The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Paul reminds the Philippians, and all of us who have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit would teach us today, that only those who are trusting in Christ and His atoning work at Calvary which He carried out in His own flesh (Romans 8:30), are those who are worshipping God in the Spirit. For worship to be accepted by the only True God, it must be from the heart (Romans 10:10), and in Truth which points to Christ and His atoning sacrifice, and in Spirit (John 4:23-24), which speaks only of those who are “In” the Spirit, and that is limited to those in whom the Spirit of God dwells (Romans 8:9), which are those who are born again.
The false teachers that Paul warns about are following Satan, for his ministry is always THE LIE of self transformation (Genesis 3:1-5, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15). That is why false doctrine is more than that which is only of the flesh, but it is also backed by seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1). We are told and actually commanded by God as His people not to have any confidence in the flesh, which means no high self esteem, but rather only a high Christ esteem through faith in what He did IN HIS FLESH for us on the cross (Romans 8:3-4).

Your Word for Today

“and it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the Children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month (May), that he began to build the House of the LORD (I Ki. 6:1).

As the Tabernacle in every aspect of its structure presented Christ in His Atoning, Mediatorial, and Intercessory Work, likewise, the Temple did the same, but with one difference. Just as every whit of the Tabernacle symbolized the glories attaching to Christ in His First Advent, so all the dazzling splendor of the Temple prefigured the glories of His Second Advent. Both buildings were designed by God; nothing was left to the religious feeling, taste, or imagination of Moses, David, or Solomon (Heb. 8:5; I Chron. 28:19).

The Temple was built of stone, cedar, cypress, olivewood, and gold. The instruments of its service were largely copper. These materials set forth the Deity, the precious and sinless humanity, and the strength, the grace, and the governmental Power of Christ.

As this Temple was built without outward noise, meaning “there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building” (6:7), so was Christ, the True Temple, prepared of God without observation (Lk. 17:20; Heb. 10:5). In the Tabernacle, there was a Veil between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies; however, no Veil is mentioned in the Temple. The figure here is not that of access to God, as was the Tabernacle, but of dwelling with God. There were folding doors which opened; for Millennial fellowship will be real and partial. Full fellowship will only be enjoyed in the new Heavens and the new Earth.

The Cherubim symbolized Judgment. Their wings met over the blood-sprinkled Mercy Seat and reached to either extremity of the Most Holy Place. In fact, the Most Holy Place was 30 feet wide, 30 feet long, and 30 feet high (6:20). The Great Brazen Altar (II Chron., Chpt. 4) also was 30 feet square; for Atonement and Glory are one. In other words, as great as the Throne of God, of which the Holy of Holies was a type, is the Redemption of God, symbolized by the Brazen Altar.

This is the reason the conversation on the Mount of Transfiguration was about the decease of Christ which He should accomplish at Jerusalem (Lk. 9:31). Atonement, it must ever be understood, is the theology of Heaven, and the entrance into Heaven is gained only by acceptance of the Atonement. Otherwise, the Holy Spirit will bar all entrance (Eph. 2:18).

The Cherubim of Gold, attached to the Mercy Seat and made of the same mass of gold, looked downward upon the sprinkled blood; the Cherubim made of olive wood, which filled the Holy of Holies in the Temple, looked outward. This refers to the fact that God’s Perfect Judgments will, in the Millennium, be enabled to look out from Calvary upon a kingdom wherein shall dwell Righteousness. This now is not possible, for Righteousness retreated to Heaven when Christ went back to the Father (Jn. 16:10).

But Jesus is coming back. He will establish a Kingdom which will incorporate the entirety of the world, of which Solomon’s Temple was a forepicture.”

The very nucleus of the Christian Faith is built upon the finished work of The Cross, for without the cross there is no Christianity. When we say the cross we are not speaking of the actual tree that Jesus hung on, but we are actually speaking of the person and the work of Jesus Christ, who he is, and what he’s done!! Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, and he came to this world to offer himself as a sacrifice for the entirety of the human race.

