The Pharisees convinced people that Jesus was sinful in the eyes of God. They condemned God in the flesh,

If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you....They hated me without a cause. Jn.15:20,25

By believing Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross and also believing that he was buried and that he rose from the dead on the third day?
Read what Paul wrote in 1 Cor 15:

1 Corinthians 15:

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

No read what Paul wrote in Rom 10:

Romans 10:

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I am not sure that just "believing Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross" is "how we're saved".

There is also the matter of confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Is it possible for someone to believe Jesus took the punishment for their sins [everybody wants the savior] but that person doesn't really believe Jesus is Lord [not everybody wants the Lord]?

I believe we must follow the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives. Yes, He died for my sins. Yes, He rose from the dead. Yes, He ascended up into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God and He makes intercession for us (Rom 8:34). The Lord Jesus Christ is set at God's own right hand in the heavenlies far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:20,21).

Can a person believe that Jesus took the punishment for our sins without really believing that Jesus Christ is Lord? I don't know. But if a person does not acknowledge Jesus Christ is Lord, he or she is not saved (according to Rom 10).

Does this make sense to you?

I just have a question.

In 1 Corinthians 15:3 is it saying that Christ died for everyone's sins?

Who has sins if not all men? We are saved by grace. Learn what is Gods grace to understand how we are saved.

Read what Paul wrote in 1 Cor 15:

1 Corinthians 15:

3 .....Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
So Jesus said,

It is to fulfil the word that is written in their law, 'They hated me without a cause.' Jn.15:25

According to the scriptures, Jesus was viewed as sinful by the religious leaders, not by his Father. He was condemned unjustly, by liars.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

All who confess Jesus Christ is Lord (as stated in Rom 10:9) believe that Christ died for our sins (as stated in 1 Cor 15:3) ... are these people saved?

Not all who claim Christ died for our sins (as stated in 1 Cor 15:3) have confessed Jesus is Lord (as stated in Rom 10:9) ... are these people saved?

How can you say that Jesus didn't die to take the punishment for our sins (if that's what you're saying)? Jesus died for our sins, right? Don't those words mean that he died to take the punishment for our sins?

How can you say that Jesus didn't die to take the punishment for our sins (if that's what you're saying)?
Because Jesus was judged and punished by sinners who hated God. God wasn't judging sin. Man was judging God

Jesus died for our sins, right?
According to the scriptures,

the power of the dog. Psa.22:20

God isn't a dog.

Don't those words mean that he died to take the punishment for our sins?
No. It means God came to draw us to himself, but was rejected by men. He suffered for our sins unjustly.

Is there anything else someone would have to believe?
I have read many of these replies to you question and so far they have all left out something very important in their answers to your question.
Yes there is something more that is needed to be saved and that is the condition of your heart. Besides believing that Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead. You also need to believe His gospel. There must be a fundamental change in the condition of your heart when you realize that you are a sinner by nature and only Christ can change that. This change in your heart should cause you to repent/turn from living a life of un-repented sin to a life living for Christ.
Without that fundamental change in your heart and repentance from a life of un-repented sin, simply believing that Christ died for your sins and rose from the grave doesn't get anyone saved in the eyes of Christ.
