Love is the key that unlocks sin. It is because of GOD's LOVE one can be Saved. Those who are in bondage of homosexuality need love yes but by was of Truth, it is Truth that sets one free. We can not sugar coat the homosexual act for it is not just a sin it is an abomination unto the LORD. This nature is a spiritual attack because we know GOD is a GOD who creates and we are made in HIS Image thus we are to create, thus Pleasing the LORD same sex is about pleasing self. In order to help one struggling with this sin nature first they must admit it is wrong and be willing to receive help. Next Prayer and Fasting this helps in Strengthening the spirit to overcome the flesh. Join up with those who won't judge them but love them through, Cast out the evil spirit and replace it with the HOLY SPIRIT. The True Washing of GOD Cleanses us spirituallly thus having a Renewed mind. It is awesome GOD has this on your heart. Many are dealing with this stronghold and are in desperate need of Deliverance.

Blessings!!!!!!!

So recently God jas been giving me this compassion for gay people. He has been leading me to videos, showing me how gay people can feel hopless and lonley in the church. I wanna start a civil discussion on how we can encourage our gay brothers and sisters. I also wanna talk about respectful and kind ways of reaching out to gay people who haven't found Christ.

RULES:

1) this is not an anti-gay thread. We all know same sex sex is a sin. This is an encouragement/loving discussion on hpw we can better serve gay people so no being mean.

2) not only should we respect gay people on here but also each other because this IS a sensitive topic and I think it needs to be handled with care.

I wanna say thank you in advance for taking part in this. :)

if you have to, maybe pray before posting. :)

Thanks!

I think we should love everyone. I think it's the acts that are a sin, not being gay.

Being gay is about the acts. That is what makes you gay.I understand you can be tempted without acting but you sould be moving away from being gay the closer you get to God.

You want a civil and encouring discussion? im afraid that might be hard from all the mean and judgemental comments on the gays I have seen here i am starting to think some christians enjoy criticizing the gays. Personally i dont judge a person from what they have done or what sin they struggle with its not my place to judge only to love and that whole righteous judging excuse is bologna

Sorry Blain, have to disagree on this one.We dont have to be mean to a gay person, nor hate them. But I'm so tired of hearing "its not my place to judge". God has already judged homosexuality as sin and perversion.I dont have to judge,He already has.If someone is struggling then we pray with and for them.Like we would anyone else struggling with a particular sin.

OK so then HOW do we love them? HOW do we approach them? We can't be like "Well you'll never get married and you'll be alone forever so good luck!" That's an awful idea! So what do we do then?

I think we tell them God loves them. That he sent His Son for them, and He gave His life.He wants them to repent of sin and stop sinning. He has a plan and a path for their lives and right now they are on the wrong path. And tell them that we will pray with and for them any time they are in need, day or night. Most people want to see someone saved, they just dont want to take the time to lead them to Christ and be there for that person.JMO

But telling them that would turn them off to the Gospel. Do you see my problem here? Damned if I do and damned if I don't (pardon the expression).

The Bible says...[h=3]1 Corinthians 1:18[/h]For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing...

The gospel is offensive to our sensibilities as human beings. There is no way to make the gospel inoffensive and yet still effective. No one wants to hear "you're a sinner", I dont.We don't want to hear "repent, stop sinning".We don't want to hear "take up your cross and follow Me".We don't want to hear about dying to self.We dont want to hear sin is death and leads us to hell. The gospel is an offense and a stumbling block. There is simply no way around it.There is no way to sugar coat sin.The gospel confronts our propensity to selfishness and sinfulness.Thats why Jesus message was so dynamic! Go and sin no more, and take up that cross and follow me.The gospel is free but costs us something, our lives. There is no way to confront sin yet not offend someone.Sorry.

My only post in this thread. In regard to #2 above, why not add a #3?

I am always amazed how many "christians" seem to think they can do the Holy Ghost's job better than he can.

Of the countless homosexuals I have shared the gospel with and lead to Christ, I have never once mentioned hell, SIN, punishment, judgement or any other Christian term to describe them.

If you actually talk to them in love and let the Holy Ghost guide he will tell you what you need to say and often times he gives revelation about why they are engaged in the lifestyle to begin with.

The actual percentage of gay men and lesbian women that are actually slaves to this lifestyle, because of complete perversion are quite low.

Research shows us that the larger percentage of men and women were often times terribly sexually abused and later sex trafficked and/or in homes that had huge occult leanings.

We have found that perfect love reaches them every time...and listening to the Holy Ghost and letting him be your guide is better than getting all militant christian on people and telling what you think their SIN is.

Your "witness" for Christ should be reflected in your lifestyle and you should "share" the gospel in love.

The Holy Ghost is more than capable of turning hearts towards the goodness of God, which is his mercy and grace. If you have no grace or mercy in your tone or attitude, you will never win anyone to Jesus.

It's not what we think. It's what God says. False conversion happens without recognition of sin. Jesus started his ministry with the word repent. You can't repent unless you recognize you are a sinner.

In one to one sharing of the Gospel I have never been led by the Holy Ghost to mention anything about SIN or repenting....and watched many come to Christ...

I have preached repentance and SIN in pulpits and watched altars fill with people truly convicted by the Holy Ghost.

The BOdy of Christ loves stack ranking SIN like homosexuality becomes it deflects their own SIN and need for a savior. I see churches with people filled with the lust of Food, but you never hear it called SIN.

We see Christians drinking and getting drunk at home and in service the next day but we do not call it SIN

We see Christians in church and the only exercise they get is jumping to conclusions, running down other people and digging dirt on others, yet we do not call it SIN.

We see someone lost and engaging in same sex immorality and all heaven stops and hell comes out of you, because it is a SIN!

It is not your job to recognize sinners, it is your job to show the sinner Jesus and the Love of God....Just like he did in John 8....The pharisees drug a woman to Jesus pointing out her SIN and he correctly rebuked them, showed the woman grace and mercy and she repented.

We get into the ditch of error when we decide that it is our job to point out the SIN in others....

I am sure you're not saying we shouldnt mention sin.I can give a load of NT verses to the contrary. How can one know they are in sin if we dont mention the S word. Now if you are saying preach the truth in love,I get that. But to soft soap the message of the gospel is wrong. We are sinners,we need to know it,admit it,repent and sin no more.Simple message.Never changed since Jesus preached it.
