Psalm 22 has everything to do with the opening post. It was David who said vs1 in the first place but of course you don't know why. Again, David was being hunted down by Saul which is why he said at vs11, "Be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help."

Vs12, "Many bulls have surrounded me; strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. vs13, They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and roaring lion. Vs14, I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me."

Jumping down to vs19, "But Thou O Lord, be not far off; O Thou my help, hasten to my assistance. Vs20 Deliver my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog." Now, look what David says starting at v22-23. Then what he says at vs24, "For He/God HAS NOT DESPISED nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard." At vs25 again David prasies the Lord for not forsaking him.

You see nehemiah6, the Lord God did not forsake David nor did God forsake His only begotten Son on that cross. The disciples forsook Jesus but not His Father. This is why I brought up John 16:32 where Jesus already knew they would run to their own houses. And this is why at 2 Corinthains 5:19 says, "namely, that GOD WAS IN CHRIST RECONCILLING THE WORLD TO HIMSELF."

You glossed over this verse but were quick to quot 2 Corinthians 5:21, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf." What does that mean to you? Explain it to all of us here. You see, Jesus was not forsaken by His Father just like God did not forsake King David. David and Jesus both "felt" they were forsaken.

Have you ever been in a situation and ask God in your heart, "please get me out of this mess?" I have been, many times when I was in Vietnam is January of 1968 during the Tet offensive. Do you have any idea of how many times (I) we soldiers were inches away from death crying out to the Lord to deliver us? And guess what, here I am writing this to you and your telling me I'm off topic. Be thankful you even wake up in the morning and have the honor of telling others about Jesus Christ. :eek:

Christ is 100% in control, 100% aware, 100% omnipotent and 100% God enfleshed on the cross.

He is not confused, not helpless, not lost, not deceived, not broken, not in doubt, not ignorant, not delirious, not mistaken, not bewildered.
Jesus repeatedly stated that all He said and did was for our benefit :)

Psalm 22 has everything to do with the opening post.
But the OP has nothing to do with David and Saul. And no matter how hard you try, you cannot apply this Psalm to David, since it is prophetic and Messianic. So let's take a closer look since you think I have not addressed the issue:

1
(To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.)

THE WORDS OF CHRIST ON THE CROSS IN HIS AGONY AND HIS ANGUISHED THOUGHTS
1. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

PRAISES TO GOD WHILE CHRIST'S ENEMIES SAID HE TRUSTED IN GOD, LET HIM DELIVER HIM
3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

CHRIST WAS DESPISED AND MOCKED AS HE HUNG ON THE CROSS
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

CHRIST WAS SUBMISSIVE TO THE FATHER FROM HIS MOTHER'S WOMB
9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

CHRIST WAS SURROUNDED BY HIS ENEMIES AROUND THE CROSS
11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

CHRIST'S BLOOD POURED OUT LIKE WATER AND HIS BONES WERE OUT OF JOINT
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

CHRIST SURROUNDED BY GENTILE SOLDIERS AND WICKED JEWS
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

ROMAN SOLDIERS CAST LOTS FOR THE ROBE OF CHRIST
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

CHRIST WOULD BE DELIVERED FROM HIS ENEMIES SHORTLY
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

CHRIST ANTICIPATES HIS VICTORY AT THE CROSS AND IN HIS RESURRECTION
22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

THE PSALMIST EXHORTS BELIEVING ISRAEL TO PRAISE GOD FOR THIS
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

THE EARTH'S INHABITANTS WILL WORSHIP GOD BECAUSE OF CHRIST'S VICTORY
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

CHRIST WILL BE SERVED BY THOSE WHOM HE HAS REDEEMED
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Been away for a while, But it was interesting how people have responded.
Jesus is God. No doubt.
Jesus was the lamb of God which makes Jesus our sin offering.
People are debating if the Father and Jesus were separated from each other.

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Heb 9:23,24,25... 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Bear the sins, yours and mine included. which is good news because sin = death, eternal death.
Rom_5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom_5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
We can't have eternal life unless our sins are paid in full,.... unless God is unjust that is?. If God is Just, which He is, our sins are paid for and we can receive the gift of eternal life as a result.
Sin separates us from God. Sin is what killed Jesus because our sins were put on Him and and all the results of sin were placed on Jesus at that time, including separation from the Father. This makes Jesus so beautiful because this was so much more than just a physical death. The pain of being separated from the Father was so deep, which makes His love for you and me so much deeper.

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of Myself:
I have power to lay it down, and have power to take it again
(John 10:18)
nothing killed Christ. Jesus Himself lays down His own life.

how does one take up their own life after they have laid it down?

Which is not made after the Law of the carnal commandment,
but after the power of the endless life.
(Hebrews 7:16)
i guess that's something you can do when you have an indestructible life . .

And finally Jesus said, it is done.
I think this sentence here has two meanings.
1. The matter of redemption has become true.
2. All the people were saved.

Aba-daddy
Aba-daddy

Jesus always spoke with his father and more did so on the stake,

The father did not reply the first aba-daddy,
That is why when the line was reestablished after his second call aba-daddy Jesus asked why he did not reply.

Why did the Father forsake Jesus at that time?
Was it just a false felling that Jesus felt.
Was Jesus really seperated from the Father because of death or was our sin being laid on Jesus.
???
MATT 27.46
this is evidence of God's love for us

Jesus knew beforehand what he will endure for us

Jesus felt the separation, so he knows what it's like for Christians to doubt salvation

considering that Jesus felt the separation, while he knows that he's about to die, and he know full well what hell is like, yet loves us so much that Jesus willingly go through fears of hell for us

and the sense of separation comes from bearing all the weight of sin upon him, like a wall that can prove that God exist, even if the wall separates

let's meditate on God's love

I agree with all this, but there is a bit easier way to say it in my opinion, but God crushed Jesus for our iniquity, Isaiah 53 tells us pretty clearly. Here is 53:1-11
1Who has believed what he has heard from us?a
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
3He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;e
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.

10Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him;
he has put him to grief;g
when his soul makes an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.

So the "forsaking", as I understand it was Gods righteous wrath being exhausted on His Sons perfect, and guiltless Spirit, so we might might be justly forgiven and reconnected to the Father as we were created to be, spiritually resurrected and reconciled to Him because Jesus took our punishment. Jesus took the punishment we couldn't pay with our already fallen, dead spirit selves. This "spiritual crushing", was the price we could never pay, the price Jesus was not only willing to lay down His life to fulfill, but the Father was also willing to pour out on His Son, with who He was well pleased, so we might be called His children again, and it pleased Him to do so on all fronts for His glory and kingdom. Praise our KING!!!!! Jesus!!!

I think people forget

Physical death was a result of sin

But spiritual death was the penalty of sin

Jesus died spiritually on that cross. For our sin, The penalty of sin was paid BEFORE jesus died physically. For he said “it is finished” or literally in the greek “paid in full”

If Jesus did not die spiritually (separation from the father and spirit) we are still dead in our sin.
