yes-- I think it needs to be enabled by individual members--

Go to your profile by clicking your username/avatar and the 'your account' tab at the top of page... then on the sidebar-- "Preferences"

Then you can scroll down to where you can select Bible Version Preferences (I chose NIV but the system might override to ESV)

That was for the chat rooms. This Logos software was something Tracy must have enabled/installed to the site on March 11, 2025.

That's interesting! On March 11 of this year, a change was introduced that converted normal verse citations to links opening the Logos software. This is great for those who do not want to look up a verse, and I can understand that. But for me, it has messed up thousands of posts where I had the verse citation under a panel in text that I made the same colour as the board, making it essentially invisible, so something would show up in my post stream, as just an image shows nothing in the post stream except for the fact that a post was made. So not only has it messed up thousands of my posts, but now I also have to rewrite the text document where I keep a record of my urls. LOL.
I have often seen posts from you where i see nothing... No text.. No pictures.. Nothing..

I thought it may have been a propblem with your graphics, like the software you use to make your art..

In any case i now see your post and can see the pretty art underneath it saying ""Embrace Gods grace and Rejoice in His everlasting Mercy and Love"" (y)

"Embrace Gods grace and Rejoice in His everlasting Mercy and Love" <= that graphic is my auto signature. What device are you using? The next time you see a post of mine with no text, try highlighting it. Ctrl A should do it. If it is a Scripture panel, it will show the text underneath it when highlighted. Now I try to remember to write it out in such a way that the software will not kick in and make my invisible text visible.

The software anyone uses to make a graphic would not play into it because only certain file formats
are allowed to be posted, and anything other than those extensions would simply be rejected and not
be allowed to post at all. Most of my files are saved and posted as png, and some (from the web, for
instance) would be a jpg. I have a few gif as well. Those are all allowable formats... PS I shrink my invisible text.

I ahve no idea where the hotlinks are to hover over but thanks for the ESV answer.. I enguiored because KJV translation is very different..

(John 1:4-5) "In him was life; and the life was the light of men. {5} And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
Ah.

You actually have one in your post. It's "John 1:4-5". I assume when you copy/paste verses, the hotlink for the verse comes with it. On my end they appear blue while the rest of the post is black.

Just hover over the verse reference and you'll see the whole verse and the version of the Bible used.

(Edit: Apparently I am late to the party. :) ) MrE for the win!

If you copy and paste a verse hot link into your post, it disables the Logos software, and hovering over the
link will not cause the verse to appear. In such a situation the link has to be actually clicked, and then a
new tab (unless you have your browser set up differently) will open to display the verse in question.

In order to eliminate copying hotlinks into your post, you must toggle off the BB code. That's the cog above message text box.

That removes all hidden code. You can then toggle it back on if you wish to insert your own links or add any other effect.
