Who do you think the ones taken are? Is being taken a good thing or a bad thing?
It's not a good thing in my estimation!!

Noah was left the wicked was taken;
Joshua and Israel were left wicked taken;.
Lot left, wicked taken;.
Moses and Israel left and wicked taken;

The Jews had become God's enemy, this is who the dead body was!?

In my view the dead body of Christ (not his literal body) is word of God. That is the BREAD of life, that is what Christ meant when he said that we as believers MUST EAT his flesh.
"eating his flesh" means that we must remain in his creation...there are other creations but they are false creations. But the creation where Christ permeates and fills the whole of creation is the only true creation. So I can eat chicken or steak or shrimp and if this meat is from the true creation I am "eating his flesh".

So reading this in context, is this not the Dead body in Adam?! Putting away old covenant Israel; God divorcing His wife, having her stoned to death, etc...... Vs what is coming shortly, the body of Christ Jesus the 2nd Adam; New covenant Israel, the bride of Christ!?!

Where were the vultures or eagles gathered? Around Jerusalem and the land of Israel, right! The eagles is a word play for what was atop the Roman standard when 1 to 3 million Jews lost their life's in the 1st Holocaust. ie 67 -73ad
Greetings ProphetExcalibur,

Below is what Jesus was speaking about when He said, "wherever the carcass (dead body) is there will the vultures/birds gather:

"And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.” - Rev.19:17-18

The above event takes place as Jesus is returning to the earth to end the age. The "one taken" group are being compared to those who were "taken" in the flood, therefore the comparison is wicked to wicked. When Jesus said "one will be taken and the other left," the disciples said, "where, Lord?" That is, where are they going to be taken.

When Jesus returns to the earth, He sends out His angels who will go throughout the earth and first collect the weeds/ones taken (Matt.13:30), where at which time they will be brought to the area of Armageddon where they will be killed by that double-edged sword which proceeds from the Lord's mouth. Then the those vultures/birds that the angel will have gathered will gorge themselves on their flesh - Rev.19:17-18, 21

I just noticed I have not chimed in on this thread. I read the first page and the last two, to get a feel. I like Noose's response in post #8, quoted below:
If you see vultures you know there's a dead body around. You don't have to physically see it but the knowledge of times is what Jesus was talking about here. End times has some indicators that will let people know it is end times, it had nothing to do with rapture. You don't have to see people flying but thou shall know it is end times but only if you are keen.
They are simply taken to their deaths, and vultures feasting on them.

Now for this:

It really amazes me the detail we can imagine from Revelation's somewhat obscure scene definitions. I feel for you pre and mid-trib rapture proponents. How are you going to feel when the tribulation is coming upon you? Cannot God protect His people while leaving them on earth? Sure He can, God can do anything. 3spin-grin.gif

Therefore that those who are left are more blessed than those who have died.
That is half correct in that, there will be both the righteous and the wicked who will have made it alive through the entire tribulation period. Those who make it through who rejected Jesus, worshiped the beast, his image and received his mark, are the "one taken" group and who will be killed by that double-edged sword. The righteous who are the wheat, will be those who will have believed in Jesus and kept their testimony of Him and the word of God. And who will not have worshiped the beast, his image, nor received his mark. These are those who will enter into the millennial kingdom and will repopulated it.

Those who are alive and taken (by the angels), are the weeds/wicked

Those who are left, are the wheat/righteous

I understand the text to mean that they were taken by the military of Rome to be support or to fight for Rome.

The eating the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, (the renown) like King David , or drinking the blood is a metaphor used in parables the signified language of God to represent the unseen work of God pouring out His Spirit life represented by water (the gospel) as if it was literal blood. . in jeopardy of Christ's own spirit life.

Mighty men of renown never points toward the evils of walking by sight after the things seen, the temporal. But rather Faith (Christ's) that come from hearing God not seen must be mixed if we are the hear the understanding of the parable. .

2 Samuel 23:16-17 King James Version (KJV) And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water (to represent literal blood) out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord. And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood (water) of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men. And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

Three according to the signified tongue of God denotes the end of the matter . The same applies to white horses they never represent walking by sight. It represent the unseen rightousness of Christ

The wise virgins were ready to go,not stay.
The foolish stayed.
The Lord left us with a prophetic declaration at the end of the bible.

A bride and groom declaration.

"...the Spirit and the BRIDE say ,come Lord Jesus,"

Only the bride prays that and hopes that, and awaits being taken .

The rest will deal with the antichrist.

It is your choice.

Noah went over a mile into the heavens.
He and his family were taken high into the heavens, above the earth.
Kinda like the rapture.
The ark is a type of heaven.
Noah left and returned to earth after the judgement.

He left and returned.
Same with the bride at the pretrib rapture.

Interesting thought, I guess I can see that in a historical account?
Jesus put it into context.
Mat 24
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
100% preflood setting....100%

So we are in a preflood setting with noah.

Lets read on

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh

PREJUDGEMENT rapture.
The one taken setting is PREJUDGEMENT.

Taken prejudgement (BEFORE THE FLOOD)
Then,to top it off no less than three admonitions to watch and be ready
PREJUDGEMENT.

Crystal clear.

The underlined and italicized part, isn't it referring to the ones that weren't with Noah in the ark and were taken away by the water perishing? Cause clearly they were the ones drinking and marrying etc

Yes unclean birds they devour flesh and blood just like unclean beast a Lion used to signify unbelief. flesh and blood. Unconverted mankind.

Isaiah 34:15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

Job 30:28-30 King James Version (KJV) I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation. I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Its a loving warning not to wrestle against flesh and blood the things seen the temporal. The weapons of are warfare are not carnal but a love generated from above. It works to accomplish the good pleasure of His will.

Galatians 5:14-16 King James Version (KJV) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

"During the period of the Imperial Roman Army (30 B.C. – 284 AD) conscription was done away with almost completely and replaced with a force that was entirely volunteers. Now the volunteers served a mandatory 20 years but many would stay in the army for 30 to 40 years. The number of volunteers meant that conscription was only needed in times of emergency. During this period the legion was flanked by an auxilia, troops that were drawn from imperial subjects who did not have Roman citizenship. They volunteered for a 25 year term. This continued until 212 when all imperial subjects were granted citizenship. By 284 AD things changed yet again and regular conscription was once again enforced to populate the legion. Barbarian volunteers were accepted once again and now soldiers became 25 year professionals which kept the army well supplied. Now there were not even separate units for citizens and non-citizens all the units were intermixed. " https://historycollection.co/ten-things-not-know-roman-legions/

The context is all 100% prejudgement.

Those saying the "one taken, one left" is during/close to the end,of the gt. is not thoroughly thought out

The context debunks that.