We should all agree that we were all born in sin and shaped in iniquity, and that the problem for all of humanity is sin. Being that the problem is sin then there must be a solution for that problem. Over the years man has attempted to offer a myriad of solutions, but to no avail, simply due to the fact that man is incapable of ridding himself of sin. God, however, has provided the only solution for sin and that is His son, Jesus Christ. Simply put, the answer for all of humanity is the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and no matter the sin or the bondage His blood still sets men free! It was The Apostle Paul who said that sin shall not have dominion over us, so as believers we must embrace fully that a great price has been paid, and we are no longer slaves to sin, but we are children of God! So, think of it, man is born in sin, shaped in iniquity, and cannot in any way save himself. God, who is merciful, became man, went to a cruel cross, died, was buried in a tomb, rose from the dead, and now He’s seated by the right hand of the Father in heaven, hence, a completed work! Now, all man has to do is place faith in that finished work and he becomes the righteousness of God!

People of God, the blood has been shed, and we are new creatures in Christ Jesus because of his finished work at Calvary. Everything, and I mean everything has been accomplished and paid for, and all we have to do is rest in what Christ has already done for us. In the words of an old song, Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin left a crimson stain, but his blood washes them white as snow!
John 19:30

When Jesus has therefore received the vinegar, he said it is finished and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost!

Bread Crumbs “In Times Like These” April 17

In this day of dangerous inconsistencies among the relationships of men, we oftentimes find ourselves longing for a safe shelter from the severity of storms. In today's world we face instantaneous riots, wherein men destroy the personal property of others via illegal protests. We have drivers in automobiles so overcome with rage that lives are often lost before the anger is abated. A life is forfeited over something as simple as a lane change in traffic. We view countries aiming lethal chemical weaponry towards children. We see ungodly and evil despots threatening the world with their nuclear strength and abilities. Even our own government has infighting to a degree that it threatens the well being of the people it has sworn to serve. I am so relieved to know that my God has promised to shield me and protect me from harm. Christ Jesus is my safe shelter from these hostile storms that surround me. He is my promised safe haven and is the sole Prince of peace of my heart. He has promised that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and that He will keep my foot from being dashed against a stone. He shall keep me from the snare of the fowler! Only Jesus can meet my need in times like these!

The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:4
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Paul says that if anyone thinks they can trust in themselves, if they can trust in all they have done, their name, their abilities and accomplishments, he has FAR more to be able to boast about. Here he’s not dealing with musical and singing talents, nor any worldly skills, but rather he is speaking of those who are trusting in their attempts to keep the Law before God, or earn His Righteousness through what they do. Paul says that he has FAR more accomplishments according to the Law than any of them. God’s Word tells us that nothing we do in the flesh can be used to glory before God (Romans 4:2-3).

There is only one place God has allowed man to boast, and that is in His Son Jesus Christ and what HE DID in His flesh for ALL humanity (Romans 8:3, Galatians 6:14, Hebrews 2:9) by the grace of God. The reason for this is because what Christ did on the cross for all men is the work of Righteousness (Isaiah 32:17, Colossians 1:20), which allows us to, through faith in that work alone, be Righteous in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21), to be servants of Righteousness (Romans 6:17-18), and to bear forth the fruits of His Righteousness (Philippians 1:11). The STATUS, the MISSION, and the FRUIT are all because of and by the power of what He did at the cross in His flesh, not what we do in ours! Praise be to the Lamb of God forever and forever!

Your Word for Today

“for he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits (27 feet) high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits (18 feet) did compass either of them about (I Ki. 7:15).

The pillars of copper are mentioned seven times in the Bible (I Ki. 7:15; II Ki. 25:13; I Chron. 18:8; II Chron. 3:15; Jer. 27:19; 52:17; Rev. 3:12).

These Scriptures state that the copper was captured by David from the Syrians (I Chron. 18:8). David’s incursion into these Gentile areas and the taking of the copper symbolize believing sinners being brought into the Kingdom of God. Before David took it, almost all of this copper (which consisted of lampstands, doorstops, altars to heathen gods, etc.) was dedicated to heathen gods, symbolizing believing sinners brought from the world into the Grace of God.

