Bread Crumbs “Fleas Come With the Dog”
This is meant as a simple word of encouragement to Pastors, employers, and ministry leaders. When a business or ministry increases, so does it's need for workers. If a land owner had a large amount of ground to till, plow, or harvest, (in Solomon’s day) the use of oxen became a necessity. When you had little or no land, the barn could easily be kept clean for there were fewer animals needed. However, when the demand for covering more ground came, the oxen increased. Guess what? The barn now takes longer to clean and can became a real issue. More oxen - greater work - greater mess! Bigger ministry - more people - more problems! You will not be able to do what you want to do for the Lord all by yourself. This means that a major part of making any ministry go depends upon the human factor. The human presence promises that “drama” of all types is sure to surface. So do not forget to love the ones making the mess! Without them the task would be too large for you! And while you are learning how to receive grace to deal with others, bear in mind that others are having to receive grace to deal with you!
Prov 14:4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
