In Luke 17:21 Jesus told them the kingdom of God was in the midst of them why do you not agree?
“You” means inside the kingdom is internal to the person not every person.

In the next verse he says to his disciples that they would seek to see one of the days of the son of man and not see it, verse 22. Then he tells them that they will say there or here but he said to them not to go forth or follow,,,what do you think he meant?

I think verse 22 and 23 is talking about any time after His ascension. I think I know where your going with this though. So I’ll go ahead and get to the point.

Luk 17:24 (KJV) For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

I believe verse 24 is the coming of Christ at the resurrection. I also believe verse 23 is any time AFTER the resurrection.... So why would anybody be looking for Christ to return AFTER the resurrection.

Simple soandso. People back then were no different than people today. Some people understood those verses were talking about the resurrection and the invisible kingdom of heaven coming and some were like the people today that think those verses are the second advent.

You think the apostles/disciples thought or believed Jesus was going to die and then be resurrected?

Some probably did and some didn’t. I don’t what they believed prior to them receiving the Holy Spirit.

lol no I read your post and fully understand you see it spiritual. You said that it was but gave no scriptural explanation on how you determined this. I gave you the reasons as to why I cannot see it spiritual and so we at least understand that we see it differently so no had feelings. Anyway though I wish you well in it.
I see it as history. John wrote in symbolic terms to confuse those who were persecuting the church so as not to bring more punishment on them. Those 7 churches that John addressed would have known what those symbols stood for.

Every symbol pointed to Rome and the Caesars.

The women went to the tomb and thought the gardener moved the body,John 20:15
Thomas said he wouldn't believe it was Jesus unless he put his fingers in the nail holes/spear hole John 20:25
When they told the apostles they had seen Jesus after his death, they "it seemed to them as idle tales"Luke 24:11
Cleopas said that they (HAD TRUSTED) that he was to redeem Israel but he was dead three days, Luke 24:21
Peter said he was going back fishing, John 21:3
They thought they saw a spirit when Jesus came to them after his death Luke 24:37

ect.ect. if we look at all four Gospels after Jesus death it don't seem as though any of them thought Jesus was supposed to die and then be resurrected after three days.

I don’t think they knew a lot until the Holy Ghost came.

Then if the Jews revolted, refused to bow to Rome/Caesar and minted their own money then they did not worship Caesar or it's image. So who recieved the mark and worshiped the image from ad66-70?

Then in Matthew 24:3 how could they ask about the sign of his coming and be meaning "2nd coming" if they didn't think he was suppose to die? hint,,,,they were asking him about the sign of his coming to rule as king/Messiah in temple he just said not one stone would be left standing in. i.e coming as King/Messiah...(remember they didn't understand he would die and be resurrected)

I think it’s because Jesus told them he was coming in chapter 10.

Mat 10:23 (KJV) But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

See Mark 9:30-32 they didn't understand him and were afraid to ask. Jesus knew this and said they couldn't bare them yet John 16:12,,,

Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

I am outside the camps. What I'm going to ask you might sound as if I agree with all of one camp but I can assure you I don't but as it seems instead we all might have different peaces of understanding. If we all loose the battle in understanding the eschatology stuff then we all loose together. Some how I hope we set our differences aside and all win together,I cant imagine winning without any of you.

That said though,,,when they went over every city did they preach the death burial and ressurection of Jesus Christ?

Amen bro. I’m not in any camp anymore, I just try to read and let the word say what it says.

No I don’t think think they preached the death burial and resurrection. I think they preached the same message that John the Baptist preached. Number one repent. Two the kingdom of heaven is here. I think that meant the prophecies of the Old Testament we’re now being fulfilled.

Mat 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
