let me help you a little bit. I did not become a Christian until my late thirties.
A Christian friend invited me one day to come to church with Him. I went
because he was a friend and I had nothing to do. By that one time of saying
yes, God took over my live. Not all at one time of course but over a course of
many years. We do have to accept a little bit of teaching to help our formulation.
I suggest you do read some scripture, some knowledge is necessary but what you
do read, read it and feel it in your heart just as you are talking with your best friend.
Don't read it strictly for knowledge as Christians were born with Christian parents
and are brain washed. They go to churches and they get brain washed and most
never learn and know God intimately. The remainder become puppets and study
the bible as a part time career so they can argue over it day after day. Read it with
peace and love in your heart so can come to a place for the maximum you need to
know is Love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. Jesus
Christ Himself said That is my only commandment to you. It is good for your
soul to read scripture now and then to stay in touch. I don't believe you need to
find a church. Jesus was talking directly to us. If we are serious about being a
Christian we trust Christ and Christ only, everyone else has their own opinion.
God bless you and know that He loves you with all His heart. May His peace
and love be with you forever.
