Good set of related verses. It is sadly a subject that is plagued with Theories basically taken from 2 unrelated verses in scripture and an apocryphal (supposed/fake) book of Enoch.

Ideas that God punishes mankind for angels sin and so on, just lack logic never mind scriptural origins.

yes I agree. Angels are spiritual beings who are ministers of those who inherit salvation , the term “sons of God” is aboit the inheritance of promise we learn so often about in the scriptures

I don’t think spirit can physically breed with flesh and create children , I also believe the nephilim were “ giants “ and men of great renown in the same sense Noah , Moses , Elijah ect who came afterwards

“There were giants in the earth in those days;

and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

the children produced there are men of great renown mighty men , after all th he lives nearly a millennium , I believe mankind has fallen quite far from what we were created to be

giants in this verse doesn’t make me think it’s a reference to the children produced from the sons of God and daughters of men being literal giant monsters or anything I think it’s more spiritual giants among men or men who God has close relationships with that we aren’t necessarily made aware of other than Enoch himself who seems a giant compared to me

There were two cultures on Earth at that time. It makes sense that the daughters of men would only know their culture and the sons of God would only know their culture. Their children on the other hand would be familiar with the entire world.