At the appointed time, Solomon took all of these ornaments and melted them together, thereby destroying their past identity, even as our wicked past is destroyed in Christ (II Chron. 4:17). We like to think that the talent and ability of the ungodly, should they come to the Lord, could be used greatly for Christ; however, none of it truly can be used for God. Everything of the world and of the flesh must be stripped away, with the Holy Spirit Alone having His Perfect Way.

These notable pillars were peculiar to the Temple, as distinguished from the Tabernacle; for, in the Tabernacle, God was the traveling Companion of His People, but, in the Millennium, He will be a Resident among them. The pillars were works of art, displaying strength, beauty, and grace of surpassing splendor. These pillars, therefore, pictured Christ as Israel’s Millennial King; they voiced the strength, the grace, the beauty, the life, and the varied fruit of the Spirit, which will be seen in Him when He sets up His visible Kingdom over the Earth. Their dazzling splendor of polished copper, illumined by the rising sun (for the pillars faced the rising sun), prefigured the moral glory of Christ as the Door of the House of God.

And yet, our Lord tells us, “Him who overcomes will I make a pillar in the Temple of My God” (Rev. 3:12). This plainly tells us that every Believer, of which the pillars in the Temple were a type, will rule and reign with Christ.”

Bread Crumbs “Overcoming Sorrow” April 18

Sorrow is more than a temporary feeling. Sorrow is more intense and long lasting than simple sadness. It runs a devastating course through the soul of those who experience it, wreaking havoc in its path. By sorrow the normal activities of everyday become drudgery. Someone traveling with great sorrow may easily lose all energy and the will to move forward. Sorrow can sap one's strength, leaving them listless and caring for nothing. People in this state have a bruise of the heart. Nothing shows on the surface, yet long after the event that brought on the sorrow is past, the strength of its bondage remains, creating a nightmare of unequaled despair. To those in this state I offer a solution. I offer hope beyond the distress. The Lord Jesus comes today offering the opportunity for healing, restoration, and peace. He is the only one that can heal the broken heart you own and will set every captive free that willingly comes to Him. He lifts up those who are bowed over in spirit and brings new life to the soul that can barely breathe. Place your faith, your life, and your broken being in His capable hands and you will experience the miracle of restoration. He has promised to turn none away.

Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:5
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Paul the Apostle begins to list the things that, IF men were able to boast of their own accomplishments, these are a few of what he would be able to boast in. He followed the Law above probably most all of the Jew’s, but the problem is that no one has ever been able to keep the Law perfectly without sin. The simplicity of his message was that if I’m boasting in what I’m doing MYSELF, then it is SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Never forget that the spirit behind SELF TRANSFORMATION is the spirit of Satan (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).

Christ and His sacrifice at the cross is the only place God has declared men through their faith in Him and His work there alone, as Righteous (Isaiah 32:17, Romans 3:25-26, Hebrews 12:24). Again, the simplicity of true biblical faith which God honors and rewards is that which is exclusively in Christ and His work on the cross, for if it is not, then it is only in what we are DOING OURSELVES. The Holy Spirit works through our faith in Christ and His work on the cross alone, for that is the Truth that liberates and the only place God will be found working His great Salvation plan (Psalm 33:4, John 8:32, Romans 8:2). Trust in that wonderful Savior called Jesus today, for He will save and deliver us, not only from an eternal hell, but from ourselves and our own self righteousness which as filthy rags to Him (Isaiah 64:6).

Your Word for Today

“then Solomon assembled the Elders of Israel, and all the heads of the Tribes, the chief of the fathers of the Children of Israel, unto King Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion (I Ki. 8:1).

The Temple is now finished! It seems that approximately a year, or maybe even a little more time, had elapsed between its completion and its dedication. This great event occurred in the Year of Jubilee, during the Feast of Tabernacles, in connection with the Great Day of Atonement. The Feast of the Dedication lasted for seven days, then came the Great Day of Atonement, and finally the seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles. Thus are the circumstances of the dedication harmonized with the Grace and the Glory of the future Kingdom which was then foreshadowed, and we speak of the coming Kingdom Age.

