhema word, not the logos word. when you know the difference, you mite, gain the basic concept.

that s why they wrote, an account of there life, and there achievements, and what god told them to do. (in the bible)

when did he tell you, to do the same things, is a bigger question you need to define.

Are you giving your approval of necromancy seeking after disembodied workers with familiar spirits or what the Catholics call patron saints ? That was a parable exalting.. "all things written in the law and the prophets" as the authority of God . Those guys are dead asleep and will be awoken by the same voice of Christ that all will hear in the twinkling of the eye on the last day...the wake up call... arise and receive your promise.

through who s name , etc

42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.43 To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."Acts 10

through who s son.

For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. john 3

Another simple truth for sure............thanks God for eternal salvation that cannot be lost or forfeit by what we do or do not do......
New International Version 1984 Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

.30 But what does the Scripture say? "Cast out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman shall not inherit with the son of the free woman."31 So, brothers, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman.Galatians 4

For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

I would offer it had everything to do with that parable, the transfiguration. Moses who was used to represent the law of God is shown not entering the Promised Land till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Moses added to a law as a law of his own .It can be seen in the parable of the Rock, representing Christ and rebellion thirsting for the living water of the word the gospel of our salvation , the staff that produced almonds the sign to rebellious , the law strikes Christ as the father bruises the son for our iniquities once... not over and over crucifying Christ again and again , that would be double jeopardy. Striking Christ once was the commandment

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 5:17

context jesus is alive and in heaven.

why do you, think they wrote an account about pentecoste .

24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith

oops the scriptures prove you wrong.

Law and grace debate was THE big topic in Pauls establishment of the gospel and the church, it will be until the end. The law gives power to satan (the accuser) and he knows that better than anyone.

A vision is like a shadow. no substance. Moses and Elijah, who represent the living word of God where not literally there. Seeking them as if they were literaly there constitudes necromancy.

Their corrupted flesh like all flesh decayed and returned to the lifeless spiritless dust it was formed of . Those saints did not receive the promise of their new bodies. That will occur on the last day, the day of the Lord, in the twinkling of the eye.
