So what would have happened if jesus acted on his own and did not do the will of the father?
I don't even want to think about that possibility.
It would be the final downfall of mankind. Everybody would die. No hope of deliverance ever.
But thankfully the Lamb was slain and works finished from the foundation of the world.

Moses, Isaiah 63:11.

The lost sheep of the house of Israel is not referencing the nation of Israel, but the house of Jacob. For they are not all Israel which are of Israel. Rom 9:6.
That is true, we all were born as natural men/women, until God quickened us to a new spiritual life.
But your still a natural man also.

And what do you say it says?.
I think it implies that the regenerated person can lose his fellowship, temporary, until he repents, without losing his eternal inheritance. My interpretation of this verse is based in harmony with other scriptures.

Well that is how you see it. Personally I don't know of anybody that recycles puke.

I did not expect this kind of statement from you. Are you not willing to discuss this scripture further? Should not scripture prove scripture when they harmonize with each other?

Do you think that the unregenerate natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, could repent of breaking a spiritual law that he cannot understand, and thinks it is foolishness? Those who have been regenerated, and given a new heart of flesh that can be pricked to be made to feel guilty, are the only ones that will repent of breaking a spiritual law.

Its seems to me from my work with evangelism that there is a common theme that crops up time and time again . To one degree or another its ' works salvation ' . It usually is disguised and couched in less than obvious ways ,but winds up the same. This is from cults to false religions and sadly within christianity. The more subtle variations of the theme are usually framed in terms connected to baptism, obedience, perseverance, endurance, faithfulness , commitment, surrendering, Lordship, ect . I see this as virtue
signalling . But the hardest message to be accepted , and is hotly contested is the simple truth of salvation through faith and once your sealed by the Holy Spirit this is until the day of redemption. Paul was constantly attacked for preaching ' licence to sin ' , turning the message of grace into a message of licence. I see this one truth that stands alone . Where as all other groups , isms, cults , false religions are on the opposite end with different degrees of course , but essentially argue against ' sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. I believe that is the Gospel and all other messages are attacking the Gospel.
I think most organized religions don't really know what Christianity ACTUALLY is.

But they know what it looks like. They know what Christians do. And what they don't do.

And so they attempt to make a bunch of rules and theology to "help" the natural, carnal person do what only Abiding in Christ can accomplish.

So that most church services become a bunch of self help lessons with scripture reading.

I think @GraceAndTruth hit upon the reason for this with John 1:12-13. The Pastor can't create Christians. Going to church can't create Christians. Trying to emulate Christians doesn't make someone Christian. It is Christ who makes Christians.

I think this is the difference between being called and being chosen. The difference between showing up to the wedding clothed with wedding garments or not.

Jesus in revelation is not talking to the unsaved but the saved. This message is talking to the churches.
Judgement begins in the house of the Lord. Always has.
Sinful men are called to repent to believe and to follow.
God's people are also called to repent, to obey, and to persevere.
The church has been given a responsibility through Christ and all the tools to meet that responsibility.

I try to figure out how someone is coming at this. Well I have over my life come at things as if I am right..HELLO yes! haha no. So the message being posted comes from a personal belief. There are truths in which we can do this John 3 16-17came in the flesh.. and Christ being the only way to the Father. That is not of us its a truth.

I read "its ' works salvation ' . It usually is disguised and couched in less than obvious ways ,but winds up the same. This is from cults to false religions and sadly within christianity. " SONG "there was another standing in the FIRE" man I LOVE THAT! Another died for me.. sorry..

So "works salvation" from cults and false religions? I don't agree with it but I can show you in His word how someone could come to this conclusion. No evil needed at all. Stand back and remember we all don't live the same life. So many things in this life define us.. somethings that should not yet we read that word and see things differently.

What we miss is.. that person was found by a GOD and He made a promise that what He started He will finish. There is no other truth out there. As long as I say to Him.. I HAVE to do works to please you or show how righteous I am.. unless I truly seek ask "a Father I am wrong here?" He will not say a word. As long as I KNOW I am right He will not go against my will. If we are truly friends He will speak up..