The Ark of the Covenant was brought up from Zion, the city of David, where it had been lodged in a tent, to the neighboring hill of Moriah, upon which the Temple was built; and the Tabernacle of Moses was brought up from Gibeon, where it had been in the days of Saul. It may be assumed that the Tabernacle and its vessels were reverently laid up among the “treasures of the House” (I Ki. 7:51).

The Ark, having the Tables of the Law within it, was placed within the Holy of Holies. All was performed exactly as the Bible commanded; consequently, the Glory of Jehovah filled the House of Jehovah.

By God’s Command (I Chron. 28:19), there were variations made in the vessels in the Temple as contrasted with those of the Tabernacle. These changes harmonize with the purpose of the Temple as an exposition of the coming Glory, but there was no alteration with respect to the Ark, for it was God’s one and only Throne. Its staves, however, were withdrawn, and the Golden Pot of Manna and Aaron’s Rod that budded, which were associated with the Tabernacle in the wilderness (Ex. 16:33; Num. 17:10; Heb. 9:4), are not mentioned. All this is harmonious.

The Ark entered its rest. The staves with which the Priests had borne it in the wilderness were withdrawn and became the memorials of that time of pilgrimage, testifying to the Grace and Faithfulness which had brought them into God’s Rest. But Aaron’s Rod and the Pot of Manna are not mentioned, for these, being types of that which would be substantial in the Millennium, necessarily disappeared — they would be out of place in the glorious reign and rest of Canaan.

Therefore, it was that Solomon, as Priest and King, in the presence of a manifested glory, displaced Aaron and his Priesthood; for he, and not the High Priest, dedicated the Temple and blessed the people, because Solomon represented Christ Who will reign supreme in the coming Kingdom Age.

The Ten Commandments remained in the Ark; for the Word of the Lord endures forever. It is mentioned with emphasis (I Ki. 8:9) that they, and nothing else, were in the Ark. This had to be; for the Law of God was hidden in the Messiah’s heart (Ps. 119:11), as it was hidden in the Ark. That Law will be the basis and rule of the Righteousness which will govern in the coming Kingdom Age.

The Law, in fact, is kept now, and will be forever, through Christ and what Christ has done for us at the Cross.”

Bread Crumbs “I Will Praise Him” April 19

From the most inward portion of my soul, I must praise Him. From the depths of my spirit, I must proclaim His greatness. From the farthest recesses of my mind, I acknowledge His prominence. From the gratefulness of my heart, I will declare His marvelous work towards me. For He alone has freed me from the grip and the grasp of my enemy most feared. He alone has delivered me from the snares laid before my feet and has spared my soul from the dungeon of the eternally damned. He alone has led me to life abundant, life worth living, life with meaning. He has set my soul free and it soars among the peaks with the majestic splendor of eagles. He alone has forgiven my sin, changed my heart, opened my eyes. He alone is worthy of my praise and I cannot, I dare not, refrain my lips from proclaiming what my mind and my heart acknowledge. He is forever worthy of my exultation, my adulation, my adoration. My voice shall not be silent nor stilled. I will join with all creation that has realized the truth and will declare that Jesus is Lord over all! For all eternity I will exist to praise His name!

The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:6
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

In verse 5 Paul reveals the first four things which he inherited at birth without his choice, that if boasting in who we are, and what we do could obtain our righteousness before God, he would already be ahead of probably all men. Then he lists his accomplishments by choice which he at one time made as he thought he could obtain righteousness by the Law, which is impossible (Romans 8:3). Paul, had before His trust in Christ, the same zealous spirit that he writes about at the end of Romans Chapter 9 and the first part of Chapter 10. If one’s faith is not correct, there will always be a persecution toward others who do not believe like we do.

When Paul met and trusted in Jesus, that He was the promised “Seed of the Woman” (Genesis 3:15), The Savior which God sent, he began his daily surrender. His boast then changed, and everything about him began to change. Jesus changes everything (2 Corinthians 5:17). Righteousness is exclusively obtained and experienced through faith in Christ and HIS WORK at Calvary (Isaiah 32:17, Isaiah 53), and when we are trusting only in His work there, we will surely begin to denounce everything else that we have ever trusted in. Make no mistake about it, we have trusted in many other things than Christ in the past, and more than likely if we are honest with ourselves,we find ourselves at times doing so now, but we repent and come back to the faith we obtained through His Righteousness (2 Peter 1:1) so we can function again for His glory!

