You contradict yourself. Do they have the imputed righteousness of Christ,
or must they attain their own righteousness by stopping all manner of sin?
I believe it is a combination of the two. 1 John 3:6 tells us this "No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him."

A combination of the two would mean we become sinless... as in, stop sinning altogether.

So, what happens when a person believes the Gospel, and on their path of sanctification decides that they don't like sanctification and hardens their heart toward god until they no longer believe the Gospel?
Been there, done that. I'm still standing firm in my faith after walking away several times in my life. As rotten as I am on my own, He still keeps reeling me in.

As the elect, we really have no choice. I've been running away from God all my life, but for some reason, here I am proclaiming the Gospel. However, that doesn't mean I have the same standing in the Kingdom as an apostle— far from it.

I wonder what you mean that we have no choice. No choice but to proclaim the gospel, or no choice but to believe it? If you say you have no choice to but to proclaim the gospel, maybe I believe you, because in most of the scriptures, God will wreck you if he wants to use you to proclaim something and you don't do it. But even then, you have a choice- proclaim or get wrecked.

With belief, I'm pretty sure that's a choice. With respect to the "elect" and 'chosen" to be saved, I don't think that means God forced belief on you, it just means he calls and you answer. You can hang up any time you want. He doesn't say "Behold, I stand at the door and knock... and If you don't answer I will break the door down, so open up!!" It's not like that.

You can even proclaim the Gospel and still not even believe it- nothing stops some of these preachers from thinking what they are saying is a lie they are telling to get a paycheck.

I never said one must work to be saved or stay saved. I said you will be obedient because you are saved. But if a person is disobedient, that is a good indication that person is not saved. Do you see the difference?

If a person is born again.........Legalism then becomes .......trying to stay saved by any effort you choose. This can be commandment keeping,......whatever.

If a person is not born again, then Legalsim is......im doing this so that God will have me.

The difference between the 2, is......the born again lost faith in Christ and how are trying to STAY SAVED, by......self.
The Christ Rejector, is trying to become saved by self

In both cases, Christ is set aside and SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS, has become FAITH.

The Law is a schoolmaster, teaching us that we cannot keep the law because we are sinners. Nobody can keep the law.
jesus kept if for us.
God came here as Christ, "fulfilled the Law", "lived a sinless life", and goes to the Cross to offer you a DIVINE EXCHANGE.

See what Christ accomplished? This is given to you, as if you did it, and your sin becomes........ "Christ became Sin"...

See that SWAP?

We are born again, a "new Creation" by becoming the righteousness that Christ earned, and He becomes our sin.
This is the Divine Exchange.
We are born again.......a NEW CREATION............"IN CHRIST".........so, we become JOINED to The Spirit of Christ, which causes us to be BIRTHED in the >SPIRIT,< = as a SON OF GOD.

What is the different being born again and being believe in jesus
Jesus sa John 3:16
For God so love the worl..... so who sorbet believe will be save
Why you not agree with Jesus?
Being born again is the only proof a person is become a Son of God.

John 3
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus say whosoever believe have eternal life
Have eternal life mean save mean become the son of God
Born again become con of God

So born again mean believe

You may have a wrong interpretation of legalism.

If we are a born again believer, are we saved? Yes.

Are we who are saved followers of Jesus? Yes.

Are we who are follower of Jesus observing Jesus's commands? Yes.

Do we observe Jesus's commands for the glory of God? Yes.

Do we who are born again saved believers who follow Jesus and observe His commands for the glory of God have a personal relationship with Jesus? Yes.

If you claim to be born again, and claim to be saved, and claim to be a follower of Jesus, and you are living in total disobedience to His commands, you are not living up to your claims of being a born again saved follower of Jesus. Jesus will say "I never knew you. Go away you who practice lawlessness."

So Paul was wrong to say murder not go to heaven, in your system murder and Robert go to heaven
Nope, what I’m saying is that if one is in Christ he is no longer a murderer because he has the righteousness of Christ. Christ was not a murderer. If I tell a lie that does not mean that I’m a liar because Christ was not a liar. But, in the eyes of man in this world, I would be a liar.

The law is no longer against those who are in Christ. He took it away nailing it to the cross. Should we sin that grace may abound? God forbid.

Converted murderers and all converted evildoers go to Heaven because of the imputed righteousness that God gives as a gift to those who repents and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Conversion and repentance mean that the criminals have stopped committing crimes, and are living soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world. Since all men are sinners in God's eyes, all must turn away from their sins and idols in order to enter Heaven.
What? Does the imputed righteousness of Christ leave a man if that man sins?

No. God says "Be ye holy as I am holy". That should suffice. Conversion would be a sham if a murderer went back to murdering.

Yes, but would that man lose the righteousness of Christ? The only way that I’m going to be holy is by the righteousness of Christ.

Jesus will say "I never knew you. Go away you who practice lawlessness."

Let me show you something that can help you see the wonder of God's Grace.

Now, i give you the benefit of the doubt that you born again, and not just water baptized, being told that "the water washed away your sin".
So, if that happened to you, then you are water baptized, and nothing else..

Here is the thing,

On the day you trusted Christ and God took your faith as..."faith is counted as righteousness", God KNEW That DAY, of every sin you would commit later, and all the days that you were cold to God, that would happen after you were saved.
He knew all that, about you, and He saved you anyway.
He saved you anyway, Jerry, knowing of your sinning and other issues that you would do later.
Why?
Why would God save you, KNOWING that later, you would break commandments, willfully sin, and sometimes just not be concerned about God, .....?????

Why?

Because God understands that His Blood that Is Christ on the Cross, and His Death, which is Christ on The Cross.......has more power to keep you saved than you have the means by lifestyle to lose your salvation.

Notice Romans 4:8..........PAUL teaches that God does not charge your sin to you, ever again, if you are born again.

Notice that Paul teaches the REASON...... = Romans 5:20.....>"where sin abounds GRACE more abounds"..

= where sin is found GRACE is greater than your sin.

Welcome to your salvation. Its a GIFT.

If you tell lie you not a liar
If you murder you not a killer
Than why Paul say murder not inherit kingdom?

It you rob the bank, police don't have the right to arrest you because Jesus die for that, He pay the penalty for you
Yes, but would that man lose the righteousness of Christ? The only way that I’m going to be holy is by the righteousness of Christ.

No. God says "Be ye holy as I am holy". That should suffice. Conversion would be a sham if a murderer went back to murdering.

God says for you to be Holy as He is Holy.

Can you do that for yourself?
You cannot, as you are a sinner.
So, can a sinner be "holy?

So, to teach that you can be holy.....as holy as God, OF YOURSELF.......is to define yourself as being able to do that for yourself.
That's impossible.
This is why God came here.....>He came here to give you His righteousness, so that you become "the righteousness of God, in Christ".

This is the Gift of Salvation, .....which is.......the born again are "MADE RIGHTEOUS".

Exactly.

We become the righteousness of God.....because Christ joins our Spirt into His......= 'in Christ".
This spiritual UNION< is to be born again as a New Creation....>"In Christ".......having become.....>"One with GOD".