“and Solomon offered a Sacrifice of Peace Offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the Children of Israel dedicated the House of the LORD. Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from Heaven and consumed the Burnt Offering and the Sacrifices; and the Glory of the LORD filled the House. And the Priests could not enter into the House of the LORD because the Glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S House (I Ki. 8:63; II Chron. 7:1-2).

The Temple was the only building in the entirety of the world in which the One True God was worshipped.

There is every evidence that the Lord gave Solomon these instructions regarding the tremendous number of Sacrifices which were offered at the Dedication of the Temple. This proclaimed the fact that Israel’s foundation, its only foundation, was the Precious Blood of Christ, of which the Sacrifices were a symbol. The tremendous number of animals offered portrays the significance of what Jesus would do at Calvary; consequently, it is not possible to overemphasize the Cross of Christ, as here should be abundantly evident.

Before the abundant number of sacrifices were offered, appropriate sacrifices were placed on the Great Altar. The Scripture says, “Fire came down from Heaven, and consumed them.” The fire that consumed the “Burnt Offering” at the Dedication “came down from Heaven,” but the fire that consumed the Burnt Offering at the Dedication of the Tabernacle “came out from before the LORD,” that is, came out from between the Cherubim within the Most Holy Place, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. But in coming out from, and passing through, the Tabernacle, that fire did not burn even the Veil through which it passed, for that Tent, in essence, was Christ. This is characteristic. The fire from the Tabernacle is Christ in His First Advent; the fire from Heaven, Christ in His Second Advent, even as the Tabernacle portrayed the First Advent of Christ, while the Temple portrayed His Second Advent.

The latter has not yet come to pass, but it most assuredly shall!

The Sacrifice was offered, representing Calvary; the fire fell on the Sacrifice, consuming it, typifying the Judgment of God poured out on Christ instead of upon us who rightly deserved it. Then at that time the Glory filled the Temple to such an extent that the Priests could not even enter the Temple for the force of that power.

Let it therefore ever be understood:

The True Glory of the Lord will accompany nothing but Christ and His Cross. Any other professed glory is fake, as, of necessity, it must be. Everything must be based squarely on the Cross of Christ (I Pet. 1:18-20).”

Bread Crumbs “Standing Fast” April 20

The real battle that faces the believer everyday is not a battle to win a victory. It is a battle to hold fast to the victory that Jesus has already won. Jesus has already defeated sin, sickness, the pull of our flesh, the devil, the attractions of the world, and every circumstance we face while in it. It is our responsibility to appropriate these victories by faith. We are to fight the good fight of faith. We are to fig...ht to believe! The Saint of God needs to understand that believing is the action side of faith. As we place our trust in the finished work of Christ to meet our every need, God’s Spirit joyfully attends to every situation. There is nothing He cannot accomplish and nothing He will not do when our faith rests in Christ’s finished work. When we trust in something other than what Christ has provided, we quench, grieve, and push away the Spirit and His promise of assistance. He will not work where He is not wanted. Faith in Christ’s work glorifies Christ and the Spirit is ever faithful to exalt Him by working for the one who trusts exclusively in Jesus. So keep standing strong in the faith and reap the benefits of Christ’s work for you!

Galatians 5:1 - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:7
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Paul, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, was enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit, to count everything that he had once relied on for his Righteous standing with God, as loss. “As loss” refers to those things which were actually “Robbing” him of the very Righteousness of God he was after. When we are told that we can be saved, delivered, or even grow outside of simple childlike faith in the work of Christ at Calvary, we are being lied to, and when we believe it, all that remains is ungodliness and unrighteousness in the eyes of God no matter what we think, or how we feel.
The reason Paul could count everything he had trusted in before he surrendered to Christ as loss, was because he truly had his faith in Christ, not some church or gathering, or some Pastor, or denomination, but he actually began to trust in Christ alone. His trust in Christ was not simply for an eternal Life that would begin after he died, but the eternal Life he had obtained right then and there. When we, as the Church come back to the cross, then and only then will we find the power to count everything else we’ve trusted in as robbing God of what He could be doing in and through our lives today.

“and Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the Altar of the LORD that was broken down (I Ki. 18:30).

For God to move, the Altar, which was broken down, and which was a Type of the coming Atonement of Christ, had first of all to be repaired. Presently, the Church, that is, if it is to see a Move of God, has to come back to the Cross. God will tolerate no other direction.

To repair the Altar, Elijah used “twelve stones.” The number “twelve” is God’s number of Government; however, it must ever be remembered that it is God’s Government and not man’s. His Government is His Word. That Government is centered up in the Cross.

Elijah next “made a trench about the Altar,” which speaks of separation. To be sure, the Cross of Christ separates Believers from the world; it alone will separate Believers from the world.

Then the great Prophet put the Bullock, cut in pieces, on the Altar, which represented Christ on the Cross. The “Bullock, cut in pieces” represents the horror of sin. It is much more than a mere surface problem, but rather goes to the very vitals of the human being, hence the necessity of the Cross, which alone addresses sin, both its cause and its effect (Heb. 10:12).

He then “filled four barrels with water,” did it three times, and poured it on the Sacrifice that was to be offered; the water ran down and filled the trench. The “water” is a Type of the Word of God, which is to saturate everything. More than all, this typifies that the Cross of Christ alone fulfills the Word of God in every respect. In other words, if the Believer is not basing everything strictly on the Cross, what he is doing is not according to the Word and cannot be blessed by the Lord.

This being done, “the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the Burnt Sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench” (I Ki. 18:38).

The fire falling represented the Judgment of God. It fell on Christ instead of on mankind; however, if the Cross is not ever the Object of one’s Faith, to be sure, ultimately the fire of judgment will fall, and it will be on the individual instead of on Christ. Christ became our Substitute, thereby, taking our place; however, as God the Father cannot be approached except through Christ (Jn. 14:6), likewise, Christ cannot be approached except through the Cross (Lk. 9:23).”

Every person brought into this world is born at enmity with God. There is a war going on in every man’s heart that causes him to reject God’s ways and to rely on a destiny of his own making. Men want to be the masterminds of their lives. Thinking ourselves wise, we strive to please ourselves. At its very core the heart of man is deceitful, wicked, and invariably turns away from God to set its own course. But 2000 years ...ago, God, who was the original offended party, sent His own Son to establish peace with mankind. He lived a perfect life; never sinned in word, thought, or deed. Then He sacrificed Himself to end the enmity between man and God. All He asks of mankind is that we trust in His sacrificial death. If we accept Him as Savior, seeing ourselves as the sinner, then He supernaturally recreates us. He then establishes us in a relationship with God who becomes our Heavenly Father. A peace unlike any other can then be realized and true living begins. It is not by works of righteousness that we are saved, but rather because of His mercy and by the blood of His Cross. There is no peace in this life without faith in Jesus.
Colossians 1:20 - And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Philippians 3:8
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Paul, led by the Holy Spirit to give us these wonderful words of this great Salvation AND Deliverance experience taking place in his life, reveals that he counted everything loss for the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord which he calls, “The excellency of the knowledge.” Paul is here saying that anything that will keep him from “Excelling” in the knowledge of Christ, he has counted loss, which refers to those things that will rob him of this more excellent Way!

Paul also says that he counts everything as dung that has or would ever keep him from winning Christ, which refers to gaining more of His knowledge. Paul was willing to suffer the loss of all things, which were actually things that had caused him great loss in God’s eyes in his past. Is our attempt today to gain Christ, or is it to gain something other? The Lord is calling His people in these last days to a place to see those things that have caused us great loss, and pointing us to His Son’s work for us at the cross so we can see properly, and once again have the proper desires in our hearts. Not just the right words, but the right knowledge of Christ, and this excelling knowledge will be the very experiential knowledge of Him. Praise God and the Lamb forever!
